They re both pretty expensive but if I had a choice, San Diego is where I would go.
Well San Jose is in the Silicon Valley and is generally a very nice area. It s not too far from San Francisco and you can get easy access to the city via the train service. But between the two cities themselves, and if you re not including the SF area attractions with San Jose, then San Diego definitely has more to do ... the beach, the zoo, lot s of great restaurants, a nice harbor, etc. It s also not too far from Mexico, the Baja peninsula is very nice for weekend trips.
I guess it depends...San Jose is tract housing and strip malls. Silicon Valley. It s nice enough, but it s completely devoid of personality and entertainment.San Diego is a great laid back town, the beaches are amazing. It feels like you re on vacation whenever you re there. So San Diego itself is far more interesting than San Jose itself... but San Francisco (1 hour north of San Jose) is probably the most interesting city in the country.
Hey San Diego of course .. look at below details of San Diego and you decide:http://www.feelandreview.com/places_domestic/sandiego.html
