Maine or Massachusetts? -

If you could choose were would you rather live?

Between the two: Massachusetts. Almost everybody I know lives in Massachusetts. There is more to do in Massachusetts than Maine, Massachusetts is also more liberal and progressive than Maine, and it is not as cold in Massachusetts than in Maine. I already live in Massachusetts, and actually, would like to live someplace warmer

Where should I visit in NYC? -

So every summer and every xmas I visit NYC with my family. Every year they leave it up to me and my brother to were we would like to visit. We always catch a Broadway show, eat at a well known restaurant, and see a museum or something. I visit NYC in about 2 weeks! And I need some ideas of what to see while there. And the decision is all up to me this year because my brother s work schedule. I dont really want to go to super touristy places. I want something that is little known and a place for locals that is still amazing! I m really wanting to find a place that has alot to do with movies. Im a freshman film student and something of that sort would be nice. Also I have heard about that big wax museum, is that all it s made out to be? Any suggestions would be awesome, and also a good restaurant! thanks!

Go visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, two landmarks of New York City. To get there by the ferry, you need to purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York.Directions to get the ferry dock:http://www.nps.gov/stli/planyourvisit/puGo visit the Empire State Building, one of the many landmarks of our city. It is located at 350 5th Avenue. To get there by MTA subway, take the 1, 2, or 3 (Seventh Avenue Lines), A, C or E (Eighth Avenue Subway) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Or take the B, D, F, N, Q, R or Path to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas.Go walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is, if I m correct, which I might not be, is the oldest structure in the city. If not the oldest structure, the oldest bridge. To get there, and walk across it, take the 4, 5, or 6 to the Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall stop. Another option would be to take the J, M, or Z to Chambers Street.Go visit Coney Island, the home of the world famous Cyclone roller coaster. The amusement park will be closed, especially in the winter time, but the aquarium is open year-round, and sometimes the pier is open, so you can get some snacks -- they have fantastic corn dogs on the pier. To get there by train, take the D, Q N or F train to Stillwell Avenue, which is the last stop. This takes about 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan, and sometimes longer, depending on where you are coming from.Go for a ride on the Circle Line. There are numerous different cruises C one is the Full Island Cruise, which takes you around Manhattan on a three-hour cruise. The Semi-Circle Cruise sets sail on a two-hour cruise down the Hudson offering a stunning panoramic of the famed New York skyline and a close-up view of Lady Liberty. The Liberty Cruise turns 75-minutes into a quick and inspirational way to see New Yorks highlights from the water. There is also a Harbor Lights Evening Cruise, which allows you to view the hotspots of New York City from the water at night. Then, there is The Beast. Its a boat that travels at forty-five miles per hour down the river to the Statue of Liberty. Both cruises are fun and informational, and are a great way to kill some time if you dont have anything to do.Here is the Circle Line schedule:http://www.circleline42.com/site/schedulCircle Line special events:http://www.circleline42.com/site/browse.Go to visit some museums. There are so many, that listing directions to all of them would be a waste of your time and my time, so instead, I will give you a list where there is a list of all the museums of New York City. You can pick some that sound interesting, and then you can find directions to that place, either from the website, or from Google, simply by typing in directions to and insert the museum you would like to go to beside it. Trinity Church, Times Square, Ground Zero, Central Park, The Statue Of Liberty, Macy s, ECT.New York City has tons of famous landmarks! Have fun exploring. The website below has a list of them details too .

East Village. China Town. Little Italy...34th St, Macy s Empire state building....ground zeroRockerfeller Center...Ice skating rink..lots of nice shops there and eats

brooklyn

1. Empire State building2. Time Square http://gonyc.about.com/library/maps/bl_t3. Rockfeller Center4. U.N Building5. Ground Zero (Twin - Tower)6. Wall Street (they are close by)7. You should definitely go ice skating in Bryant Park. You have the New York Library as your backdrop and you can see the empire state building if you just look up. You should also visit the New York Library when you re done ice skating. Not only is it a warm place to take a breather but it s absolutely gorgeous and they have a beautiful Christmas tree when you walk in.If you want some good southern cooking, you can go uptown to Southern Hospitality. It s Justin Timberlake s restaurant but because it isn t near the touristy spots, it s not crazy. I believe its at 76th street and 2nd Avenue. This way, you can learn how to ride the subway too! But it s delicious food and pretty much the same price as other New York restaurants. Try the fried chicken, corn bread, cream corn, or pulled pork. All delish!Since Central Park is so big, you should visit there. You can always find a little escape from the big city life. Just go a little more uptown and you ll find a peaceful area. Hopefully it will snow--a New York City snowfall is lovely. While you re in Central Park, you can go to the Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art). It s a huge museum though but it is a must.If you want to check out the more hip areas, you can go downtown to Union Square or Washington Square. It s hipster central down here and there are bookstores, vintage shops and small stores everywhere. Everything is tighter than midtown so you might have more luck escaping the busy life of Christmas-time tourists.A few musts - you have to see the tree at Rockefeller Center St. Patrick s Cathedral.5th Avenue--it s where all the stores are. Most people aren t shopping on 5th Avenue but it s nice to see the window displays. If you re not too cold, try a Pinkberry ice cream--very popular. You must wait in line at Magnolia Bakery--there is one right by Radio City Music Hall.

