Is Florida a bad place to raise your children? -

Debating on staying in florida or moving to Washington state...what do you guys think?Basically its Hurricanes (Florida) vs Snow Storms (Washington state)

I grew up back and forth between Tennessee and Florida, I liked Florida better , the schools were better, my parents had better jobs and people were less stuck up.

That really depends on what your needs are.First Florida is a large state. You have to decide if you want to live near the coast or inland. Just take your time and write a list of what you like and what you don t like about each living situation. If you have never been to Florida, then a trip may be in order. This won t tell you a lot, but you will at least get a feel for it.Look at the website for all of the cities that interest you. Use youtube and google to find virtual tours.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi8b8mcwcAlso a good idea to check out chat rooms for those cities that interest you.Ask to locals.Good luck

Florida also has skunk apes, wild chimps, and sea monsters, while Washington state has giant cephalopods. I say Washington.

it depends on where in florida..just like in any state.
