It s off I-75 which runs down the western side of the state. I-95 runs down the eastern side. You d be looking at adding about an hour and a half and $15 in tolls to the trip by detouring to Gainesville.
at least an hour. best to skip it.

1. Ventura2. Santa Maria3. Cypress4. Bakersfield5. Coalinga6. SacramentoI agree with the person above me. I would NEVER live in any of those cities PERIOD.
that depends on where the person is from that you ask.for example if your anywhere else than in Louisiana and you mention New Orleans, they will either tell you about the time they spent on Bourbon street/the French Quarter or have some comment about hurricane katrina.now if you were to ask this question in the last few months, you would probably get a few comments about the New Orleans Saints football team, that is going to the Superbowl !! ( GO SAINTS GO!)other answers run from mardi Gras to Jazz to the great food.the first thing I think of is it, being the city and then the touristsbut the most famous thing about it is the Mississippi River or to football fans the Superdome
New Orleans is famous because of its history, architecture, culture, food, etc...New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz.New orleans is the most unique city in the USHome to many celebrations, Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, French quarter Fest, Sugar Bowl, Zurich Classic, etc. read on for history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Orleans
Well, the first thing I think of is, home. I guess NO is famous because the culture is so different from anywhere else in the US.
Mardi Gras, Funnel cake, boiled shrimp, Flaming Hurricanes
Mardi Gras, or Hurricane Katrina.
the saints
The people and our history
I live in New York City, and I rarely leave the city on New s Years, or on the days leading up to New Year s. If you re going to be here on New Year s Day, you HAVE to go to the ball drop. It would be a crazy idea to come to New York City on New Year s and NOT go. The ball drop is at the One Times Square building in Times Square, on 42nd and Broadway. I strongly suggest going there on New Year s Day, as it is a fantastic event. It s almost like a rite of passage for everybody in New York: seeing the ball drop on New Year s.Information on the ball:http://www.timessquarenyc.org/nye/nye_baSince you might be coming before New Year s, I ll give you some other things that you might want to do around the city. A visit to New York City during Christmas time would not be a trip to New York City during Christmas time without a trip to Rockefeller center to visit the big tree. You ve missed the lighting this year, but between then and January seventh, the tree will be up, so I strongly suggest going out there to check out the tree. Rockefeller is between 47th and 50th Streets and 5th and 7th Avenues. I would also suggest seeing the Nutcracker , which is a Christmas-themed ballet. It s a magical performance, and it s a fun family ballet, and I would suggest that as well. Also check out SoHo and Canal Street for some fantastic shopping. There are some great miscellaneous items you can find around there, and there is almost everything that you could want and need for the holidays. the Nutcracker ballet information:http://www.nutcrackerballet.net/ Top 10 Things To Do in NYC For The Christmas Holiday http://travelingmamas.com/2008/12/02/top Things to do in New York City at Christmastime http://www.onboardnewyorktours.com/chris How to Enjoy Christmas in New York http://www.associatedcontent.com/articleAll the best ?
