Good places to ski, snowboard, tube, etc around Allentown, PA? -

We are visiting PA for the first time to tour Penn State but that will only take a few hours and then we plan to head to the east side of the state because we have friends over there, but we dont necessarily need to have our hotel RIGHT next to their house. We want to stay in a regular hotel, not a resort, but we want to be within a decent distance of some kind of place that will rent us skis or whatnot, because were from the south where we don t get snow...so that s kinda what we were planning on doing while up there. But what else could we do? Is there anything else thats fun to do in PA? Thanks =]

Camelback is the first place to come to mind, but here are others:http://www.townliving.com/recreation/skiBear Creek Mountain is closer to Allentown- bcmountainresort.comAs far as other things to do: Martin Guitar ( Nazareth, Pa) gives free tours, Crayola Factory in Easton is nice if you have kids, There are outlets in Reading, and if you want to travel a little farther- Lancaster ( Amish, trains, outlets, and more) Hershey s Chocolate World in Hershey, and also Philadelphia and New York City aren t too faryou could check out fieldtrip.com to find more places -- http://www.fieldtrip.com/pa/free-pa.htmI m sure your friends that you are visiting can also recommend other places, as well hope this helps!

Where is family friendly living in hawaii? -

we have 2 kids and want easy adjustment-peace-tranquility-everything that is missing here in obx.

Your best bet-1. Ko olina2. Makakilo/Kapolei3. MililaniAll of those places are on Oahu, haven t lived on any other island so I wouldn t know of any good places to live. I was born and raised in Makakilo on Oahu though, great place to raise your kids. You can let them play outside until dark, nothing will happen. Neighbors are usually friendly, actually almost everyone in Hawaii is. But Ko olina is a HUGE gated community, a lot of mainland people move there (I ve babysat for numerous families living there.) The beach is 2 minutes away from everything and the freeway is right off the entrance.

Can New Jersey residents With a handicap permit park in New York City...If so can we park on any street? -

2 Police officers said I could park anywhere I wanted to...

Genuine, as in officially issued Handicap Parking Permits are valid just about everywhere including overseas. There are certain things they do not ever allow someone to do like park at a fire hydrant or in a fire zone. Other than that they do let you get away with murder....so to speak. NYC does have something called alternate side parking and I doubt you d get away with parking on the WRONG side however.

I believe the handicap parking permits are nationwide and not limited to just the state they were issued in, unlike driver s permits.

Which is the best outlet center near the Los Angeles / Hollywood area? -

I am going to LA / Hollywood last week of december. Do you know a good outlet center not very far? I guess my shopping will be focused on clothing mostly.

I would stay away from the Commerce one. They are not outlet stores. You might as well go to the mall and pay the full price. I do not see any sales there. The Barstow one which is a couple of hours away have a couple outlet malls therer.

The only outlet center within a short drive is the Citadel Outlet center. Just take I-5 to Commerce. The others in the area, such as Camarillo, Cabazon (my favorite), and Barstow/Lenwood (my second fav), are a bit of a drive. Since you ll be in the area, why not check out Santee Alley for deals? It s downtown, south of Olympic between Maple and Santee. Check out fashiondistrict.org for more info.

The Citadel Outlets in Commerce are the only outlet stores in LA. http://www.citadeloutlets.com/It should take you about 20-25 minutes to get there from the Hollywood area without any major traffic. The outlets are about 15 miles from the Hollywood area.

How old do you have to be to stay in a hotel? -

18 to rent a room

There is no age limit to STAY in a hotel, as long as you re with an adult. To rent out a room, you have to be 19 in Canada- I m not sure if it s 18, 19, or 21 in your area, but you could ask someone you know.

18.....legally an adult