Has anyone lived in both Spokane, WA and Salt Lake City, UT? -

And if so, can you compare them for me? Like size, culture, economy, prices, all that stuff. I live in SLC and am considering moving to Spokane, but have not decided yet.Any info would be cool.

hi there, you can compare them with the first two links, click on the highlights in contents or read all the way down..more information on the last two links for you, good luck.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spokane,_WAhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_Lake_Chttp://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Salt+Lahttp://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Spokaneregards pops..

thank you.. Report Abuse

My husband grew up in SLC and half his family is still there, but he has lived in Spokane for ten years now. SLC is MUCH larger than Spokane... they are not comparable cities at all. However, we both love Spokane and chose to raise our family here. If you want any specific info on Spokane, you can message me and I will try to help you out. I know it can be hard to get good relevant info on other places.

Best neighborhoods in New York City? -

I m looking to move to NYC and I want to know what are some of the better neighborhoods. More specifically ones that aren t in Manhattan. If you could include demographics and/or median family income that d be appreciated.

Well, the link below is to a very good webpage about Brooklyn Heights, one of the best neighborhoods in Brooklyn, and the links on the left side of that page will take you to good webpages about some other neighborhoods, too...Good luck!

if you move to brooklyn, i Highly recommend park slope. It gives you a real nyc feeling. very nice neighborhood its near prospect parkso near prospect park is the best place to live. Wow.summer, fall, winter, spring, all beautiful there. If not that, then I would say Bay Ridge, near Verrazano Bridge or Shore Road. You will love it also.those are the top 2, good people and you don t have to make loads to live there, median income.

Outside of Manhattan, Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, and Riverdale are the nicest neighborhoods.Astoria, Long Island City, Williamsburg, and Woodside are also worth considering.

Are those cards featuring scantily clad women that people on the Las Vegas Strip give you, for prostitutes? -

Because prostitution IS legal in some parts of Nevada, it s a common myth among tourists that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas. Plus, Las Vegas has earned the nickname Sin City ; which reinforces the myth.GIRLS TO YOUR ROOM is a big business that makes a lot of money. Las Vegas residents tried to get rid of them at one time (citing them as a constant nuisance on the strip) but lost in court. The court ruled that their activity is protected by the constitution as long as they remain on public property.Because of their notoriety and how well they re doing; I seriously doubt that the company would risk being associated with prostitution. My take on it is that they know half the guys walking the strip mistakenly think prostitution is legal in Las Vegas and they are exploiting that. What they re really offering is exactly what their t-shirts say, GIRLS DIRECT TO YOUR ROOM IN 20 MINUTES. The sucker tourist thinks that s a euphemism for prostitution. Even people answering this question think that. I don t think that, again, because it would put them out of business. I would bet that undercover cops have posed as tourists and called for GIRLS TO THEIR ROOMS.I think what you get is a girl to your room. That s it. Like ordering a pizza but without the pizza. 100.000 tourists visit Las Vegas every day. Even if only 1 out of 10 thinks prostitution is legal, that gives the GIRLS TO YOUR ROOM people 10,000 potential new customers each day.The real prostitutes in Las Vegas are flirting with guys in casino bars, walking around between Planet Hollywood and the MGM Grand in short skirts, smoking crack in front of Atomic Liquors on East Fremont, and advertising on the Internet as escorts.

They are for strippers . And they will strip you...down to nothing. It s a little shady, but, certainly not criminal. They make all their money based on the fact that silly guys are expecting that something sexual will happen. The guys keep paying and anticipating sex. The customers seem to forget that prostitution is illegal in the city of Las Vegas. After watching a so-so strip show and forking over several hundreds of dollars, the customer is brought back to reality as he watches the girl pack up and leave. This almost scam is run by out-call and massage parlors all over Las Vegas. There s nothing that can be done since the paying customer was committing a crime in exchanging money for what he thought would be sex. It s a very lucrative business. There will be money exchanged, there will be a beautiful woman, but, there will NOT be sex. For prostitution you must go to a brothel.

No, those women are actually their mothers-in-law. Them Mexicans sure love to show off how hot their mother-in-law is. Yes, they will come to your room, and you can touch and feel for yourself it s the genuine article... for a small fee ifcourse.

Prostitution is NOT legal in Vegas but those ladies could offer you something for a large amount of money, something like VD you will take home. IF you want to partake then drive to Pahrump an hour away for legal brothels

allegedly strippers, and escorts. but you might be able to work something out with one of the ladies. never actually called though. they are probably ugly and the chick on the picture doesnt even work there

Legally they are selling entertainment and escorts. If you and the girl do an extra transaction on the side, it is illegal in Clark County.

They re for escorts or prostitutes.

Just ads for strip clubs or escorts.

Just strip clubs my dear, you ll have to go to the ranch for that

Yes they are.

What do YOU think?

minkus, yes they are .
