What is the temperature usually like in fort lauderdale Florida in december? -

Im going for christmas, and im really hoping to get a tan! Will i be dissapointed with chilly rainy days?

Well, you can most certainly get a tan with our December sun here in Fort Lauderdale. Most of the time, the weather is excellent. Sunny and 78-82 degrees. But there are times when we ll have a two or three day period of cooler or wetter weather. We have no clue what the weather will be for Christmas, so cross your fingers and let s hope it works out just the way you wish.

Well in December it s one of the best that it gets in Ft. Lauderdale and the broward county area. The best temperature/climate/weather in south florida is in Miami and the Miami-Dade County area. In Ft. Lauderdale and broward county, it s more humid and sticky and you sweat a lot more and easier. The sun is unbearable most of the time, that you don t want to anywhere outside that the sun can hit you. In Miami and Miami-Dade County, it s more fresh and you actually want to be outside, it s not as humid as Ft. Lauderdale/broward county, but in truth it s rarely humid that you can t stand it, all of Florida in generally is humid , but in Miami/Miami-Dade County it doesn t bother you, it s really the best temperature/climate/weather in Florida. It never gets sticky and if it ever does you don t notice it because it doesn t bother you and you rarely sweat (it really also depends on the person) but I have only sweated twice and it was because I was running. The cold in Florida is also better in Miami, right now in south florida, it s chilly but you can always get a tan as long as the sun is out. The rain is also worse in ft.lauderdale, I couldn t stand living in Ft. lauderdale and other parts in broward county (it s the way that it is, like the temperature, etc is different in different places in California even though, they re in the same state) But yes, I recommed Miami/Miami-Dade County, not just for the temperature/climate/weather, but for everything else, beaches, nightlife, city(downtown, and midtown only found in Miami) and the infinity other things only found in Miami.

it doesn t usaually get to cold here but its alwats best to check what the weather is going to be like when your here because sometimes its hot and sunny and other times rainy and cold!!

60 s-70 s

Today was sunny in the low 80 s.

Does anyone have personal experience with finding a short term place to stay in Yuma, Arizona? -

We are planning on going to Yuma next week to get dental work done. Does anyone have any places to stay that they could reccomend? Thanks!

My grandma lives in Yuma and we have visited with in the year, since the last time we went there are a ton of new developments, lots of new hotels, shopping, etc. It shouldn t be hard at all to find a place to stay. Good Luck!

No, but if there is an Extended Stay America there, that might be a good choice. They have rooms with kitchen facilities and a separate bedroom.

Universal Studios during Presidents Day week? -

I thought about visiting Universal during President s Day week with my four nephews. I have been to Orlando many times during spring and summer, but not this early in the year. Has anyone been during this time? Crowds? We are stayig from Feb.15- Feb. 19th. Thought about visiting some Disney parks, not quite sure about crowds??? Any suggestions would be helpful.

That s a good time to go because none of the schools are on spring break so the parks will be pretty empty. You shouldn t find long lines at any of the parks that time of the year. Plus the weather is less hot and humid and you may even find it chilly if a cold front moves through.

Anyone from bodton or Seattle please answer here ......? -

I will be going to Boston and then on to Seattle a couple of days later for a holiday in february .. I just want to know what are the shops like abercrombie, hollister and American eagle are like there? Which would generally be cheaper ? And dot tell me to look online because I just want to hear from someone who knows for sure! Thanks!

In Seattle the shops like you just mentioned are all in the downtown corridor near Westlake Center and Pacific Place Mall. Pacific Place is generally higher end shops like Barney s and True Religion. If you re looking for really good deals on good quality clothing, skip the retail stores and go straight to Nordstrom s Rack on Second Avenue and Pine. Depending on what s in stock, you can usually find designer clothing for at least 50% off retail.

yea i go to seattle all the time,,,,,I have always loved to go into the Pacific Place and have starbucks coffee on the third floor browse Victoria s Secret and go into the many high end boutiques there like Cache Guess Ann Taylor and more. The mall is three floors and there s a fun shop on every level to go and dream in. There is underground parking a movie theater and a cafe on the ground floor level. It s my favorite mall to go into in downtown Seattle. A very upscale and classy place. Be prepared to spend bucks though!:)

Where in New York City does it look like this after it snows? -

http://www.ritzvillejournal.com/archives

Manhattan is thoroughly cleaned after a snowfall. When I lived in the far part of Brooklyn we d hardly ever see snow plows. The previous answer was right, you can definitely see that in Brooklyn, Queens, SI or parts of the Bronx. If you really want to see snow accumulation in Manhattan, you d have to go to a park. Central Park is especially pretty in the snow. http://wirednewyork.com/real_estate/mayf

It gets like that In quite neighborhoods that are more residential rather than business oriented. The streets are like that in many places in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and some parts of Manhattan. All the parks in nyc look like that for sure. The thing is.. the snow meltss. It s always a problem because after it snows it usually gets warmer or the streets don t stay like that (full of snow) for too long because it s mandatory for the roads to be shoveled and melted. People also shovel all around their houses. So it doesn t stay like that too long.

It looks like a residential neighborhood in Queens or Brooklyn. I can t think of anyplace in Manhattan that might look like that.

hard to say probaly the suburbs because the snow in ny either melts or turns into slush or doesnt come at all.

No where in NYC . In Denver almost everywhere.

Near dallas Tx, what are some good LAKES, where i can also rent a boat for cheap, besides White rock lake? -

Joe Pool lake has entrances in Grand Prairie and Cedar Hill State Park. Both cost a fee of $10 to get in because the bathrooms are clean and so are the parks. There are nice hiking and biking trails in the hills. Lake Lewisville is ok it has the most boat wrecks and drownings. Lake Grapevine is nice and so is Lake ray hubbard off of 30E.

Lake Ray Hubbard and Lake Lewisville come to immediate mind.

Student MetroCard question? -

I heard that a Student MetroCard only has up to 3 uses, but what if I need to take a train and a bus to and from school. If there anyway I can ask for up to 4 uses for my Student MetroCard?

each use is entitled to a transfer. basically, the card can be swiped/dipped 6 times a day. 3 actual fares, and the 3 metrocard transfers.

If you take a train and a bus in the same trip, you get a transfer, so it only counts as one use. So if you take a bus and a train to and from school, both ways, together, would only be considered 2 uses.

The Thing With The Student Metro Cards Is This3 RidesWith Transfers 6 RidesIf You Live A Certain Amount Away From Your School you Can Ask Your School To Issue A 4 Ride Metro CardWith Transfers 8 Rides

No, you re only entitle to three rides per day. However, the card should include a transfer to subway, very much like the pay per ride (regular) MetroCard.Good luck
