Visiting NYC. Which tour is legit? There are too many on-line to choose from!? -

Is the hop on hop off grey line tour worth the $? I d like to hop on and off and see Titanic, Bodies, AND a boat cruise.

Depends on how adventurous you d like to be.The Grey Line is well established and has been a staple in NYC for years. Its simple and hits most if not all the spots a tourist might like to see. However,Public transportation is far cheaper and a real NY experience in itself, reliable and easier than you might think. For the things you listed public transportation would serve you just fine.I say if your budget allows it, do both. 1 day on the bus should do it.That way you wont miss anything and you can go off the reservation so to speak. Some of the best stuff is seen by walking.

A HOHO is only worth it if you re really interested in hearing the banter from the tour guide. An easier solution would be to get an unlimited metrocard and a map. Taking the subway is relatively easy and gets you to your end point quicky. The only downside is that you don t see any pretty sights along the way. You can take a bus, but if you re going a long distance you ll be sitting there for quite a while as the traffic in Manhattan can be outrageous.Titanic and Bodies are both easily accessable via subway. The circle line terminal (I m guessing that s what you were referring to) isn t near a subway line, but you can always either walk or take a bus.

You can use mass transit (Trains, not buses unless you got to), which are inexpensive, and if you know how to use map quest, or even call up MTA s transit information line at 718-330-1234, you can get information to get to and from anywhere you want to go in the city. If you really want to do a tour, I can t really tell you as I lived in this city all my life, and they all seem cheesy and crappy just by looking at them, and if one is considering them it almost could only be due to monetary reasons, as I would quit if I were getting paid to ride those stupid things, lmao.

If you have never been to NYC - by all means take a Grey Line tour. The banter from the Tour Guides is informative and you will see much more than if you take the subway. If history, trivia, movie locations and scandalous sites are not your forte - public transportation or walking is certainly an option in the city.See more with a tour but don t use the Gray Line as a mode of transportation only. Enjoy!

Grey Line Tour is worth the money. However, if you want to experiece NYC on your own, I would recommend getting a subway, purchase an unlimited MetroCard and ride the subway to the all the attractions. The fare on the subway is $2.25 and a 7 day unlimited MetroCard is $27. Subway maps are free at all subway stations.Good luck

Whats open on Christmas day in New Orleans? -

I m planning to go to New Orleans on Dec 24 -Dec 25. Questions : is there anything will open on xmas eve and xmas day such as french market, bars in bourbon st , Food might be overpriced . Anyone who ve been there on xmas day please help me. I don t want to drive for 6 hours to eat fast food or chinese and nothing to do.. I want to see everything, not much of the bar lover. Should I change my plan to Dec 27-Dec 28???Thanks a million and Merry X-Mas to you all ;)PS: Any others suggestion accept.

A few bars will be open on Christmas Day but most will be closed, and probably only restaurants in the hotels will be open. Almost everythng else will be closed. I recommend changing to December 27th - 28th. For things to do: www.frenchquarter.com

The Everything that you want to see is really closed, it is a sad day in bars in the Quarter that are open. Carriage riders are out on Christmas day, the Ghost Tours operate on Christmas day too. Dinner on the Natchez on the 24th brings you to huge bonfires along the river - that s a nice thing to do on the 24th. But for Christmas day, there isn t much else open.

Golden Gate Park Botanical garden fee...? -

So tomorrow is my birthday and im celebrating it with family by going to the golden gate park in SF for the first time! I recently saw something about a botanical garden! It looks so amazing and i really want to go but i need to know if it costs anything. I researched it and all I could find was that it WAS free but people were trying to make it so that there was a $5 fee early this year. I would love any info!

The San Francisco Botanical Gardens are free and very beautiful. One of my favorite spots is in the Japanese Gardens. I also enjoyed the Redwood Nature Trail and Garden of Fragrance. I saw some cute turtles in a pond. Lots of squirrels run around the garden. Great bird watching here. There are plenty of benches to sit. You ll do plenty of walking, but it s worth it. Check out the gift shop because they have some intersting things to buy. The restrooms are clean. Be careful of the poison oak.

It s free. I highly recommend you take a docent tour, which tells you about the plants and gives you some fascinating information:http://www.sfbotanicalgarden.org/visitin

Weather in New York in March? -

Im going on a school trip in March 2010 and was wondering what the weather will be like?Sunny? Cold? Or somewhere in between?Any help is much appreciated :)

In New York City, March can vary. The beginning of the month is cold usually in the 40 s but by the end of the month average daytime highs are in the mid to upper 50 s. The daytime temperature in March usually ranges anywhere from 30 to 75 degrees. It could snow but nothing really major. But the temperature varies greatly in different parts of the city. In March when the ocean temperature is still very cool, the temperature in Manhatten can be as much as 20 degrees warmer than on the coast like Coney Island or Kennedy Airport.

It depends on what part of New York you are talking about. Upstate from Buffalo to Albany to the Adirondacks it will be cold and wet and snowy. Downstate around the city, it will be cold and wet.

It can be sunny at times, snowing at times, and raining at times. But it s going to be cold so be prepared. Good luck!

How can i findbuses that travel to correctional facility? -

Greyhound has 2 buses daily to Mt Vernon, about 14 miles to the north. You will probably want the evening bus as the morning one arrives too late for visiting...unless you want to stay in a Mt Vernon motel. Take a taxi to Big Muddy CC. Below is the bus info: Carrier......Departs.....Arrives.......D GLI 1211 10:30am 04:40pm... 6hrs, 10min GLI 1301 8:35pm 04:35am... 8hrs, 0min with 1 transferYou may have to stay overnight because of the times of the return trip:RETURN Carrier.....Departs.....Arrives.......Du GLI 1200 9:35am 2:15pm.....4hrs, 40min GLI 1216 2:15pm 7:15pm......5hrs

No buses, only cabs lol. There are no conveniences for prisoners Or their parents. That s the price they pay for being a criminal . I hope whoever it is, will learn a big lesson from their own mistakes. .
