Umm....Going to cali doesn t mean seeing celebs. I ve been there, and i didn t see anyone famous, but i passed their mansions in beverly hills. Also, you could stay at a motel, or the days inn hotel, those should be cheap. But it depends on where you are staying, so google hotels near where you are staying. Also, you could go to Sea World, which is in San Diego. That is 2 hours from los angeles from what i remember. You could go to disney world, which is pretty close. Also, if its still warm there go to malabu, it really makes you feel like you are in cali, lol. Go to the beach. If its still warm there. Edit: Beverly hills is really expensive, so don t even by water there, i think its like 7 or 8 for a bottle of water, its crazy. My whole family was starving in beverly hills lol.
Airfare is dependent on where you are flying out from. Allegiant Air has $39 flights each way per person. Southwest, American and Jet Blue offer discount flights to Los Angeles. Check not only LAX but John Wayne (Orange County), Ontario, Burbank, Long Beach and even San Diego for flights. I usually stay with friends or camp when I m there, so I m not much help on that one. I go there to surf and skateboard, so I know of good surf spots and skateparks. There s the usual touristy stuff like Disneyland, Knott s Berry farm, Universal Studios, Queen Mary and Olivera Street. You could hit up Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
Like the other guy said, it depends on where you are leaving from. NOLA to Orlando is cheap. Phoenix to California is cheap. Where you coming from?? Why don t you do the miles and math test? I lost my mind reading skills about 23 months ago.You posted under Los Angeles, but you ask about all of California. What s your actual destination?
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
The only problem with LA and Orlando is that in LA, the taxes are a lot higher. There are no cheap hotels in LA and if your main reason to come to LA is to see celebrities, then you will be SO DISAPPOINTED.
Besides what the others said, celebrities are scarce in LA. I have lived here since 2001 and have seen exactly 1.
