What is the best way to get into nyc? take a train from metropark or drive to weehawken and take the ferry? -

My boyfriend and I are taking a trip to New York City in a couple of weeks and we are trying to figure out the most hassle-free way to get there. We are coming from Virginia and are trying to figure out whether to park at the Metropark and take a train to Penn Station or if we should drive to Weehawken and take a ferry. Our hotel is in Times Square, and I know that the ferry docks near there but I just don t know about the traffic in Weehawken. Any suggestions?

I assume you ve decided not to use Amtrak from Washington Union Station, leaving your car in their garage? That would be the simplest.I ve used Metropark several times and can recommend it. It s an easy exit from the Garden State Parkway. The garage charges about $10 per day and it s safe to leave your car there overnight--many people do.I ve also used the ferry, leaving my car at Port Imperial/Weehawken and taking the New York Waterways ferry for a day trip into Manhattan. There was a large parking lot, but I m not sure about leaving your car there overnight. There is a bit of driving from the highway to get there, I recall.

The link below can help u. Good luck!

i would drive i mean really

You can park at the Metropark Station, which is located on NJ Transit s Northeast Corridor Line. You can take NJ Transit commuter trains from there to Penn Station. The trip take about 40 minutes and the one way fare will cost you $8 a person ($16 round trip per person).Parking at the Metropark station, which is located in the Township of Iselin, will cost you about $9 for a 24 hour period.Times Square about 8 block north of Penn Station. You can either walk to Times Square or take the subway. If you re taking the subway, the quickest route is by taking the 7th Avenue line (Red Line on the subway map) Penn Station to Times Square. The one way fare on the subway is $2.25 a person ($4.50 for 2). However, if you in town for a week or two you can purchase a weekly or 14-day unlimited ride MetroCard and ride the subway system for the entire week, or 14-day, for one price. The 7-day unlimited ride pass will cost you $27 a person, while the 14-day pass will cost you $51.50 a person.I hope this information is very helpful.Good luck and happy holidaysNative New Yorker

Tips for my first flight and my first trip to New York City? -

We are traveling to NYC for experience a Christmas in New York . This will be my first time to ride in a airplane and I ve never been up north before. We have New York Passes so we have an idea of what we are doing. I was just wondering about places to eat that aren t too pricey but are still amazing and other tips.Do you have any tips for me in the airport, on the flight, and in NYC?

In regards to your flight, give yourself plenty of time to go through security at the airport, I would recommend arriving to the airport at least 2 hour before your departure. In regards to place to eat in New York City. There are thousands of restaurants in the Five Boroughs of New York City. Depending on your taste, your budget and your preferred location, may I recommend the link below.http://www.menupages.com/ -- MenuPages.com is the one of the best website on the online. It included menus with prices, as well as restaurant reviews.I hope this information is very helpful.Good luck and Bon appetit!

before leaving to the airport make sure you have your tickets and your passport. be at least 2 hours early at the airport. eat before boarding, sometime planes only offer a cup of juice and chips, no food, if you want food you have to buy it and is expensive. as for ny i ve never been there so i can t tip you on that. but merry xmas and have fun,

Where can a sixteen year old stay? a hotel, cabin somewhere etc? -

im 16, and me and my friend want to go somewhere in the summer holidays, just take a bus somewhere. i live an hour out of adelaide, and we have nowhere to stay? i was thinking catch a bus to melbourne or something, but where can we stay? can we bring tents and put them up in a park somewhere or what?

You may have better luck getting an answer if you post your question in the Australia category.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I am 24 yrs old with a fiancee looking to move to Colorado. Which is the best city for us.? -

We enjoy being active and we also like the city. Our major concerns is 1. jobs, 2. not living in the ghetto. and 3. beautiful sites. Please give me your incites in where you would move and why and may the best answer win.

You will LOVE Colorado. Denver is huge with tons of traffic and can take a long time to commute to work. Colorado Springs is more manageable and the most beautiful city you ll ever see.... also, closer to the mountains, lots of outdoor activities available. You may also like a smaller city, like Grand Junction. Avoid resort and ski towns like Breckenridge and Vail...those kind of towns are extremely expensive to live in and have very limited jobs.

well colorado really only has one city, denver..fort collins is more of a large college town and you should avoid colorado springs--it s all miltary and families...denver is full of jobs if you have marketable skills (people seem to forget that part nowadays) and has plenty opportunites for being active and for city life
