My mother always brings her headphones and Ipod to distract her she also chews gum when the plane takes off. This seems to help her. Also, I m sure your fiance would be an excellent help of be support ask him if he wouldn t mind you squeezing his hand if you got nervous or something. Or maybe have him help calm your fears by squeezing yours. Other then that I d speak to a dr. Hope this helps.
Just remember that you are in more danger in the car on the way to the airport. If you can get into a car with all the other yahoos out there driving 3000 pound vehicles around you can get on a plane with trained pilots.
Don t sleep for hours and when you get on the plane - you will likely fall alseep from bring tire and when you wake up, have a shot or two.. or get some pills from your doctors. If not, watch some movies.
Ask your doctor for a sedative to help keep you calm. You should also tell your fiance so he can support you.
Tell your doc. He will give you a script of valium. Easy on the drinks though. My sister gets them and they work for her.
