What do you think of Ohio? -

I m from Ohio and never really been outside of it except for school trips and I m curious about what others thought of Ohio. What do you, as an outsider preferably, think it represents or is famous for. Like California being known for Hollywood, sunshine, and warm weather. Thanks

Others from outside of Ohio may think of the State in the following terms: OSU football (good school too!); a much sought after state in any primary or general election (for President); Cleveland (the Indians and Browns teams..not so nice city); Columbus (very nice and quaint); Cincinnati (Reds team, Proctor and Gamble,...so so city); Wrights-Patterson AFB (nice air museum); birthplace or home state of Thomas Edison, Clark Gable, Ty Cobb, Doris Day, Phylis Diller, Hugh Downs, Bob Hope John Glenn and James Lovell (astronauts), the Wrights Brothers, Robert and Wm Howard Taft, Samuel Morse, John D. Rockerfeller, General WT Sherman...many more famous Americans. What a great state that has produced many people that have shaped our country and the world.

I haven t a clue what it s known for or anything about it. I m from the UK and it s one of the lesser talked about states, just generic American. I ve been to America and it wasn t on my must see list if I m honest. Tell us some of the good things about it. Get a passport and travel, your government doesn t want you to but ignore them and come and see the world..

Ohh , I went to the north part last summer.. I thought it was NASTY. All the houses looked all old.And I heard about a lot of crimes there.. But Ive only went to a little town. So idk the rest might look spiffy?

Lame, boring and cold... I think of nothingness... and Drew Carey lol... so snow and fat people basically lol

when i think of ohio i think of corn fields and tractors and guys in overalls farming. i live in southern california.

Buckeyes.Sorry. I hate them.

others hear of ohio we r like small town..country boy cowboys...accent ...white people who r just in their own ways of living in a small town...not knowing what the city is like lol cornhuskers

What is the cheapest airport shuttle from NE Portland to PDX? -

I live in NE Portland and am only 5 or 10 (max) miles from PDX. I have a 6 AM flight so too early for the bus/max and I don t want to drive. Any tips on the cheapest way to get there, like flat rate shuttle? I can cab it for about $20 but that seems like a lot when I can hear the roar of jet engines over my head at my house. Any tips most appreciated!

Check the schedule below. MAX begins running at around 03:30. At the Rose Quarter either the 4:13am or 4:43am lines would get you to the airport by 5:11. That s probably early enough.
