There is a ton of stuff to do in Phoenix and the surrounding area, and if you are here long enough, get on I-17 and go north and visit Montezuma s Castle, the ghost town of Jerome, the lovely cities of Prescott and Sedona. You could spend hours going to all the fun little places in Arizona...one of my favorites is Crown King, but you have to have a durable vehicle and expect the trip to take all day because the average speed limit is about 15-20 mph on one lane, gravel roads that narrow in places that you feel like you re going to scrape your car s side on the boulders on the side of the road. depends on where you are coming from. If you are coming from San Diego or New York, the Phoenix zoo should be out. Pretty much Phoenix is not a vacation city. Most people I know take day trips to see the desert. If I were you I would try to go to Sedona and climb on the red rocks. Then I would also look into taking a scenic drive on the apache trail.Pretty much nothing really to do in Phoenix, although we do have a lot of sporting events (cardinals stadium, bank one, jobing arena, PIR, and ASU. The science museum is for kids, I made the mistake of going there one day because I thought it would be like the Boston or New York museum and they had a bunch of plastic toys, it was strange that a 26 year old male was walking around a kids museum so I left quickly.

You can talk to the VIA transportation people. They have a route from San Antonio to Austin I believe every weekday.. maybe they can make a short detour or make a route for your friends (depends on if they have enough people going).If all else fails...Greyhound it!

This site shows about 15, however most are houses. The rents seem very reasonable though. $750 for a new 3br house with a garage is a great deal.Check it out and hopefully this helps. Good luck.
Florence is pretty small, not many apartments. Stay away from Coolidge though, its not that close and not a nice place. There are a ton of new homes in the area though that were built and owned by investors- just west of Florence, available for rent cheaper than an apartment would be. Merrill Ranch is part of Florence, nice, and should have some homes to rent.
