I can relate. I went down there a few years ago for the Auto Show. I found this place to park near Cobo, for $10.00, and wound up getting a $40.00 parking ticket.

Geez - I hope you re not that frantic when you re driving!No one knows for sure what the weather will be like in any given location on any particular day. You can find info about forecasts and average weather conditions at the Weather Channel s website. Or you could go to the local TV stations websites or newspaper websites to see a weather forecast for either Portland or Bellevue. On the Yahoo homepage there s a button for Weather , which will link you to a site where you can choose any city and track the weather each day.Have a safe trip!

But the current forecast is for it to be more or less like it is now: windy and rainy at times, cool in the 40s and 50s, and overcast. Forecast for Portland is for rain most of the week, and that usually holds true for that entire stretch to the Seattle area.A 20-mile section of I-5 near Woodland gets very rainy for some reason when it s in the area.I ve driven it many times in rough weather, and it s no big deal--pretty good drainage on the highway except for the rare occasions when rivers overflow, but that s not happening this week. Just go with the flow of traffic and stay to the right if you want to go slower.

Help with baseball (spring training) in PHX, ARIZONA please.? -

Okay, some questions background info. I ll be driving in from Las Vegas thusly will have a car. Will be picking up a friend from the airport (there in phx). Most likely stay 3 nights (maybe just 2) depending on $ situation.I ve been to PHX a few times, but this was a decade ago. Budget isnt huge. Where to stay? Is downtown dificult to navigate, park, etc. The biggest cost of them all will be lodging. I m used to places like days inn, holiday inn express, fairfield, clarion. Needs to be safe, clean. Doesnt need to be fancy. Suggestions?Also, what about booking lodging and tickets? Do it now? Cant remember when tickets become available (buying direct)? But, some ticket joints like stubhub already have offerings available i guess. Is it true that games sell out often?I want to see Seattle for sure (for suzuki). I ve actually been to the stadium in Peoria. Is that still where SEA plays?Restaurant suggestions? We both like mexican food. Bellaire is about 10 minutes from Houston. Bay City is about an hour and 20 minutes from Houston.

What is the best mountain to snowboard at in colorado? -

im going to colorado at the end of march, and i want to know which mountain i should go to.

It depends on what you like to do when snowboarding (terrain park, cruising on groomers, extreme terrain, etc.) Breckenridge is fun and less expensive than Vail or Aspen. Steamboat is also great, lots of different terrain and fun at night. Crested Butte and Telluride have sick terrain, but if you re not truly and expert then you could be happy at any of the the other mountains. Winter Park is fun but I think the terrain there can be a little boring. So I guess I m recommending Steamboat or Breck! The good thing about Breckenridge is you are in Summit County and therefore close to other mountains like Keystone, Copper, Loveland (which is never very crowded), and Vail in case you want to mix it up.

Really any of them, its Colorado, but a buddy of mine goes out to Breckenridge and has a blast. Theres been a few ski/snowboard videos shot there, so he must be on to something.

Where do most tour buses pick people up from in Los Angeles? Where should i stay? -

We are coming from Australia, and want to stay somewhere safe, that is easyf or us to get to disney land, dodgers stadium, universal studio, warner brothers all the tourist stuff, where is easy to get to and from, if we stay on newport or laguna beach would tour buses even com down that way to take us places or do e need to get to hollywood? i read it isn t safe to stay in hollywood?

Since LA is so spread out, there is no single place that is close to EVERYTHING. Most people who come here tend to stay in Hollywood, Santa Monica, or Anaheim. In Hollywood, I recommend the Orchid Suites, Hollywood Celebrity Hotel, or Holiday Inn Walk of Fame, all near Hollywood and Highland. Another one is the Best Western Sunset Plaza. In Santa Monica, the Holiday Inn Santa Monica is close to the pier and reasonably priced. In Anaheim, I recommend the Howard Johnson (HoJo) Anaheim, and the Candy Cane Inn. There is also a nice place in Burbank called the Best Western Media Center, very close to Warner, NBC, and Universal Studios.The tour busses will NOT go to Newport or Laguna. You d have to rent a car and drive on the right side of the road to drive the 50 miles (80 km) to Hollywood. Hollywood isn t as glitzy as people think. Nor is it as horrible as some people think. You ll meet your share of characters to be sure, but it s not bad in the area around Hollywood Highland. And that s where the tourist busses are based. From there, you can take the Red Line Subway to Universal or downtown LA.Have fun!

Many tour buses pick up from the hotels near the L.A. Airport. I once stayed near the airport and had Grayline Tours pick me up. The Sheraton near L.A. Airport is the place I stayed. They have all the amenities you could want plus the tour pick up. I had no problems whatsoever on my trip to Los Angeles.

I own a parrot in my native country Panama. Recently I moved to the US and I miss him so much. What;s the procedure to bring it to the US?

I believe its expensive, probably several hundred dollars, and that is assuming its not a protected species. Also, it will have to spend a few weeks at least in quarantine.
