What is half way mark to Columbia Md from Morrstown Tn. what exit do I get off where there are resturants? -

It looks like this trip will take you on I-81 north until exit 300, and then east on I-66 to I-495 N(the Washington, DC beltway), then I-95 north to Columbia. The whole trip should take you about 7.5 hours, unless the end of your trip coincides with rush hour in Washington DC; if you reach the beltway at that hour, and then it could take you considerably longer because the DC beltway can have horrific traffic. The halfway mark would probably be somewhere on I-81, since you are on that road for quite a stretch. Lexington, VA is about 4 hours into your drive, just off I-81 on the exit marked E Midland Trail/US-60W . If you take US-60W far enough, you will reach the edge of the campus of Washington and Lee University and you will find various restaurants there.

How bad is the traffic on i-25 right now on the 25 nov 2009 from colorado springs to denver? -

not too bad yet...will get worse as we get closer to 4pm though.

I know this is too late now, but bookmark http://www.cotrip.org/ for the most current road conditions. Especially useful in a snowstorm. Tells you which roads are closed, which are in bad condition, and which are clear and dry.

Is it possible to visit Niagara falla in Winter ? -

Propose to visit USA in January. Which is the nearest city for Niagara Falls?

Most of the hotels and the best views are on the Canadian side. There is both a city of Niagra Falls on the US and Canadian side. Unless something has changed recently you cannot do the boat ride or climb down near the Falls in the winter.Buffalo is the largest bigger city on the States side and Toronto (40 min dirve) on the Canadian side.

There is a city called Niagara Falls in New York, so that s actually the closest city to the falls itself on the U.S. side. It s small, though, about 55,000 people. The closest major city is Buffalo NY; the city of Niagara Falls is a Buffalo suburb. There s also a separate Niagara Falls on the Canadian side of the border; the Niagara River splits around an island (Goat Island) at that point. But since you say you re visiting the USA, it may not be possible for you to cross into Canada depending on where you re from. And yes, you can visit in the winter. But dress warm!

Man that is going to be one cold proposalAs others have mentioned there is the town of Niagara Falls NY which although seedy in general has a safe well developed tourist area that is within a half a mile of the Falls If you don t feel like doing the drive ,Amtrak will get you there from PennThen there is the much nicer town of Niagara Falls Ontario .Once not long ago an American citizen didn t need a passport to visit Canada ,But today we do ...something to considerGood luck with the proposal

My friend told me that Newark is a bad, scary area.Is Newark that bad? -

I am going to Newark in NJ for christmas to stay in Holiday Inn near Newark airport. Is it that bad? and what kind of transportation should i use if i want to go to nyc everyday? would it be ok if i want to get back to the hotel really late?

Well, the heart of Newark is, sadly, mostly a crime-ridden sh*thole, but the part you ll be in is just fine, so don t worry about it.However, why in the world are you staying at a Holiday Inn at Newark Airport when you really want to be in New York City? I mean, the very few bucks you ll save on your hotel room will very quickly be eaten up by the cost of transportation to and from NYC every day, and the commute from Newark Airport to NYC is a long, boring, difficult nightmare, so you ll actually wind up spending more time commuting than you will in New York City! Trust me, it ain t worth it!!So, instead of spending your Christmas at a Holiday Inn out in the middle of nowhere at Newark Airport like some kind of refugee, why not stay at one of the hotels offered by the NY Inns Hotel Group right in Manhattan (see link, below). They have three very nice hotels, in the Murray Hill (near Times Square), Union Square (near the East and West Village) and Upper West Side (near Lincoln Center and Central Park) neighborhoods, and the rooms are nice, the service is good, and they re affordable, too! Check out the link below to see their webpage, and, no, I don t work for them or anything like that, I m just a fan.Good luck, and welcome to the Big Apple!!

The airport is okay, its the certain section of the city that is crime ridden. Don t worry about, you ll be fine.In regards to transportation, the hotel should provide you with a shuttle service to Newark Airport, where you can catch the Newark Airtrain monorail to the train station. The shuttle bus will leave at Airtrain station P4. Once at the Newark Airport train station, you can take NJ Transit from there to NY Penn Station. The one way fare from Newark Airport to the city, which includes a connection fee to the Newark Airtrain, will cost you $15 one way ($30 round trip). If you re traveling back to your hotel late, please keep in mind that both the Newark Airtrain and the shuttle bus runs round the clock. However, the last outbound NJ Transit train departs Penn Station at about 1:30am.Good luck

The Hotel is fine! I used to hang out for hours around the area nothing happened. Overrated

I am majoring in Interior Design. What about colleges in New York State possibly Cornell University? -

I currently live in Chicago and am very intrested in traveling out of state to major in Interior Design. I want a state that is upbeat and fast moving for my major. I was wondering if I could get good opinions on which colleges are great for Interior Design. I was really looking into New York State. So if I could get some opinions on where to go, that would be great! And is Cornell University good in the Arts?

look into the SUNY system (state university of new york)--those colleges are spread out all over new york state..fyi, parts of new york state would not be considered upbeat and fast moving ..cornell for example is in ithaca, new york which is a cool college town but other than that it is kind of rural...cornell is a great ivy league school but it also has a great ivy league price tag

Rhode Island School of DesignParsons School of DesignI have not heard about Cornell having Interior Design but they have Architecture and Planning.

if you want to focus on the arts i wouldnt go to cornell, there are some great schools with design programs in the city like the new school
