There are lots of excellent locations, like Delta to hunt moose. Also in areas off the Tanana and Yukon River, but be sure you are hunting in legal areas and not Native lands. The father away you get from roads and crowds the better. And the more time you have to spend in an area the better.Alaska is Huge: http://www.tongass-seis.net/media/tong_UAnd the hunting regs are pretty complicated so no matter what area you choose please take the time to e sure you know the exact regulations for that area.http://www.wildlife.alaska.gov/index.cfmBreaking the rules as stated in the hunting regulations is a very serious offense, so it is really worth it to do your homework. And remember just becuase it looks like free open space, does not mean you can hunt there. We have problems every year with uneducated disrespectful hunters coming on our property (despite signs) they just assume no one could live that far from town, they are wrong and they are trespassing. it is the hunters responsibility to check and make sure it is legal to hunt in the area they are going to.Also if you are coming from out of state you will want to read the special regulations for non-resident hunters
