Live in the US and got a nintendo ds lite but its format is PAL (AU, NZ, UK standard)...? -

I just got my sister-in-law a nintendo ds lite for christmas. Its coming from China soooo you d think I would have checked to make sure its made for the U.S. lol but I sure didn t. Now looking at it, its format says its PAL (AU, NZ, UK standard) . I want to have everything here to make it work when it comes. What do I need to make the product work here in the United States? Do I need an adapter or do I need a converter?...or both? Thanks for all the help! =0) Hope everybody has a wonderful holiday!!! 3

unfortunately it s the software that is inside the ds so you would have to buy the games from AU, NZ, or UK. There is no adaptor or converter for the ds that will make it play US games, it may sound dumb but that s what it is.The power on the ds is the same as any where in the world, but you will need to buy a power cord for the ds to fit in the us outlet because the UK and AU have a lower voltage output. The US power cord should fit in the ds just like the charger that came with it and still convert the ac voltage into dc voltage to charge the DS.

Is 17 degrees celsius cold in new orleans? -

Umm...Im writing a book and it s set in NEW ORLEANS in December and I live in London so i don t know if 17 degrees is cold or not...Help..?

17 degrees celsius is about 62 degrees farenheit, so that s not very cold to begin with, but with the humidity, that s pretty comfortable. Basically, if it s 62 degrees outside, I d probably be wearing a light sweater or something.

17C would be a normal high temperature for New Orleans in December, though slightly above average. A local would consider it cold once the temperature got down to about 5C.The weather can get quite cold in New Orleans but the city stays green all year most years as it rarely goes below freezing and almost never snows. We pay for the nice winters with brutally hot, humid summers.

0 degrees Celsius is freezing; 37 degrees Celsius is human body temperature; 17 is closer to freezing than human body tempThough it sometimes gets cold in New Orleans, it is rarely freezing. Usually New Orleans is exceptionally HOT and HUMID. In the U.S. we use Farenheit NOT Celsius. New Orleans would typically be between 70 and 110 Farenheit.

17 degrees celsius is the same temperature all over the world

maybe not

How do you get to moma from 42 street? NYC? -

how do you get to moma from 42 street? NYC

I would take the E train on W42 up to 53rd and 5ave.Than your going to have to walk to 53rd and W11ave(Go towards 53rd, 6th ave) MoMA is on 53rd and W11th

Just to clarify, the address of MoMa is 11 West 53rd Street, which is between 5th and 6th Avenues, nowhere near 11th Avenue...What part of 42nd Street? If you re on the east side, I d say just walk it on a nice day, it s a nice walk.If you re on the west side, I still say walk it, but a ride on an uptown/Queens-bound E train (on 8th Avenue/Times Square) or an uptown/Queens-bound V train (on 6th Avenue/Bryant Park) will bring you to 5th Avenue/53rd Street. Go upstairs and you re there.EDIT: I stand by my correct answer despite the thumbs-down.

Best way really is to walk. It is about a fifteen minute walk and any transportation that you take will eat up at least that much time. Just walk uptown eleven blocks to 53rd street. It is located between fifth and sixth avenues. FGree admission can be had on Fridays after four courteousy of Target s, but the lines can be long.

Walk a block west to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and take the Queens-bound (eastbound) E train (Blue Line on the subway map) from the bus terminal to 5th Avenue and 53rd Street.MoMa is located a short walk from the subway station.I hope this infomration is very helpful.Good luckNative New Yorker

What are some unique places to check out in the states surrounding Ohio? -

flea markets, antique malls, parks, nature preserves, picturesque places, places to shop ( no malls), historic places, museums, seasonal places, fairs and festivals, etc., etc.. Just about anything but wineries and golf courses. :)

those are all good places... why did you answer your own question?

How long would it take to go on BART from the San Jose station to the Emeryville station? -

Im trying to figure out if I can commute from San Jose to Expression college.. thanks!

BART does not go to San Jose. You can take Amtrak Capitol Corridor from San Jose Diridon Station (has connections to VTA busses and light rail) to Emeryville where you can catch local buses if needed. Or if you get off a bit earlier at the Oakland Coliseum stop, you can connect to BART. The trip on Amtrak is about 1.25 hours and $16 for a single ticket, potentially cheaper with a monthly pass.

There s no BART station in San Jose OR Emeryville. Perhaps you are looking for the Capital Corridor Amtrak train?

nearest is Fremont, it takes one hour to MacArthur BART, then free shuttle to Emeryville

I thought San Jose doesnt have BART.

