Would you take th greyhound bus? -

In march, myself, fiancee ad brother will be taking the greyhound from maine, down to Missouri. To see our best friend who just move from maine to missouri. Never take the greyhound so i didnt know what the experiance was like. Didnt know if some people could give me some advice/tips and some of their own experiances? Thanks a bunch.

The Greyhound is safer than driving. Yes there was that horrible incident in Canada last year but that is the only time such a thing has ever happened.

Someone had their head cut off on a Greyhound bus by a crazy guy with a knife. He then ate pieces of his face and showed it to everyone on the bus. So, no. I would not take a Greyhound bus.

What is a good mid-sized city to retire in Texas? -

For an officer with 20 years service in the Army and his wife. Must have airport nearby for visiting children. I was looking at western Texas, if there was a place with mountain (hill) views, drier climate and lots of sunshine.

Georgetown is the #1 city in the state of TX to retire in. It is 3hrs away from Dallas and less than an hr from Lake Travis, Round Rock and an hr from Austin several wineries and 2 hrs from San Antonio. The city has several festivals in its old down town and near a cave. My husband and I are 28 and 29 and we love visiting the city. There are tond of older people but it is such a great family and retirement area.

If you want an airport, hills, dry climate with lots of sunshine, cheap real estate, and close to a military base where you can shop and find temporary job, El Paso the Sun City is your answer. The only thing is this city has over 75% of its population Spanish speaking Mexicans, but then you can find laborers working in your yard and cleaning your house very easily.

Sun City is a 5,300 acre community in Georgetown, Texas, which is a suburb of Austin, in the hill country. Residency is restricted to 55 and older. It has golf courses, pools, tennis courts, lakes for boating fiishing, cultural activities. People come from all over the US because of the low cost of living mild climate. You should check it out - - it s beautiful country.

El Paso is nice and you have a little mix of weather but not alot of rain.Plus there are many thingsto do there and not far to New Mexico where there is alot of history. The Sun shines most ofthe time.Air- port there.I think there is an Air Base not too far away. Not sure though.

Is it ridiculous to hit the major sites of NY in a few hours? -

We have a four hour layover in Newark. Is it crazy to try to go see anything while we are in the area?We arrive at 2:40 and leave at 6:30 p.m.

Especially figuring time to get into town and back, leaving a cushion to get back to the plane, you could slip in tp eat or to see one thing, but I doubt that it is worth it.

Ur not going to have enough time to see them. BUT u can see like very few. The closest,a nd quickest. These links can help u:http://www.googlemaps.comhttp://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-27Good luck!
