what are the positive and negative points of americans vs europeans?i m going to move to this country, hence the question
Although most American s are good, nice people the country itself has become a facist state where they aren t taught about the outside world and they teach their own idealized version of their history. It s hard to say for sure though as it s huge and there are different attitudes and expectations depending on where in the USA you are. The Pacific Northeast tend to be quite liberal, while the Deep South and New England are very conservative. You ll get all types of attitudes in all areas though so it s hard to make anything more than generalizations
I completely disagree with Juan, I have lived all over the US. Born in Virginian raised in Tennessee. then up and down all the states on the east coast, then moved out west to Montana, and now in Oregon, soon to be iin Nevada. The southeast is full of nice people, the nicest being in the small towns, such as Chesterfield, SC and Honaker, VA, place that are just a pinpoint on the map. The big cities are of course full of people who are in a hurry and have lots of worries. Therefore, they are a little more aggresive and their tone of voice is challenging. But you have to remember they are always trying to hang on to what they have, and since the cities in the US are way over priced areas that no one should have to live in. Peope are generally rude in the cities.Montana is by far the best place I lived. Great people, beautiful area and strange weather. And more wildlife than probably any other of the lower 48 states. Where I live now in Oregon it is pretty but rains to much, The people are nice and not closed minded. Which is nice, but Montanans were open minded as well. Negative points is that the US is consuming 85% of the world;s resources. The cities are over priced and for the most part ugly. The small towns do not have much to do though unless you like outdoor activities. Most Americans have gotten lazy, they want the easy money and not want to work for it, This leads to no pride in their work since they did not do anything to get that dollar. This is just a city attitude that is to addictive and many are wanting that. Then you have the super rich and the politicians who monopolize on that attitude and make things worse. Many people here would try anything to make an easy dollar not realizing that if they finally make that dollar they lose trust in everyone trying to hang onto it. Positives. most rural areas are beautiful and there are plenty of these areas left. pretty much everything that is not within a 4 hour drive of an ocean or one of the Great Lakes.
I disagree with Af.I don t think Americans are good at all and I m not speaking in general here.but I agree with Af that American attitudes vary depending on what part of the country you live.the Pacific Northwest is a great place and people seem to enjoy a better quality of life than those down in the Deep South,a region that has always been regarded as the most poverty-stricken in the USA with racism being very active down here.Northeast is another great place with a good quality of life.the Midwest is less advanced than other regions.overall, the West and East coast is where the action is,everywhere else is backward and the same goes for the people who live in those regions.
Americans earns US$, Europeans Euro - think about which currency will devalueAmericans don t have universal health care, yet, and medical insurance here very expensive
In America everyone s uptight, paranoid, and doesn t have the personal freedom and individuality you see in Continental Europe
