How long is a car drive from San Francisco, Cali to Toronto, Ontario? -
Which hotel casino resort on the Las Vegas strip do you think they should demolish? -
The casinos that were purchased with the intent of tearing them down were Imperial Palace and Bill s Gaming Hall. The corporation has now decided that IP is much more profitable doing minimal upgrades. Right now, since the companies would rather that the Frontier and Stardust were still intact there doesn t seem to be any obvious candidates.-----Four years ago an almost complete implosion of the north strip was being called for. That is the Frontier, Stardust, Circus Circus, and The Riviera. The Stardust would be kept inact but greatly expanded. Despite some impressive land deals, the entire region is in chaos. Carl Icahn will try and jumpstart the Fountainbleau project, but he might also seal off the building for years before he finishes it off.------With the City Center opening, and the purchase of Planet Hollywood by Harrah s, there is increasing focus on a cross strip along Harmon Avenue. The plan is to connect the two parts of Harmon Avenue over the railroad tracks so that the cross strip goes from The Palms to the Hard Rock casino.
Imperial Palace or Tropicana. Not going to happen for quite some time. It is the lower priced hotels that are doing better than the high priced fancy ones. With every new resort built pushes the other properties further down the list of classy properties. I remember when Excalibur was the best on the strip. Now it is an economy place stay.
I can see them demolishing wild bills, the flamingo, imperial palace and harrah s and putting up another mega resort. Granted this won t happen any time soon but I can see this evetually happening. I also wouldn t be surprise to see circus-circus and slots of fun fall to the way side.
the tropicana should stay there for a long time. i love that place.they should demolish T.I. just for changing it from treasure island.
None at this time due to the economy. It would just leave a hole in the Strip, an eyesore.
Flamingo
city center. just too big and there is no reason to go there.
What is Phoenix Arizona like for a teenager? -
I have lived in AZ my whole life. I just graduated HS and I would say that the people are not that different than those from other states. There is a wide variety of people, just be true to yourself and connect with people similar to yourself. Don t be be swayed by others. Overall, I think it is a good place to live. I have learned a lot and have some great memories. Don t forget things will take time though. Just keep a positive attitude and everything will fall into place.
I have been to AZ quite a few times in the million years I ve been on this planet.Teenagers there are pretty much like teenagers everywhere else. But keep in mind that everyone is different. Chances are, you ll find someone you ll get along with. And, chances are, you ll find someone you don t.There are stereotypical groups, as there are anywhere. The high Mexican population constitutes the presence of Cholos and Cholas , or people who think they are. These are like, gangsters, sorta? Just be watchful. Don t say or do anything to upset a person. Mind your own business and keep to yourself. Ignore crude students as often as possible. Don t draw so much attention to yourself! These are just ways to ensure your safety. I would suggest you use them for that purpose. Good luck at your new school! Keep in touch with your old friends, too. :]
You mean Phx or the metro area? It s 9,000 sq miles, so its really big. There s 35 towns around it. But there s alot to do, nothing less or more than other places though. You will get used to it. You may notice that it s newer looking
I think in Phoenix it was very cool. LOTS of thinks to do after school.
Umm, it sucks? During most of the year it s hot. Then there is about 1 month of extreme cold. That s pretty much it (:

THIS IS WHAT THE COMEDIAN JEFF FOXWORTHY HAS TO SAY ABOUT LIVING IN Washington State and Seattle: If someone in a Home Depot store offers you assistance and they don t work there, you live in Washington. If you ve worn shorts, sandals and a parka at the same time, you live in Washington . If you ve had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed the wrong number, you live in Washington . If you measure distance in hours, you live in Washington . If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you live in Washington. If you know more people who own boats than air conditioners, you live in Washington. If you stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the Walk signal, you live in Washington .If you consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, it is not a real mountain, you live in Washington. If you can taste the difference between Starbucks, Seattle s Best, and Dutch Bros, you live in Washington. If you know the difference between Chinook, Coho and Sockeye salmon, you live in Washington. If you know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup, Abiqua, Issaquah, Oregon, Umpqua, Yakima and Willamette, you live in Washington. If you consider swimming an indoor sport, you live in Washington.. If you have actually used your mountain bike on a mountain, you live in Washington. If you think people who use umbrellas are either wimps or tourists, you live in Washington. If you buy new sunglasses every year, because you cannot find the old ones after such a long time, you live in Washington.. If you actually understand these jokes and forward them to all your Washington friends, you live or have lived in Washington
Where should I plan a trip? -
Consider South Lake Tahoe. It s a mini-Las Vegas with clean air, scenary, skiing, and no sleeze factor.http://www.bluelaketahoe.com/http://www.harveystahoe.com/casinos/harvhttp://www.harrahslaketahoe.com/casinos/If you get tired of the snow you can drive over to Carson City, Reno, or Virgina City Nevada. The Sunday brunch at Harrah s Forest Buffet is one of the best I ve every been to. It s on the top floor and has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and lake.http://www.harrahslaketahoe.com/casinos/The Vikingsholm Home Castle is an interesting tour.http://www.vikingsholm.com/tours.htmlEhrman Mansionhttp://www.tahoecountry.com/oldtimetahoeHike to Eagle Fallshttp://www.tripwiser.com/trip_thing_to_dHeavenly has a gondola ride.http://www.skiheavenly.com/lake_tahoe/thTake a riverboat cruise and dinner on the lakehttp://www.zephyrcove.com/cruises/index.Sutter s Mill is day trip down U.S. 50. It s also a nice drive along the American River. It passes through Strawberry CA. which has a lodge that was a stagecoach stop.http://www.coloma.com/http://www.strawberrylodge.com/Virginia City is an interesting day trip. Made famous from the TV show Bonanza, it was the center of the Comstock Lode, the biggest silver strike in history. They have an old steam locomotive mining railroad you can ride and you can tour the actual mines. The city looks like it did in the late 1800 s, complete with wooden sidewalks, saloons, gambling halls, and boot hill.http://www.virginiacity-nv.org/info.aspx
How long does the M60 bus take to go from LGA to 106th and Broadway, on a Wednesday morning @ about 8:20? -
The average time is 56 minutes. Good luck!
The train from end to end take between 60 and 90 minutes. Bus trip in Queens is okay, however, once in Harlem, it is usually stop-and-go traffic, specially during rush hour. The bus travel along 125th Street from the RFK Bridge (formerly the Triborough Bridge) to Amsterdam Avenue. Once on Amsterdam Avenue the bus travel at normal traffic speed all the way to Broadway and 106th Street. Please note, there are very few seats on the M60 bus. However, there is a luggage rack at the rear of the bus, where you can place you luggage on while on the bus. I would highly recommend, when using the luggage rack, to please keep an eye you your luggage at all times.I hope this infomration is very helpful.Good luckNative New Yorker
