Which is faster car or train from Seattle to Spokane? -

Have you checked Amtrak? There s passenger service between the two. In that case car would be much faster. The other person who answered that it would be too risky to take a train, hasn t driven the mountains of the Pacific Northwest in the winter. Here s a link:http://tickets.amtrak.com/itd/amtrak

car, train is too risky and the stops make car faster,

How to be a GOLDDIGGER or GOLD DIGGER? -

gold digger (noun. Informal) - A woman who seeks money and expensive gifts from men.So basically you marry a rich man.Don t worry about it though. If you are not a legal resident of the US, you can t come live here anyway without the proper papers (and that process can take YEARS!!)So have fun looking for gold diggers in Singapore.

sure whatever you want to do, go for it... Speedy hasn t learned anything since his other profile got deleted still answers the same stupid way and is a possible point gamer.

Is it possible to rent out a small part of the beach, park or marina for at least 50 people in San Diego? -

It is for a wedding reception and I don t want anything too fancy. It would be for April 18 th 2010.

Absolutely YES! We did this in 2004 at Crown Point. Here s the proof. My wife made this little 7 minute video of her son s wedding. You can fast forward to the 4:00 minute if you don t want to watch the whole thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6GFFMWEDThe Park Recreation Department s rules allow you to have a gathering of less than 50 people without a permit. We reported 49. People come and go all the time so you really can t get an accurate count. You see by the video we had dancing with a DJ and special seating during the wedding. We even brought in a large Rockwell generator for power. We had no problems at all.email me if you have any other questions I can help you with.

It is definitely possible. You will need to get a permit. For information contact (619) 235-1160.Presidio Park would be an ideal location. Another favorite is Seagrove Park in Del Mar. Call (858) 755-1524 for Del Mar info..

Universal Studios or Disney Land? -

It s just me and my parents, and I m a teen.My parents don t like rides. Bumpy rides and crazy rides are usually not their thing. But I wanna have the most fun. Which one is betterrr?

Both are good. Disneyland is the #1 destination in SoCal, and Universal is #2. Disneyland has a fantasy world type of theme to it, where Universal emphasizes the movie business. I think that you would enjoy both, since you can have quite a fun time without going on any crazy rides. If you go to Disneyland, I would avoid Indiana Jones Adventure, since it shakes you around a lot. Rides like Star Tours are borderline, since you do move around a little bit inside a simulator, but it doesn t make you sick or anything. It s quite a fun adventure. You might want to also stay off Space Mountain. It moves around in the dark quite a bit. I can t ride fast coasters too much because I m getting older and get nauseous more easily, but this one is still fun without making me sick. Thunder Mountain is not terribly fast either. I would avoid the Matterhorn. It s a bit jerky, since it was designed many years ago, before computers designed coasters. Other than that, you should enjoy the rest of the rides.Universal has a lot of shows, and some rides that are rather thrilling. The Simpsons ride, like Star Tours, is a simulation that moves you around a lot, but never really goes anywhere. All the rest are generally stationary except for Jurassic Park, but that doesn t go very fast at all.Either way, you ll have a lot of fun.

Universal Studios the rides arent big or crazy of anything at all! but it is fun and gr8 for a family thing Disney Land is only good f you like lines and go during a schoool day...the best in my opinion is magic mountain(six flags) but thats crazy rides and better to go with friends unless your parents like crazy rides witch you said they dont...

Id say for adults and yourself universal studios would be more interesting. disney land has more of the ride themes and is kind of more for either couples or families with young children. but i guess it s for everyone. but UNiversal has some rides that you will like and also a lot of rides that are just on a tram and don t do the twists and jerky movements. so yeah i recomend universal. good lucks

I personally like Disney, and Disney has rides at all thrill levels. Universal is mostly Intense rollercasters. (you d probably like it) it d do you good to do a google search on each park. Maybe split up your trip and go to both.

DisneyLand is great family fun. The rides are fun and not scary. The food is great. Lots of shopping for mom. The Fireworks show and and Fantasmic are amazing! And people are so friendly, you might meet a cool group of teens to tag a long with for some of the more thrilling rides. :)

What makes for a great expirience for going to VEGAS at age 21 with my buds? -

Any places in particular that you would recommend, or stuff that you did. Also how much did the trip cost you in the end?

