There are a lot of young adults in the DC area especially if you live near a university. If you stay near those areas you should have a lot of opportunities to go out. There are a lot of things to do and the subway makes it easy to get around the city. I would not say it is the most fun city in the world, but it does have a lot of stuff going on. Regarding safety, there are a few parts of DC that are a little sketchy, but those areas are pretty easy to identify and avoid. If you do move to DC, you may want to consider cost of living because living in DC is not cheap! It is probably a little cheaper than NYC or Boston, but not by much.
There are actually a lot of young professionals in their 20s who live in DC. The nightlife here is pretty good. I mean it s not NYC or LA but it s still good. As far as safety goes, just don t walk by yourself at night. But that s common sense if you live in any major city. And I would stay out of Anacostia :)
DC is as safe as any other major city actually safer than most. No its not a NY or LA but we do have nightlife. The nightlife here is pretty good if you know where to go. There s always something going on in the city. Certain areas are pretty safe at night but always use common sense.
DC does not have a good night life, but it isn t dangerous. Most people that live there are government officials. There are more telephones than people in DC, that should give you an idea of how great the night life is.
It s the greatest city in North America. The energy and nightlife is amazing.
Here s the Washington Post s nightlife guide to give you a taste:http://voices.washingtonpost.com/goingou
At one time in history, it was. I would not live in Washington, DC.
