The only place I know is on Kapahulu, fairly close to the zoo end of the street, on the Diamond Head side of the street. I checked the yellow pages they don t list anything in Chinatown under vintage clothing. The only place they list is on Kalakaua.
There are great Thrift Stores in Honolulu, I never heard of one in Chinatown and it s not the best part of town. If you want good really good used clothing go to Punahou School Thrift Store. It s on the school campus and they have hours. You d see a lot of good name brand stuff, it s a wealthy Private school with rich parents who donate to that thrift store. Barack Obama went to this prep school and it s one of the elite schools so you will find the thrift store to have some amazing finds.
I have absolutely not idea, but even if there is one, I would highly suggest no limiting your choices to the selection of one local thrift store. Check out Ebay or Etsy.com for individual sellers, and LAVintage.com is my personal favorite for authentic vintage and they ship anywhere for reasonable prices.Good luck!
You are correct. Queens is one of the five boroughs of NYC, therefore, you a native New Yorker.Good luck
I would consider you to be born in New York City, but I m not from New York. A few snobbish assholes might disagree because you weren t born in Manhattan.I was born 20 minutes east of San Francisco, but I still tell people that I was born in San Francisco because I don t live in California anymore (if I were speaking to a Californian, I told them East Bay Area).
The greatest city in the world encompasses five boroughs, if you must count Staten Island, and queens certainly qualifies. I don t like it when people from out of town call themselves Nrw Yorkers. I have had discussions with some who had never even been to the city. You may encounter some hubristic dolt who insists that only Manhattan , aka New York County, counts. Ignore them.
Absolutely. Nobody has any reason to question that, Queens is part of NYC. I ve never heard anybody say anything like, oh, you re not a REAL New Yorker because you re not from Manhattan. Not even the snobby ones.
First of all, yes, you are from NYC. Queens is certainly part of NYC.Also, regardless of what the other person who said that doesn t make you a real American - Actually, it does! Anyone born in the U.S. is an American - by law!
If you were born after or during 1898, yes. Prior to that, Queens was several separate cities/towns.
Yeh Definitely.
yeah (but it doesn t make you American)but just a pointer: you asked if you were technically born in New York City. I think you understand that many people don t mean Queens when they talk about New York City.
