I am going to Newyork in Jan, can anyone tell me where to visit apart from NY , Such as Philadelphia? -

or areas nearby ? That are in a reasonable distance to visit even Washington, and how do i get there such as the train and prices, is it possible to get to Ohio and what is the quickest route or is it to far and how much would it cost via public transport, may thanks

The large cities on the east coast (Boston, Philadelphia, Washington) are very easy to get to via public transportation from NY. The train is quicker but the bus is less expensive.Of course it s possible to get to Ohio, but I believe your only option would be the bus.If you re looking to get prices and/or time estimates, I suggest you look at greyhound.com (for the bus) and amtrak.com (for the train).

To go from the East to Ohio there is of course bus options. But depending upon what city you are leaving from Southwest Airlines might be cheaper. For 10 each way you can take a bus to Philadelphia, for 20-30 you can take a bus to Wash D.C., probably the same to Boston.

Which is the best city in usa? -

San Francisco is the best city to visit in the U.S. It has plenty of scenic beauty, great attractions, delicious restaurants, and great shopping. Some places to visit in San Francisco are Alcatraz, Coit Tower, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, Japantown, Cable Car Museum, Pier 39, Fisherman s Wharf, ride a cable car, drive down the crookedest street in the world, Lombard Street, The San Francisco Zoo, Muir Woods (north of San Francisco, beautiful nature area).

Petockey MichiganOverlooking the shores of Lake Michigan s Little Traverse Bay in the northern tip of Michigan s Lower Peninsula you ll find Petoskey Michigan, a quaint resort community with unmatched beauty and charm. Petoskey has been a destination for resorters for more than 100-years and for multiple generations. People return to soak in the rich views, breathe the clean air, eat at world-class restaurants and shop in the specialty shops and boutiques of its historic downtown.

How long to spend at carlsbad caverns? -

My boyfriend and I are in great shape and love to hike. We are going to Carlsbad Caverns in late Dec/early Jan and want to know how long we should plan on spending. We don t plan on booking a guided tour, just the self-guided. Are the Natural Entrance and Big Room tours separate, or is the Natural Entrance tour just an alternative entry besides the elevator but covers the same main terrain? Would it be feasible to do both? How long does each one take, or to do both? Thanks!

I found that 3 or 4 hours was enough to see all of it.The lower caverns require advance reservation and are quite limited.

How much is the average rent in nyc? -

i know it varies greatly, but for a safe area in all the boroughs (manhattan, queens, brooklyn, etc.). i m just wondering how much it would cost to live in each. and just in an average place, i don t need anything fancy.thanks.

around $1000 believe me, NYC in general is expensive. That is why some people go to work there and go back to their homes to Westchester (example)

really depends where....every building is diff even...my grandmother lives on the upper east side n her rent is 7,00 a month but a building acroos the street, the same size apt could be 500$.

Recommendations: Should i go to Las Vegas in December 2009 or Spring Break 2010..? -

I figure there is more to do in spring break.. but a friend of mine said he thinks it would be better in December because a of fewer crowds.. Money not an issue.. when do you suggest is the best time? Also, are there hot girls there year round?

Best time to go this year is between December 13 and 23 (The National Finals Rodeo crowds leave on the 13th; then Christmas eve through New Years will be very busy.) Spring break will be crowded. An average of about 100,000 people visit Las Vegas per day and most of them are squeezed into that four mile long strip of Las Vegas Blvd. Mid December probably brings 60,000 to 80,000 visitors per day vs. spring break week will bring around 120,000 to 140,000 per day.

Well of course there are hot girls year round. Most guys like to go in March after the swimming pools open. However, there are heated pools in some hotels. ------------Since money is no object, you can afford one of the better hotels with year-round swimming pools. Mandalay Bay has one heated pool.

Even though pools may be open all year it is too cold to lay by the pool. Spring break has become a bigger thing here in Vegas since all the trouble in Mexico. However, the drinking age here in Vegas is 21 and not 18 like it is in Mexico. Would be better in the spring if you want to take advantage of the pools.

There are hot girls year around so it really does not matter when you want to go. If you want bigger crowds then go on spring break but youll still find hot girls and great times when you go in december. I just bought tickets at http://n9negroup.com/newhome/index.cfm for Rain and its going to be sweet they have famous djs and performers all the time.

December is fewer people by a lot, but that also means fewer hot girls. If you are going to Vegas to meet girls, why would you pick a time based on the least number of people around?

December; that way you can come celebrate Christmas with us!

Do not come unless you are 21 because you can drink, gamble or go clubbing

Is it getting chilly in Miami? -

I m in Palm Beach County and it s actually a little chilly today. Probably in the 60 s/50 s. Is it cold in Miami?????

yes it is 63 in sobe righ now 50s in kendall

That person asked in Miami, not Ft. Lauderdale. But yes, I would actually say it s cold and not chilly, but it s great, I don t know how to explain it, but it s so fresh, you can take a deep breath and it feels so good. You should come visit Miami or any place in Miami-Dade County and you re going to amazed.

Yeah today was the first real chilly day here in Ft Lauderdale... walked home this evening 11 pm and it was 53. Brrrr!

WHY O WHY? Is McDonalds @ 51st and Broadway in NYC charging 41 cents more for coffee on Thanksgiving Day? -

What a McDonalds rip-off today! Coffee that we buy everyday for $1.09, Suddenly on Thanksgiving Day goes up 41 cents! I guess because of the Parade and all the tourist s here, they want to Take-Take instead of Give-Give. BE ASHAMED to the Owners and Management @ this location!

I d be very surprised if you could buy McDonald s coffee at that location ever for $1.09. Everything is always more expensive in Manhattan and even more so in Times Square.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND! The more people, the more the price goes up! Besides, everything in NYC is expensive! Especially around the holidays!

Be thankful!!! I just got back from my McDonalds and they are closed for Thanksgiving Day. I would GLADLY pay an extra 41 cents for coffee!!

You actually drink McDonalds coffee?

LOL because they had to work on thanksgiving at Macdonald out of all places !

They probably give it for donations. But I m not really sure.

Because they can do it and get away with it.
