I need EVERYONES opinion. Would you? -

*I am about to graduate high school in January 2010.- currently 19yrs old.- currently employed. But I am confused. I have lived in my home city all my life. I know where everything is like the gym, colleges to attend, malls....everything really. I am deciding whether or not to move to Atlanta, GA. My cousin lives there. But I would unconfortable because I would be moving away from everything i know. On the other hand, moving out would help me become more independant, learn how to provide for myself, etc.I need as many opinions as possible. Thanks! 3

Change is a good thing. It helps you grow and learn and experience things you may never see if you stay home. Do it with an open mind and a willingness to work hard and you will be successful.

Your parents job is done. Now it is time for you to grow into the person you are to be. People move out from home and grow up. It is not a easy world but it is the only one we have and it is time for you to move out into it and learn. I live in Atlanta and I would tell you to start slow and be careful.

Do it! If it doesn t work out, you can always move home. You re young, and you should be having the time of your life getting out and experiencing new things. Your cousin could introduce you to new people, and I bet you ll make new friends at work. If you never go, you might regret it.

I d move there. Hopefully I can move there in a few weeks. I just graduated from high school in April of this year and I m unemployed. I live in Memphis, TN at the moment but no one is hiring. I heard that there are a lot of jobs in Atlanta.

Spread your wings and fly. Try Atlanta. Home base will always be there when you want it.

I ll be honest with you hon. I m 24...never lived anywhere else in my life except for Jacksonville, NC...moved down here to Atlanta 6 months ago, didn t know a soul down here and....I LOVE IT! You will find a lot of transplants here, ppl that used to live in my city moved down here, some of my friends graduated h.s. and moved here so it always feels like I m near home in some way. Most ppl down here are pretty friendly, Atlanta is fast but slow at the same time, so I say they just flow with things. Because ur young you can easily find some kind of work, work for places you never thought you could and gain so much more experience that way in the workforce. You can go to any of their colleges here (heard GA State isn t hard to get into) there s always something to do...I m a homebody so I don t really go out much, but you would love it...just be aware that with a metro city comes a lot of different things you wouldn t normally see...so many homeless ppl here and peddlers, ppl are always trying to sell you stuff or hustle $$$ out of you, so be on your guard; other than that you ll love it :)

Hunter boots as snow boots in Chicago weather? -

I m shopping for snow boots and was wondering if anyone is using the Hunter boots with the fleece sock as a winter boot? The sales lady at Akira told me it was a great buy at about $150 for the boot with the socks. But I have a hard time believing that it could actually be used as a snow boot for warmth. Any feedback? Thanks!

Me and my friend wore them all last winter...ugg s as well..(of course they got ruined). I loved them. But my favorite were my North Face Nuptse Fur boot, very warm and they didn t slip all over the place. It s a nice heavy winter boot, but it still looks girly and feels light and sleek, not all heavy and bulky..good luck finding something, but the Hunters are warm and cute.

Fleece will surprisingly work. On the coldest days I wear fleece socks in the house outside. They can be used with shoes or any boot but they are thicker than most socks. I have not used Hunter socks. I have used them from LL Bean and REI.The photo does not show the tickness of the fleece. There are several types. In general, the thicker the material, the warmer it will be:http://www.hunter-boot.com/2/9/Shop-OnliFor boots I prefer complete wool lining. I ve had a pair for years and sometimes use them sockless for shoveling snow and outside chores.

What should I do in NYC tomorrow morning? -

My train home leaves at 1:00. What should I do in the morning? I don t want to go shopping.

You have such little time to spend in such a big city!Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the musuem you would like to go to beside it. Museums in New York City http://www.ny.com/museums/all.museums.ht Best of New York City This is a website I found that has a guide to the best food, the best shopping, the best tours, and et cetera. For the best of both worlds, visit this website for the highest rated restaurants in the city, the best tours, the best bars, and the best everything:http://gonyc.about.com/od/bestofnewyorkcSince you have a short period of time, as you should probably get to the train station an hour before your train leaves just to be safe, which gives you rougly four hours of wiggle room to go see the city. So, pick one or two of the things I listed above -- play by ear.All the best ?

Have a slice of pizza, they are really good.
