What can I take with me to Times Square on New Years Eve? -

My friends and I are going to New York for the first time and we re going to Times Square to watch the ball drop. I know we have to be there insanely early before the crowds come, hence, what can we bring? We ll be there for hours but I ve heard there are certain things you can and cannot take into the area. Soo... any suggestions?

You can t take a backpack. I wouldn t recommend a purse because there are just so many people in the same area. Alcohol isn t allowed.
