Im relocating to Tucson, Arizona the end of December? -

I m looking for an apartment, in a pleasant area, about 30 minutes away from the VA medical center.Does anyone have any suggestions on communities or where I should look? Thanks

The Santa Cruz apartments are about 10 minutes from the VA medical center.

I want to go somewhere new and exciting.. Any suggestions? -

I am 22 years old, and I currently live in Charleston, West Virginia working as a paralegal. Right now I don t have a lot to tie me down. I am thinking of selling my home and using the profit to pay off my mortgage and car. With nothing keeping me in the Mountain State, I am ready to completely submerse myself in a new culture. I am not much for white water rafting or hiking, which pretty much all WV has to offer. I have not gotten the opportunity to travel, and I am itching for something new and exciting. Can anyone make any suggestions??

I was born and raised in NC, and after college I moved to the west. I lived in Portland, OR, the SF Bay Area, Boulder, CO, and I now live in the Seattle area (though I actually live in the mountains nearby, because I DO like to go whitewater rafting and hiking all the time). All of these places are great places to live and have a lot to offer. Another great place to consider, even if just for a visit, is Australia. It s a beautiful country and the people are very friendly.Have a great time whatever you do!

New York City.(Or for something really different: Montreal!)You may also like Charlestown, SC, or the barrier islands of NC.I m envious!

Why is there more graffiti in cities compared to suburbs? -

I was wondering why there is more vandalism in main cities compared to suburbs. Detail would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much.

A long time ago when I was a child and I was ignorant, I observed that in the Hispanic hoods (I am Hispanic)and African American hoods there is a lot of graffitti compared to white neighborhoods in the cities there are less and in the suburbs there are almost nothing. Dislike and sterotype of nonwhite races was common in those days because they were considered uncivilized and slobs. But all men whether they are black, hispanic, asian, white are all human beings and what man is without flaw?

Street gangs are in the inner cities. They have symbols and codes.

Is california really a dirty state? -

i want to move to california or at least go on vaca there but everyone says its really disgusting and dirty down there. is this true. and what parts of california are nice places to visit

Northern California is beautiful... I will give it that... but it s kind of boring and cold... and yes I will admit L.A. can seem a bit dirty because it is a HUGE county... so it has some nice parts and its ghetto parts but L.A. is tons of fun with lots to do! Just visit and see if you like it... San Diego is nice too but a little more dull than L.A.

Northern CA is the best. Like Tahoe and Truckee its really beautiful, and not dirty. It is cold though! but if you go in the winter, you can ski and board, which is absolutely amazing ! when people think of CA, they usually think of LA, but there is much more to it! Nor Cal is definitely the way to go!

Is there an American city that is still a big city like nyc and chicago but isnt dirty? -

I went to visit Chicago just this summer and I was actually surprised to see that it was VERY clean, and no, I m not even just saying that for the sake of opposing your generalizing question, that s the honest truth ... I was very impressed at how clean Chicago was both in the loop and on the freeways around the city. I frequently saw city employee s out cleaning the streets and was impressed by that. New York City does have a lot of litter (though not as much as they used to) but you should consider that a lot of that litter comes from tourists who have no respect for the city they are visiting and also simply because of the fact that there are so many millions of people in such a densely crowded area. I do think they could invest in better garbage bins in New York City, larger more visible one s, but I suppose it s expensive to replace them all. They ll probably eventually do it.The dirtiest US cities are Los Angeles, Philadelphia and most of the rust belt cities like Detroit and Cleveland. I was also disappointed to see how much litter there was in Boston. City street sweepers make a huge difference and are worth the the cost as seen in Chicago.

nyc is NOT dirty--it s no more dirty than any other city in the US but nyc has 8 million people--so i would say they keep it pretty clean considering how many people are there...what s your definition of dirty anyway?? one last thing, miami and san fran are NOTHING like nyc--in fact no city in the US is like NYC and that s what makes it so amazing---you ll just be disappointed if you try to replicate the energy that is manhattanyou might want to try seattle

Personally I like Chicago better than New York City, people are friendly and you get that feeling of a huge city that is not as big, but if you want another city besides Chicago n NYC...i think we all agree, SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!! I love it here, I m from Sacramento, which is only a 1 hour drive from SF. And i can tell you I never get tired of going to San Francisco and take pictures n act like a tourist even though i know the whole SF bay area like the back of my hand...so definetly SF is the answer you re looking for

Chicago actually has the reputation of being one of the cleanest cities not only in the United States but in the world. Like any other city it has it s less than beautiful neighborhoods, but downtown is one of the cleanest, most well cared for city centers in the world.

Toronto is the cleanest big city I have ever seen. Alright, medium city. Seattle and san Francisco are good. Portland (either one) is clean. And Chicago...I don t know. When I visited there recently I was having way too much fun to notice.

No other city is like NYC. It stands alone. Chicago is closest. LA is not like either. As mentioned, a cleaner city is San Francisco but I would add Denver, Seattle, and Milwaukee but they re not close to the size and scope of NYC nor Chgo.

Chicago is not dirty. There is a city which is really clean, cleaner than Chicago but it is in Canada. It is Toronto.

Chicago isn t dirty. It s actually one of the cleanest major cities in the US.

Chicago s not dirty! I know a lot of people say NYC is too...but I didn t seem to notice it when I was there...Either way..Chicago s not dirty...

NY is just a giant slum. Chicago is clean, fun, friendly and safe.

Try Miami or San Francisco.

miami

yes Chicago is big and is very clean

Where is the cheapest place to live in South Kansas City MO? -

Try Belton, there is a lot of good places for a reasonable price.

If your motivation to stay in Kansas City proper is because you are working in KCMO and are required to live there for your job or feel you need to live there because you are paying the city earnings taxes, stay WEST of Holmes and SOUTH of 95th Street in Kansas City with zip code of 64131 or around there. It is still an acceptable (reasonably safe) area and priced more reasonably.Try Willow Creek Apartments (big complex with pool) which is at 99th and Wornall or south of there down near Devry. Remember that with cheap rent, you get riffraff, more noise, more crime, etc.If you would consider Johnson County, the two complexes with pools south of 103rd and Conser in Overland Park are very reasonable (alot less than the brand new places) and spacious (900 sq ft in a 1 BR). I don t know the new names for them, but if you don t live here and need to know the names, I will drive by on my way to the office.

BELTON, RAYMORE, PECULIAR or HARRISONVILLE, are all nice areas.Grandview/Ruskin Heights is not the safest area

You don t want to live in South Kansas City, MO.
