Can I get a tan in Florida at the end of December? -

I am going to Orlando and Miami, Florida for a week at the end of December. We will be outside literally all day when the sun is out, but no neccisarily at the beach. like we re gonna go to some tourist things, and then maybe the beach for a day or two. I was really hoping to get a tan because its snowing where i live! So is it possible? Thanks! Btw I tan really easy and never burn. I have medium skin

You will definitely be able to get a tan as long as the weather Gods keep the rain away and the sun shinning. I live in Sunny Isles Beach and the sun is still intense everyday with our usual temperature in the 80 s so you should have no problems when coming here. Keep in mind that if you are going to the beach, while the afternoon rays are the best at trying to get a tan, the beaches are on the East Coast so you will have to get the sun rays in the morning. Many parts of Miami are blocked because of the tall sky scrappers and prevent the Western sunlight from penetrating in parts of the city.I work at a condo and many of the residents spend most of their time in New York and other places and when they come to Miami, they soak up the sun and are very tan within the first day of their arrival.But overall you should be fine and I hope you will enjoy your stay in our city and our state.

All car rentals places at LAX have free shuttle service to and from the airport. Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise, Thrifty, Budget. When you arrive just go outside to the overhead sign that says Car Rental Shuttles.

There s not a lot you can do on that budget, but some places that are romantic and fun for a couple days are the Malibu Beach Inn and then dinner at Beaurivage, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Big Bear, and Catalina Island. If you want to stay local, you might get a room at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica and spend the entire day in. The rooms are beautiful and cozy with jacuzzi tubs and all that which is nice.

If that s the total, you re talking the hourly motel down in San Pedro, and a walking tour of the Queen Mary (which is free).I ve seen the Golden Bear Cottages in Big Bear... they keep sending me emails about last-minute deals. This would be a great time to rent a cabin for snuggling up with your significant other.Or you could go south to San Diego... LOTS of hotels there, and you could go to Balboa Park, the zoo, Sea World, etc.Good luck.

I would probably try something in Cambria (a littles ways from San Luis Obispo).It s beautiful there. Very romantic.And since it s not LA or San Fran, you might get a better deal$300 doesn t go far when you at least $125 a night for hotel ($100 +$25 taxes)

I have heard that Mears have the monopoly on Orlando taxis - does this mean they are the best company to choose? Which other taxi companies are good for people visiting Orlando? Yellow Cabs seem to have some negative reviews too - do you know why?

Mears is the best way to go. They are affiliated with Disney now, so they are kept to the high customer service standards that Disney sets. I have used them multiple times, and would use no other service.

I ve heard good things about Mears and Tiffany Town Car.There is another town car or limo service that I can t think of right now. Seems like it is a common guy s name.

im from connecticut and i got a uk account by accident but i want to know if i have an accent???

I live in Salt Lake City but grew up in Stamford, CT. I m always told here that I have an Eastern sounding accent, but people don t always guess Connecticut. Stamford is close to NYC, so there is a slight New Yorkish accent, but not as strong. I have met people out here who have a heavy NY accent...mine is only slight.(p.s....you say you have an uk account ...did you mean an English accent?...I lived in Birmingham, AL for awhile and not everyone who spent their lifetime there had a strong Southern accents...so accents can be interesting. If you ve never been to England and have an English accent in CT...that s very interesting.)

you can t get near universal studios on the i drive trolley the i drive trolley is for international drive only, and universal is not on i drive, u ll either need to get a cab which will be $10 - $15 or find out if your hotel does a special shuttle service, or you could also ask at the hotel if there is a special universal bus that you can get from i drive!!
