Wheres the best place to live in santa monica if you have kids? -

also what are the school systems like?

The better single family homes are on the north side of Santa Monica, try looking for something north of Montana, its safe, and you may be able to find a decent sized yard The school system in Santa Monica is one of the best in the city. The elementary schools for North Santa Monica are Franklyn and Roosevelt, both very good schools, the middle school is Lincoln, also good. the high school is fine, although it starts to get a little big, and you definitely want your kids to be in the honors classes. Meanwhile, there are also some great private schools, Crossroads probably being the most famous. You pretty much cant go wrong in Santa Monica.

Santa Monica is not that big and does not really have any bad areas. However, it is very expensive to live there.

Where is a good place to raise a family? -

Any suggestions? We just had a baby and looking for a safe, affordable, place to live. We are currently in raleigh, nc looking for a change to another city or state. thanks

Worcester County, Massachusetts however, winters here do suck, other than that it is a very nice place to live

If your husband has a transferable job, find out if the company has openings some place else. NC is hard on families, they tax you to death. I worked there for 2 years, at $12 an hour, we were just barely making ends meet.

You could try somewhere in New England (maybe Maine or Massachusetts), or you could go somewhere in New York besides NYC (maybe upstate New York).

What is it like in LA? -

Weather, traffic, danger, people, sorroundings/places, fun/boring, jobs, expensive?

Sun is out most of the timeTraffic is terribleDepends where in LA you re at but it s usually South Central Los Angeles (obviously.)Most are fake.Huge buildings when you re downtown. Old retro 1940-50s styled homes in residential areas.Fun!Nonexistent!!VERY!!

LA still hasnt recovered completely from Hurricane Katrina. since Louisiana is in the south on the gulf coast.. it can get pretty muggy and the weather can and does change on an hourly basis but i answered this already.

The most amazing place of earth. Expensive as hell. But beautiful. Fun. Exciting. But has lots of drones living there!

muggy, stuffed, lots, angry, old, exciting , taken, yes

Funny, West of Encino...lol.

How do I get from Grand Central to JFK? -

I need a quick sure way to get to JFK from Grand Central.

The quick way is by helicopter. The only reasonably priced way that does not usually result in getting caught in traffic is by train (subway or LIRR to Jamaica, then the AirTrain). There are also buses, taxis, etc., all of which usually get caught in traffic.

Take any # 7 subway to 61st St Woodside Go downstairs to the bridge level and either use a Ticket Vending Machine -TVM - or [if open ] the Long Island Rail Road ticket office to buy a ticket to Jamaica [1 stop ] and then the AirTrain toJFKhttp://lirr42.mta.info/sfweb/faces/deparWhen you exit the LIRR at Jamaica the AirTrain will be above youEven if cost was no object using public transportation is much faster than taking a cab or a shuttle busIf you wanted to save a couple of bucks on the LIRR you could take the #7 to 74th St Jackson Heights and then go down and find the E train to Sutphin Blvd /Jamaica Stationhttp://mta.info/nyct/service/eline.htmThe hour of the day and amount luggage you have will be the determining factorTrying to board a rush-hour subway car when you re laden with luggage can be a daunting task that may not make you the most popular person on boardThe LIRR option by comparison is much easier

There is a bus that goes from Grand Central to both airports. It takes about an hour though so I d leave a bit early but it s half the cost of a taxi. I think it s on the 45th street side across the street.

By taxi.

the sky train will take you- and its free

Is seista beach a partying beach during spring break? -

is siesta beach in Sarasota Florida a partying beach during the spring break season? I wanna be at a safe and fun place for spring break

Spring break everything with a beach and warm weather has a party BUT since there are not too many big hotels right near the beach - not like some other parts of FL. It s a nice area - I ve been there over spring break not looking for a party and it was fine.

Modeling Agencies---Needing names of Companies in Los Angeles CA? -

Do you know of any reputible modeling agencies for teens? Please share!! In L.A. California

I know... . you re from nebraska and you want to be a model cuz someone told you that your puurrrdy. My response to you is if you wanted to be a model you should already know where these places are. Have your head shots ready cus the honchos love tossin them in the trash unless you are a drop dead gorgeous with humongous boobs or a big a.s.s.

To get an agent, you need to get GREAT headshots, a good resume, and training from the best. These are enough to get you a commercial agent at least. Getting a GOOD theatrical agent (Film/tv) takes longer. Most good theatrical agents wont see you unless youre SAG, have a polished resume, and a demo reel. Commercial agents are more lenient about that. What the best Commercial agents want to see on your resume are good commercial classes, improv, and cold reading. You can get an agent multiple ways. Here are a few common ways:-Mail in an unsealed manilla envelope with a CONCISE coverletter and headshot with the resume stapled on the back. If you have a demoreel include that too.-Attend a showcase and impress them. By showcase I do not mean scammy conventions like IMTA, IPOP, Proscout, or Best New Talent. I mean legit ones like at Actor Connection, Reel pros, Network Studios, etc.-Get a referral from a friend who is with the agency that youre interested inDONT-Email them unless they tell you to. Its unprofessional-Call unless they tell you to. Also unprofessional!-Walk in and ask for a meeting. EXTREMELY unprofessional!-Sign with them if they ask for upfront money, make you take new photos with THEIR photographer, or take THEIR classes. Agents only make money when you do. Agents usually make 10% on film/TV and commercials and 20% on commercial print. There are NO open casting calls in LA. Here are the only legit online sites that you can get work from in LA:-Actorsaccess.com-LACasting.com-NowCasting.com-Backstage.com (they have a weekly newspaper that you can get at stores that lists castings)Free but proceed with Caution:-Craigslist-Mandy.comAVOID:-ExploreTalent.com (Complete Scam)-OneSourceTalent.com-Talenthunter-Instantcast.com-Talentjug.com-Talent6.Com-Talentwatchers.comHere are the only few Hollywood Agencies that are worth it:Top Youth Agencies:CESDOsbrinkCoast to CoastAbramsDaniel HoffAmsel, Eisenstadt, and FrazierSavage

Top modeling agencies in LA are Ford, Elite, Click, Wilhelmina, LA Models, Vision, Red, Q, Nous, Bleu, Next -- all will sign teens over age 14 (or age 15 in some cases)
