Is there an American city that is still a big city like nyc and chicago but isnt dirty? -

I went to visit Chicago just this summer and I was actually surprised to see that it was VERY clean, and no, I m not even just saying that for the sake of opposing your generalizing question, that s the honest truth ... I was very impressed at how clean Chicago was both in the loop and on the freeways around the city. I frequently saw city employee s out cleaning the streets and was impressed by that. New York City does have a lot of litter (though not as much as they used to) but you should consider that a lot of that litter comes from tourists who have no respect for the city they are visiting and also simply because of the fact that there are so many millions of people in such a densely crowded area. I do think they could invest in better garbage bins in New York City, larger more visible one s, but I suppose it s expensive to replace them all. They ll probably eventually do it.The dirtiest US cities are Los Angeles, Philadelphia and most of the rust belt cities like Detroit and Cleveland. I was also disappointed to see how much litter there was in Boston. City street sweepers make a huge difference and are worth the the cost as seen in Chicago.

nyc is NOT dirty--it s no more dirty than any other city in the US but nyc has 8 million people--so i would say they keep it pretty clean considering how many people are there...what s your definition of dirty anyway?? one last thing, miami and san fran are NOTHING like nyc--in fact no city in the US is like NYC and that s what makes it so amazing---you ll just be disappointed if you try to replicate the energy that is manhattanyou might want to try seattle

Personally I like Chicago better than New York City, people are friendly and you get that feeling of a huge city that is not as big, but if you want another city besides Chicago n NYC...i think we all agree, SAN FRANCISCO!!!!!! I love it here, I m from Sacramento, which is only a 1 hour drive from SF. And i can tell you I never get tired of going to San Francisco and take pictures n act like a tourist even though i know the whole SF bay area like the back of my hand...so definetly SF is the answer you re looking for

Chicago actually has the reputation of being one of the cleanest cities not only in the United States but in the world. Like any other city it has it s less than beautiful neighborhoods, but downtown is one of the cleanest, most well cared for city centers in the world.

Toronto is the cleanest big city I have ever seen. Alright, medium city. Seattle and san Francisco are good. Portland (either one) is clean. And Chicago...I don t know. When I visited there recently I was having way too much fun to notice.

No other city is like NYC. It stands alone. Chicago is closest. LA is not like either. As mentioned, a cleaner city is San Francisco but I would add Denver, Seattle, and Milwaukee but they re not close to the size and scope of NYC nor Chgo.

Chicago is not dirty. There is a city which is really clean, cleaner than Chicago but it is in Canada. It is Toronto.
