What is there in San Diego for New Years thats fun, romantic, and has fireworks? -

I ve never gone down to san diego before for new years but this year me and my bf were thinking of going there and checking it out! we just want maybe a nice restaurant by the beach to go to with fun surrounding areas to do other things and then to have a good view of some new years fireworks! any fun suggestions would be great!! i haven t really had many fun new years so i want to make this one a good one!!

Hornblower has a great cruise with dinner, dancing....and fireworks viewed from the water. Lots of romantic fun!

When I was there the water was so beautiful. I was like.. we have THAT color water in SD? And I didn t know? :P And of course.. You can eat there for that beautiful sunset;)Oh and fyi... Our sun is setting rli early over here... Like at 5pm it gets dark or starts to get dark I think.But yea... In addition to the restaraunt... there is Belmont Park! Haha. Rollercoaster.. Boardwalk type of a thing. I think it s super cute. It has shops... Of course the beach is right there as well.. A nice heated indoor pool that is usually very quiet and very nice. Other rides, games, and now an indoor mini golf.Oh ANDDD Sea World is not too far so u d be able to see their fireworks!! My parents both grew up on 64th Street in Philadelphia. We had the thought to have a picture painted for them for Christmas- I know a little late. We are having a little bit of trouble finding pictures. Now the area is a complete war-zone so a current picture would not help; we are looking for a picture that would have been taken from the 60 s to the late 80 s. Vegas NYE 2010 Cathouse or Body English? -

I narrowed it down to celebrate NYE at Cathouse (@ Luxor) or Body English (@ Hard Rock) Cathouse is a little smaller club that has open bar from 10pm-12 for $100. Body English has open bar from 9pm-3am for $150. I ve never been to these clubs and heard really good things about both places. Which place do you think we (2 guys 3 girls) should go to? And who has actually been to these clubs? How was your experience there? Also if we go really early will we avoid the lines? Like around 9pm. Thanks

I can t think of any reason to pick Cathouse over Body English unless you are staying within walking distance of Luxor and transportation is a factor. The extra $50 is worth it for 4 more hours of free drinks in a bigger club.

I don t live in Port Richmond, but I live in neighboring Fishtown which has the same feel. The area is definitely changing. I am white but there is a black family beside me and an Indian family on the other. I ve never heard of anybody giving them any problems and Fishtown has the same reputation as being a racist area of Philly. You might not be 100% accepted in their social community but unless you have lived here for 20+ years, white or black, that s not going to happen anyway.
