Blackstone River waterfall? -

I remember going to this large brick building on a fairly large river (I think its the Blackstone River), and right next to the building was a really loud waterfall. Its in either Blackstone MA or Woonsocket RI. If not, definitely one of the surrounding towns but im 99% sure it was one of those two towns. Im just trying to figure out where it is on a map, and OR pictures.

I think you are thinking about Pawtucket, RI. There are a series of old brick buildings along the banks of the Blackstone River, one of which is an old hydroelectric plant that was refurbished in the early 1980s. for use as the business office for Blackstone Valley Electric Company.

I know there is one in South Grafton on the Blackstone river, another in Worcester, Uxbridge also has one, not so sure about Northbridge. There are many old mill towns on the Blackstone River, all of them have man-made waterfalls in which the energy was used to power the mills which were almost entirely made of brick

i agree with others, are you talking about $2700 per week, month, year. if you are talking about per week - yes no problem; per month - might be a little more difficult; per year - no way.you need to check the currency conversion rates from your currency to theirs or vice versa bearing in mind the difference in living standards and costs. whilst it does sound like a lot to you, in virginia it is not, it is in actual fact a pittance if however you are being provided with accommodation and food then it could be different.be very careful. your first option might be to stay in a youth hostel until you can work out what you want to do and where you want to go.

we are looking to go in MAY so it needs to have the best indoor water park and attractions. family friendly. any advice or helpful hints is appreciated.

Kalahari has both great indoor an outdoor water parks. It also has a movie theatre, indoor theme park (including giant ferris wheel), spa, and great restaurants all within the complex.Wilderness has the worlds largest indoor and outdoor water park area. They also have restaurants with in walking distance, arcades, pottery painting, and a new zip-line.Chula Vista has had major renovations over the past few years. They have a great selection of restaurants, water parks, and family activities.Activities not to be missed-Dells Duck Boat Rides, Noah s Ark, shopping downtown, and surrounding small towns. Most hotels offer great coupons book too.

The 3 big ones / most popular with significant indoor water parks are: Kalahari, Great Wolf and Wilderness. All are great for families. Probably a great time to go to the Dells, won t be crowded yet unless you are considering Memeorial Day.

It seems any town with over 5,000 people living there seems to be classed as a city. What classes a town a city in America? And why are there so many?

I believe the classification varies from state to state. You could have a place of 500,000 people in one state but it would be called a town , then in another state you could have a place of 1,000 people and it would be called a city .So it depends on the legislation of each state, and also people s general perception of a city .

thats not a city. a city is a population of at least 100,000 by the census. im not sure how the other municipalities or whatever are classified though. there are so many cities because so many people live there !