California 5 DAY getaway. NEED help with ordering! starting from San Diego? -

This is what I have so farStarting from San Diego, this is the order (distance) I am planning to take-Sequoia Trees -Kings Canyon then-YosemiteThen -Lake TahoeThen -Golden Gate Bridge -Alcatraz -Crooked streetI also want to use Route 1andHighway 50and pass by Santa Monica pier as well.My questions are: First of all, Do I have the ordering right? How do I make use of Highway 1 and 50? How long do you think I should spend at each place? (Maximum of 5 days all together)PLUS, are there any additional places that I MUST stop by?

You may need to pass through Santa Monica on the way north from San Diego. Hit there first then jump on the 10 to the 405 and your on your way to the 5 north and on your way to Sequoia National Park. As an alternative you could take 1 north and at Santa Margarita you can take 58 across to Bakersfield. No Big Sur however. Now with your time limitations you may want to skip Sequoia and Kings Canyon and head right for Yosemite. You can hit the Mariposa Grove of Sequoias just inside the south entrance. So here you go Day 1 Drive to Santa Monicathen north on 1 to Santa Margaritacross on 58 to Bakersfield and north on the 99 for as long as you can. Route 41 takes you to Yosemite.Day 2 into Yosemite spend day and night there.Day 3 Drive to Tahoe and spend night there.Day 4 drive to San Fransisco and spend night thereDay 5 San Francisco and area. Longest drive is day 1You certainly have an ambitious trip planned. I just hope you are leaving via San Francisco.Anyway here s a site that has info on both San Diego and Yosemite that might help you.http://www.smart-tourist.org/

You have the order correct.50 will take you from Lake Tahoe to the bay area. I would go north of the bay into Napa Valley (must stop you don t have, assuming you like wine). Across the top of the bay to Sausalito and into SF that way.In my opinion, not that much to see on 1 between SF and Santa Cruz, so I d take 101 south of SF then take 17 over to Santa Cruz, then take 1 to San Luis Obispo, get back on 101 until the two roads come back together just north west of Santa Barbara. Stay on 1 to the pier in Santa Monica. The other place I d consider stopping is Solvang. That s a nice loop, to bad you only have 5 days. I could easily spend a whole day or more at each of your first target sights. Napa is a day all by itself, going to take at least a 1/2 day to do Alcatraz and there is so much to see in SF if you ve never been there. Lombard street, you can only go down, not up. Nice to say been there done that, but it s over rated in my opinion. You can t drive much if any of the route fast. There is so much stuff to see, you will be stopping constantly.

Whats the closest indoor water park from brookltn NY? -

Moving from CT to FL with my 4 year old... where should I move to ? -

Im planning to move to FL with my 4 year old son and would like to live somewhere near Orlando since there are things to do with my son but I don t want to live in busy area ..just want to be able to visit Orlando to do fun things.. .Which city should we move to that s near Orlando but not too busy and has job opportunities? and also what type of work can I find there ? I do customer service here in CT

For the time being, stay in Connecticut. There are very few jobs available in Florida and the Orlando area in particular. The few jobs that are available pay ridiculously low wages. For comparisons, the unemployment rate in Florida is the 8th highest in the nation at 11.2%. Connecticut comes in the middle of the pack at 26th highest at 8.8%.

What to wear for orlando in winter? -

I am going to orlando from december 30 to january 9 but I just need to pack clothes clothes for 31-1-2, so 31-1 im going to parks and 2 shopping, i plan to run almost every day in the morning.

I guess your usual summer clothes. T-shirts, shorts, capris, flip flops, etc. Remember to bring a sweatshirt since it can get cold at night. Hope this helps!

Orlando is usually warm in the winter. You can pack a variety of clothes, such as t-shirts, shorts, jeans, light weight jacket or sweater. It s usually in the 60 s, sometimes 70 s F, in the daytime. It will be a little cool at night. It s usually dry and sunny, but bring an umbrella just in case.

Unfortunately our weather has been really weird so far. Yesterday was in the 80s but a few days earlier we had temps in the 40s. I d take a variety. Most importantly, comfy shores and sunscreen. We have bright days all year long.

like Ms Bell said it can bounce around. I live in orlando.I have sen new years about 80 and I have seen it as low as 40 degrees during the day. the weather is very hard to predict. the beaches are about an hours drive in either direction. the gulf is far prettier with its white sands and small waves. if You planning on hitting any of the clubs its the usual club attire. i hope I answered your questions. feel free to contact me thru my profile and i can answer more. have a great day

take light clothes and for that just in case scenarios because Orlando is usually warm but sometimes get really cool take a nice going out sweater and a regular one or two for the everyday wear have fun and Good Luck

just go to accuweather.com and type in orlando and you can view a 15day forecast before you leave to get a good idea of the temps. thats what i did before i went to disney last month and it helped out alot.

