Places to take my girlfriend in Washington DC for Christmas Time? -

I am looking for somethings to do with my girlfriend. I already know of Ford s theater and Kennedy Center. We plan to go see the National Christmas tree. I was wondering if there were some other ideas people have. Or maybe some neighborhoods in the DC area that go all out on Christmas lights. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

well the Washington monumentthat wud be spectacular u can ride to the top and look out over the whole city!its fantasticand the lincoln memoriali went in june so idk if these places wud b open during christmas timeu cud go to the Smithsonian s and the museum of crime and punishment there are TONS of places to go there OH and mt vernonthat s where id want to goif u don t know wat mt vernon is: it was George Washington s estate b4 and after the revolution (u know when he retired)D.C. is and incredible citylimitless possibilities on wat to do and things to seeand its Absolutely GORGEOUSUS there

All of the touristy things. I also like to go to the Brookland area and see the small town atmosphere.Just around the Metro Station, and it is in the Washington, DC but still feels like small town. This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America. Please pick an answer as the best answer, even if it is not mine.

The Gaylord creates an life-size ice palace display that sounds pretty cool and there is a park, i think in herndon that sets up a walk through christmas lights display.

Worth going to Walt Disn3y World during Christmas break? -

well is it? and let m3 know and why. (: sorry that l3tt3r im suppos3d to put inst3ad of 3 is not working... );

You Its the one of the most smartest thing you can do, especially if you have kids! #1. You are going to save plenty of money, because you can use the trip as a present instead of buying multiple presents.#2 you are going to save money on all of your utilities at home, no x-mas lights, the heat is off!#3 If you live in the North no Snow!#4Winter is the best time of the year to be in Orlando, Daytime temp normally around 60-70#5 No crowds, most Europeans

OMG, Yes. My wife and I went last year and it was great. Here are some great things they have at Disney for Christmas. Hope you have fun and enjoy these links.

From the week before Christmas until the week following New Year s Day, Disney is at one of its most crowded times. And I m talking insanely crowded. You would be well advised to wait until mid-January to go!

Hmm, I m not sure. Consider its over Christmas Break it might be Packed, but then again people might be at home getting ready for the holidays.

do not go during Christmas week the crowds are horrible. the best time is the week after thanksgiving

How to get sponsored jobs with VISA in US/UK or Canada.? -

I am currently looking for a job in US /UK or Canada for a permanent role. Would like to get my VISA sponsored thru some company , So how do i get all these details.

Not too certain about the U.K. and Canada, but the United States is in a recession, and millions of Americans are out of work, and looking for a job. About the only way you could qualify for a work visa is to have skills in Advanced Medicine or Engineering. Regular trades people simply don t qualify while so many Americans are out of work. Sorry.

Generally this is done in two ways.1. You go there on a tourist or business visa. Find a company willing to hire you and sponsor you then move (most companies wouldn t want to do this).2. You go through a recruitment agency that specialising in finding people like yourself work. There is a 3rd way, you are excellent at your work and the company hires you directly. So look on job websites as these agents publish world wide, or search online. Many are going to try and rip you off, so be careful, if the offer sounds too good to be true, then it is.

the company that you re going to work for has to sponser you.

Moving to Alaska this month.. Questions about temporary transportation? -

My husband and I are moving at the end of the month to Anchorage Alaska. We are pcsing to Elmendorf AFB. We will be flying and having our vehicle shipped. My understanding is that it takes 7 days to 30 days to recieve your vehicle. Well in the mean time, how would we go about transportation. Would a rental be the best, or is there any other solutions. A rental will just be soooo pricy.(if it takes 30 days) Any sugestions, other than buying a car, or are those really my two options. Thanks

since youre going to Elmendorf, Anchorage has a pretty decent public transportation system, but that wont take you too far out of the city so it depends what you need.

I want to go on a winter vacation in Florida? -

I want to go on a vacation on a pretty place (beach), in Florida, where it is warm during this time of the year and I can swim in the ocean and have fun. Any places that you can recommend?

The further south you go in Florida, the warmer.During the winter, the warm weather (low 80 s) and swimming in warmer water (mid 70 s) will be limited to the southeast coast of Florida, near the ocean current of the warm Gulf Stream. All beaches between Miami Beach and West Palm Beach are fine. The livelier beaches are in lower Miami Beach and the beach at Fort Lauderdale. Most other beaches are less busy and some, like beautiful Delray Beach, are relatively quiet. However, if you re traveling from some forbidden place like Minnesota or Finland, you can consider most any beach on either coast of South Florida right up your alley. You can also include the slightly cooler weather (80-ish) and cooler waters (low 70 s) at the beaches on the southwest coast of the state, like Marco Island, Naples, and Bonita Springs. The waters have a calmer, more tropical look to them. And you can just sit in your beach chair, wiggling your toes in the sand, and watch the sun set over the water.

If you want all of the hoopla and traffic that goes with it, Miami is it hands down. If you are looking for this advise here, you won t be getting in clubs with velvet ropes in SoBe, so save the money and think else where. If you want white sand and less people, Clearwater on the Gulf is very nice with a range of accomodations. If you are driving from the north and want to save some vacation time, try Panama City or that stretch. Possibly the prettiest Florida beach is Destin with it s dunes. Good luck.

The Gulf Coast part of Florida is beautiful the South West part you can go to Fort Myers Beach,Sanibel island,Captiva island,Marco Island take your pick out of these great beaches.

south beach but stay away from ocean drive, i suggest a nice resort like the W hotel, water is warm here now. Miami beach is still the best beach in the nation! ocean like a swimming pool and warm!

You want Miami Beach. Miles and miles of beach, miles and miles of hotels.

Anywhere from Palm Beach County south on the east coast from Clearwater south on the west coast.

for sure pensacola beach is the nicest beach there..
