How much is the average rent in nyc? -

i know it varies greatly, but for a safe area in all the boroughs (manhattan, queens, brooklyn, etc.). i m just wondering how much it would cost to live in each. and just in an average place, i don t need anything fancy.thanks.

around $1000 believe me, NYC in general is expensive.That is why some people go to work there and go back to their homes to Westchester (example)

really depends where....every building is diff even...my grandmother lives on the upper east side n her rent is 7,00 a month but a building acroos the street, the same size apt could be 500$.