You pick the cheapest room rate because you won t spend that much time in the room. You set a daily gambling amount and stick to it or in one day you could spend all your money. You realize that as wonderful as clubbing is it could cost you several hundreds just for one visit. You enjoy a long, leisurely buffet. You enjoy the eye candy. Know that prostituion is illegal in Vegas; the closest legal bordello is in Pahrump an hour drive away. Join the players club for invite back. Do not get so intoxicated you cannot control your own safety. And have fun

A decent but cheap hotel somewhere like Excalibur is clean cheap and cheerful, set yourself a gambling limit as it is very easy to blow it when you re drunk, go to Carnaval Court at Harrah s for partying with flair bartenders, Check out a few strip clubs, while prostitution is illegal in Vegas, most hotels let it go and there are some good looking hookers in every hotel bar from about 10pm onwards.Have fun!

Spend an hour at Olympic Garden then get a massage at one of those Asian massage places. Don t get drunk. You ll throw away money foolishly and then feel like crap the next day.

Anyone booked concert tickets through MGM Players Club? -

I got an offer from MGM Player Club for a free three night stay and buy one get one free tickets to a show. When I reserved the tickets I asked what section they were in and they told me the tickets would be in their VIP Block of tickets...anyone booked tickets through them before?? Know where the VIP Block is in the MGM Grand Garden Arena?

The VIP block of tickets at the MGM Grand Garden Arena are definitlely great seats. They are lower level seats. Everything you see in Yellow from this seating chart. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/seating-cYou didn t mention what show you are seeing but if your ticket is for KA, that is not at the Garden Arena but at the KA theatre and the VIP seats in that theatre is Section 102http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/show.php

Whats with the crappy roads of Chicago? -

So the boys in blue are getting upgrades from Crown Vics to Tahoes, theres a bunch of revenue from the sale of Midway, the parking meters and let s not forget those photo sensor traffic lights... but the roads are all banged up. There s needless construction going on everywhere and a bunch of stimulus package money that just came in. Everywhere you go, you see a barricade next to a giant hole. What is going on???

You are so sadly mistaken my friend. We, the people of America, were promised that if we elect a certain man, our roads and infra structure would be rebuilt. That was last year. We are now one year into this administration. That means we are 25% into it. Our roads must now be either 25% more repaired or 25% smoother. It is whichever you choose it to be. Surely a politician would not lie to us. Would he?

Your politicians are using the money to live lavishly, and vacay. The giant holes you see with barricades next to them are from car accidents because you Chicagoans can t drive.

Chicago would have better roads if all vehicles had to pay to park on them at night. There are many garages that are filled with junk, not cars. There are many cars that don t work that sit on the street at night. Snow plowing and street cleaning are nightmares when they are filled with parked cars. I agree that crummy repairs are done, but our climate of very cold and wet in winter, and very hot in summer torture the roads.

contractors are getting paid big money to pave roads and do a bad job so they have to be called back to fix them every 6 months

Hey....it s Chicago.

How much many will I need....? -

- Rent ( One bedroom/two bedroom in Beverly Hills,Santa Monica, San Francisco, San Diego)- Food- Internet/Cellphone- Public Transportation ( monthly ) I WILL NOT HAVE A CAR- Taxes ( monthly) - Bills ( For two people )In L.A :) I just want to have an idea of what I should be spectating once I move there

1. Research on Craigslist, if you can not do at least that much then you are not ready to be out living on your own.2. Depends on your eating habits. Want to go out every night? Will you use coupons at Ralphs? Costco membership? 3. Depends on what calling plan you opt for. Sprint has an Everything plan for $99.00. Same as if you lived in New Mexico or Florida. Time Warner Cable high speed internet is around 48 bucks or so. 4. No car? You need to not move to Los Angeles then. 5. Depends on what you earn.6. What bills? How can we possibly know what your bills will be?You shouldn t even entertain the thought of moving to Los Angeles because it is clear you will struggle trying survive there.