Are there any subway stations around Corona,CA?????PLEASE HELP!!!? -

Florida residents help explain Floridas traffic, weather, and, hospitality? -

I m working on a comparison-contrast essay about two cities, one of which is going to be Wichita. The only other place I ve really been in Florida, but I m not sure which city there would have the best comparison-contrast information to Wichita. If you could just explain the part of FL you live in or know of in the subjects of traffic, weather, and, hospitality, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced! 3

I live in tampa bay area and traffic is usually horrible from 7am till 10 am than again from 3p till 7pm so if you go out it must be between 10a and 3p but at times during the winter months the northern people are here and traffic is also bad.the reason for traffic mess are the roads, there are not enough to carry all the traffic, there has been some improvement but not enough and will probably be another 20 years before it gets better and than again there will be more people on the road, so i am guessing it will never get caught up. the weather is great from nov. till may as temps stay about 75 to 80 and very little rain and lots of sun. but from may till nov it has lots of rain and so humid it is hard tot take. hospitality is fine if you are on vacation, restaraunts, hotels treat you nice and of course disney is the best for hospitality. If you live here that is again another story as drivers are so stressed over lack of roads there is alot of road rage and upset people, but when I use the roads daily I leave early and maybe the rest of the drivers should also and than they wouldn t be so stressed by being late. hope this is some help tp you

Florida is overpopulated, full of old ppl and site seers making traffic extremely overwhelming for the commuters, no matter what day it is, even in the smaller towns. It s mostly sunny, hot and muggy 80% of the year and the lightning is insane at times. Not your typical go outside conditions unless it s during the winter months. The hospitality is average at best due to the number of new faces and low morale overall. FL is not one of the better places to live nor go on vacation to anymore unless, your are retired, filthy rich, biting insects don t bother you, love 100 degree weather and going to a washed-up beach.

Maybe compare to Fort Myers, Florida or Polk County, Florida. They are close in population to Wichita. Weather -- Wichita gets tornadoes in spring / summer; Florida gets hurricanes in late summer / early fall.Orlando and other FL resort areas welcomes large airplanes full of people to billions of hotel rooms. Wichita employs many people building a large number of smaller airplanes.

Can you give me some ideas of what to do in vegas with my boyfriend? -

I m going to vegas with my boyfriend in december, neither of us drink or gamble so i would like to get some ideas of what are some nice things to do..also, i m a cancer patient so i dont have a lot of energy so, can anyone recomend things that are easy to do? For example im looking forward to going to the big m m world shop, stuff like that? Thanks a lot

Get married!

You will never be bored in Las Vegas. Not only is it affordable, and very luxurious but full of activities. You don t have to gamble or have a lot of money to have a great time. Here is a list of fun things to dohttp://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/things-toRemember to see the Bellagio fountains, the Mirage Volcano and Fremont street at night.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is a suprisingly good attraction. The Palms has an IMAX theater. -------------There are some heated pools that are open in December. The Hoover Dam is spectacular (it s cheaper to rent a car for the day then to take a bus). Plus you can stop at Lake Las Vegas.

Check www.lvrj.com entertainment section, which is our local paperMadameTussauds Wax Museum - VenetianShark Reef - Mandalay BayEnjoy a buffetWorlds Largest Sourvenir Store - kitty corner to SaharaLion Habitat - MGM freeSigfried Roys Secret Garden - Mirage - plus volcano at nightFountains at Bellagio2 free anatronic statute shows at Forum Shops - Caesars Palace and look at the ceiling charnge

lick him good and give him a great time or he will leave you for a vegas girl.

just enjoy each others company

Hi,I have been to Vegas dozens of times and only gambled once there and I don t drink either. There is more to do than follow the flow and do the obvious things (get drunk, eat at buffets and gamble lol). You can see and enjoy all the activities of the hotels which turned the city into mini-Disney World:Hotel related:Walk the Strip at NightExcalibur Grand Hotel Casinothe LuxorMandalay BayTreasure Island Pirate ShowMGM Grand Lion Habitat and the Walk of StarsNew York-New York and the Manhattan Express roller coasterParis Hotel Other than just the hotels:Stratosphere Tower observation deck ridesAll the different Cirque de Soliel s Red RockValley of Fire State ParkBellagio conservatoryLake Mead/Hoover Dam Grand Canyon tours (by air and land)Downtown Las Vegas, Fremont Street Ron Lee s World of ClownsCoca Cola World Las VegasThere are many Adult Spots too if your in to that.... Stick with bonafide travel planners especially the ones linked to your hotel. Everything can be booked and managed on your own anyway. This is the main and first site I go to before I travel anywhere. It was pics, reviews, testimony for travellers, links to hotels and more and is constantly updated. It talks about safety and things to do off the beaten path . It kept me from staying in horrible hotels around the world and see things not mentioned in most travel guides. I knew more than most locals after research.http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/NorGood luck and have fun!
