***************Is it ok to go to the Bronx Zoo in the WINTER??!!!*************? -

hello,I want to go to the Bronx Zoo in a week or so. Is it ok to go during the winter? I kind of figured it would be less crowded and it would be better than the summer because of the millions of people running around. Though, am i missing out on a lot if i go in the winter??? Thanks

The Zoo will be open, but some animals hibernate in the Winter, so you might not get to see all of them. You will have to dress a bit warmer than usual even if you plan to walk about, since the longer you are out, the colder it gets. Layering helps. Warm gloves, wool socks and warm hat and a scarf are a must. There are exhibits that are indoors too, so there will still be a lot to see.

Sure! They are open 365 so it is not a problem. Go and enjoy their winter programs. Too bad though you won t see the Holiday Lights (2008 was the last one) but it is being substituted by Winter Wonderland. http://411newyork.org/guide/2007/05/18/tHave fun,Stevehttp://411newyork.org

Of course you can go to the Bronx Zoo in the winter. The zoo is open everyday of the year.Good luck and enjoy

you can go whenever you want, but you might not see that many animals because it s cold out.

yeah. Its okay. It s open. Zoos don t shut down for two thirds of the year.

You can, but most of the good exhibits are outdoors and it is very cold.

Where is the best snow tubing in oregon? Ive tubed Mt. Bachelor, is Bachelor the best of the best? -

Mt. Hood is the best.

Mount Bachelor can be either very very good, or very very bad depending on if it is warm and rainy or not. When it rains, it s icy and the surface can be slick or sticky. Sometimes both.An extensive snow tubing area is part of Ski Bowl on Mount Hood. http://www.skibowl.com/tubing2.htm It is the snow resort closest to Portland, inexpensive, has decent vertical, and it is open the most hours even most nights until 11 pm. There are days when it is better than Bachelor, and other days when it is worse.

Bachelor is for out of state geekshttp://www.cooperspur.com/skiing_tubing.

I have neverr been there,But heard it is the best.