Rent: $1200 per month for a 1 BR place in a decent area. BH and Santa Monica are much higher, $1500-$2000. Check westsiderentals.com and craigslist.Food: Up to you. Figure $150 per week.Internet:Which is it? Internet through the phone or cable company runs about $33 to $50. A cell phone with data plan costs about $40 for the phone and $30 for the data plan.Transportation: No car? Be prepared for a VERY tough time. Let me put it this way: Living in LA without a car can be done, but it s like swimming to Catalina. After doing it for a couple hours, you wonder why the h3ll you didn t just take the boat. Monthly bus pass depends on whether you are a student. Check out www.metro.net for prices.Taxes: What sort of taxes are you talking about? Property taxes? none. Sales tax is added to everything you buy, and it depends on the city and county. Some areas are up close to 10%.Bills: Isn t that what we were just discussing? It all depends on the apartment complex where you live. Some include utilities such as gas, electricity, and water. Others don t. Other bills you might have to deal with:ElectricityGasWaterCable/TV/InternetPhone (land line)

Taking into consideration what Gray and OM have already said, just figure that your combined incomes should at least total 45K or higher. I d lean a little more to the higher side because one of you might want to live a little more extravagantly than the other one. Like buy a car? Use a better grade of TP, etc.

Futuristic Arizona mall? -

In Gabriel Iglesias comedy skits, he refers to a Futuristic mall in Phoenix, AZ. I live in Mesa, and I wanted to visit it. Does anyone know what mall he was talking about? Or, is it just something he made up/embellished for the joke?

It could be Estrella Falls Mall in Goodyear. It s looking like it will not be built for several more years.http://localism.com/az/goodyearMore about the mall. This is an older article.http://www.ci.goodyear.az.us/Archive.asphttp://www.azcentral.com/community/swval

He probably embellished for the joke, knowing him! X)He was probably saying the malls hes been to before weren t like Az s malls, and that was the best way he knew how to describe it lolWho knows what he considers fact or fiction? ;) hahaha

He s probably talking about the failed biosphere project.

Where in New York is a good spot or common spot for models to be quot;discoveredquot;? -

Is there anywhere in particular/more common or is it just randomany input helps

While there are random people who are discovered (Kate Moss, Gisele), it s actually the toughest way as you have no way of knowing where a scout is going to be. They don t go to specific places - people are scouted when an agent might happen to see a potential model when they are on the subway on their way home from work, or at the grocery store, or in a restaurant or out walking their dog, or running in Central Park - basically just getting on with their daily lives. One model on our books was scouted when she and her mom were at the Clinique counter in Macys and one of the agents happened to be there buying some foundation at the same time. Had the agent arrived 5 minutes earlier or later, that specific model would never have been found. The agent didn t specifically go to Macys looking for models - it was just about being in the right place at the right time. If you want to be discovered, YOU have to be proactive. Call around to the agencies to find out when they are holding open calls - some of the big agencies hold weekly open calls and they ll tell you on the spot if you are model material or not. If they don t hold open calls, then ask how you can send in your pictures - by mail or email (some like Wilhelmina require you to mail in pictures, others like Ford and Elite take online submissions). These are the main mens agencies in NY http://models.com/agencies/top-men/ - send in pictures or attend open calls at as many as possible to increase your chances

AS LJ just pointed out, it s a huge myth that gets a few dozen or even hundreds of naive newbies in trouble each month, each year. If they re lucky they only get scammed out of a little bit of money for their stupidity. If they re really unlucky or lacking in common sense, they end up nude or in porn or in some other highly compromised position. This instant discovery fantasy is just not the way the industry works. Successful models are just like successful businesses. A lot of start up capital was needed, and a lot of hustle and perseverance in the industry over a few years time. Overnight success takes a minimum 10 years, so educate yourself and settle in.

The idea that someone would just be discovered is the stuff of movies and fantasy. This is just not the way it happens in real life.In real life, people wanting a career in tv, movies, music, modeling, etc., etc. work hard to get discovered . They get agents, spend money on good photos, and go to auditions. No one is just discovered . You really have to work at a career.
