How was Boston punished after the Boston Tea Party ? -

Well, it wasn t, really.. April 19,1775 King George got a bit PO ed and sent a bunch of troops to Lexington and Concord to pick a fight and the local citizenry sent them back to Boston real quick and not too happy.

well i think you should go to new york because there are beaches in there too. your parents are right, there is more stuff to do in new york. i love the city life and i think its better than california (plus, it gets super hot in california )! i know this because i was born there and lived there for 6 years. pick new york.(new york has lots of shopping places).

Is Atlanta overrated? -

It depends on what you re talking about.Tis Good:Nature - you ve got trees for miles (where they haven t overdeveloped) and you can t beat the view of the city from Stone Mountain or Kennesaw MountainEntertainment - though the big venues tend to be overpriced, you ve got a variety of entertainment to pick fromTis Fair:Job Market - depends on who you talk to - half my peeps are employed; half are not. I haven t been out of work for the past 5 years, and last year, I made more money than I ve ever made in my life (with a start up internet company at that) and even sold some of my paintings for the first time. And the me from 5 years before that was struggling financially. The Weather - I ll take winters here than in the Northeast, but for the summers? ugh! waaay too hot, and I ve been here for 30 years.Tis Bad:Clubbing/social scene = loads o pretenders flashing clothes, jewelry and cars they can t affordPolitical environment = no progressive dialogue between the partiesSocioeconomic = plenty of segregation and elitism abounds, between blacks and whites and within each group (I m not as familiar with Asian, Latino, and other communities)Tis Really Bad:I wish I could go ONE day without seeing a confederate flag or bumper sticker on somebody s truck

Depends on what you are rating it on.Atlanta has all the issues any large city has. High crime, corrupt politicians and teerrible traffic. It also has all of the advantages any large city has including job opportunity, nice housing, entertainment, sports and cultural events. Living in the city of Atlanta sux. Living near Atlanta is great.

Excuuuuse me, I m from New York. As far as we re concerned, everything else is overrated. :-)I can tell you that in New York Atlanta is losing friends. People used to have many good words to say about Atlanta. But that standing stopped a few years ago. Nowadays Atlanta is not high on many New Yorkers lists.Sorry, that s the way it is.

I like the answer from the person from NYC. Too funny. but yeah, Atlanta is way overrated. I have lived here for 31 years and STILL cannot figure out why people come here on vacations. Summers are brutally hot, concerts are way overpriced, hotels are just ridiculous, as well as parking prices downtown and around the outskirts. Its no better or worse than any other big city - which is why I live in E. Cobb, Marietta. nice and quiet out here. :)

well i think nyc overrated people paying $10,000 + for a 1 bedroom apartment while down here thats a mansion!

It s not as overrated as Los Angeles.

See Is New York overrated?

I need to find a way to get to lancaster, pennsylvania!? -

i am meeting my girlfriend there, and i have no way of getting there. Im in the Reading area, and the bus doesnt cross the Berks County border. Taxis are reaaallly expensive. The train station is an hour away from me. How can I get to lancaster? It s about 30 minutes away. Does anyone know an affordable way to get there? Please help =[[ i need to see her

How about Greyhound? Here s a link:http://www.greyhound.com/home/

If you are hardy enough, you can see if Craigslist has a Rideshare. If you can get to the Amtrak station in Parkesburg, PA, it s only a 20 minute $7.50 ride from there. Parkesburg is a straight shot about 45 minutes down Rt. 10 from Reading, or 20 minutes driving from Morgantown (which has a BARTA bus from Reading).

It will probably be easier just to rent a car and drive there.Otherwise, you ll have to take Capital Trailways from Reading to King of Prussia and then change to a bus headed west to Lancaster. If you call them at the Reading bus station at 610-374-3182, they can give you the schedules and fares.

use the allentown airport

you should definitely drive, it would be much cheaper than flying.

Does anyone know of any good baking supply shops in Denver? -

I ve been to Michael s, they have a good selection, but not great (no chocolate shavings, cheap tools, bad selection of tools in general). I ve searched online but all I can find is restaurant supply places, not little stores. I want to use buying online as a LAST resort because in person I can check quality, size, and browse around more than online. Obviously I know good brands (Alteco, NOT wilton lol), but I just like looking around :)Any help?

I know it doesn t help, but the only place I know was on S Colorado Blvd and closed years ago. You might try Bake Mark. I think they are wholesale but might also sell retail. http://www.bakemark.comYou might also call some of the gourmet specialty stores and post this question on Chowhound.

Did you try looking for craft stores? Cause, you know...Michael s is a craft store, but, as you have noticed, very corporate, and they have the brands that their company buys for them....but a smaller such shop might have access to other things, things they could order specially for you, stuff like that. I guess Walmart wouldn t make you any happier...pretty much the same stuff as Michael s, but less of it...our little tiny Walmart has a few things, but a super store might have a better selection.
