Some things in the city to see and do:The Waterfront near the AquariumA Ferry Ride to Bainbridge IslandMuseum of FlightPike Place MarketSince you will be here for a fairly long visit you should have the time to venture out of the city to see some other sights. Some suggestions:Snoqualmie FallsThe Olympic peninsula and Olympic National Park - Beautiful ocean beaches and rain forests - rain gear is a must at this time of the year. Or you could just go to the area around Sequim that remains fairly drySan Juan IslandsWhidbey Island and Deception PassTake a trip over Steven s Pass to LeavenworthIf you are old enough and enjoy adult beverages:Woodinville to tour Wineries and/or Breweries
There are many great attractions in Seattle. You ll enjoy the zoo and aquarium. They are both excellent. The view from the Space Needle is beautiful and the ride up on the elevator is fun. You ll also want to visit Northwest Trek Wildlife Park, Tillicum Village, The Museum of Flight, Pioneer Square, Pike s Place Market, The Seattle Art Museum, take a whale-watching tour, and take the Underground Tour of Seattle (very interesting and fun) and The Seattle Ducks Tour (a fun land/water tour of Seattle, you can drive the duck and quack like a duck on the tour). The Klondike Goldrush National Historic Park is also very interesting and worth visiting. In addition, I highly recommend taking a seaplane tour of Seattle. I took one some years ago and you get to see the Space Needle and can see all of the city from all directions. If you enjoy coffee, visit some of Seattle s coffeehouses. I went to many on my trips there, and haven t been to a bad one yet. Coffee is delicious and you can sometimes get free internet and some good conversation with locals or other tourists. You can also visit Mt. Rainer and Olympic National Parks for spectacular scenic nature views. Since you have the time, I highly recommend visiting Vancouver, CA, while in Seattle. There are many tour companies, like Grayline (which I took when I was in Seattle), which have day tours to Vancouver. It s a very nice, scenic city worth visiting. Vancouver has Chinatown, Stanley Park, Lion s Gate Bridge (pretty when lit up at night), Vancouver Aquarium, Grouse Mountain, and the Calipano Suspension Bridge.
ye olde curiosity shop by pier 17, underground tour(haunted ghostly activities tour), Ivar s Fish and Chips (restauraunt/food place, not the most formal but sooo good :D), pikes place is a must, starbucks/seattles best coffee, pioneer square, SAM, seattle aquarium, the library, various art museums or olympia sculpture park, experience music project (EMP)these are all places that i love to go in seattle xD
