Would you like to see more sculptures in Chicago? -

Like, just more sculptures and statues all over, on street corners, etc.? Statues of different Chicago icons, like Oprah?

No. There are a lot of ugly sculptures in Chicago. Just check Daley Plaza. A sculpture of Oprahwould be the worst thing that could happen, she is a disgusting pig.

No and Yes.No to iconic sculptures like you are talking about unless they are done tastefully. TV Land has sponsored tv inspired statues all over the US. On Michigan Avenue there used to be a Bob Newhart scuplture with a couch but I inderstand this caused too many pedestrian flow back ups. The statue is now located in the fountain park across from Navy Pier. An Oprah statue in the West Loop neighborhood near Harpo Studios would make sense.I would prefer more public works art like the Picasso and Miro, the Flamingo and the Calders in the Sears Tower, the bat column in front the the Harold Washington Building on Madison. And don t forget the newest Chicago Icons - Cloud Gate aka The Bean and the faces of Crown Fountain. These are outstanding works that have made Chicago a world wide attraction. More of those are certainly a good thing.

In a word, no. Especially Oprah.

No

no way, but if they were to do any they should do one in honor of Anton LaVey

No, i don t want to trip over them.

Good picture spots in Las Vegas? -

I am visiting Vegas in february. I like photography and would like to get some good shots there. Anybody know any good viewpoints of the strip? I noticed the Mandalay bay is at the end of the strip near a lot of he more interesting looking casino s. Is there a viewpoint on it?

Here s the view from a Mandalay Bay strip view room: http://www.urbanphotos.net/images/las_veIf you can get into the Foundation Room, there s a similar view from up there.Other good spots are the top of the Stratosphere, and parking garage rooftops. I have over 4,000 Las Vegas photos I ve shot during the past 18 years posted at my web site http://www.urbanphotos.netIf you want to know where I shot any of them from, you can email me from the web site and I ll tell you. Unless I forgot, which is possible.

There is no observation deck on Mandalay Bay if that is what you are referring to. But in my opinion, the best photographs of Vegas are taken at night when it is all lit up. It is not nearly as impressive in the daylight, so be prepared to take night shots. There is an observation deck on the Stratosphere and on the Eiffel Tower at Paris. The interiors of hotels like the Venetian, Caesars, Wynn and Luxor are great as well as New York-New York. Generally speaking, you need to know how to take photos in artificial light indoors and nighttime outdoors. Don t forget the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. *

Only if you are staying there. The best spots to take general photos of the strip are from the pedestrian crosswalks across the Strip. Another good spot is the Brooklyn bridge at the NYNY. Also the third floor of the Coca Cola shop. If you don t mind paying for it the view from the top of the Eiffel tower at the Paris has a great view. And at the south side entrance of the Bellagio there is an overview from the top of the stairs looking towards the fountain show. And the balcony of the Venetian. Those are my favorite spots.

The Spinx at LuxorTHe Las VEgas sign, just a few hundred feet south of Mandalay Bay on LV Blvd. And the most popular place for photos these days, Las VEgas Gold and Silver, on LV Blvd make one mile north of the Strat on LV Blvd. The TV show pawn stars is filmed there. Man, this place is packed with tourists taking photos in recent months.

The best is the top of parking lots OR 101 stories high at the top of Stratosphere. Other good views/pictures are fountains at Bellagio, volcano at Mirage, pirate ship at Treasure Island, lion at MGM Mirage, Manhattan rollercoast on and off at NYNY, the entrance to Venetian, and the entire front of NYNY, and the outside of Luxor, the pyramid.

Head to the observation deck of the Stratosphere Hotel and you ll get some spectacular shots of the strip. Go at night because Las Vegas looks so much more beautiful at night with everything lit up.

The top spots are the Mirage Volcano, Bellagio Water Fountains, The garden area inside the Bellagio, Paris Hotel is good. Pictures inside the venetian hotel is awesome and the Wynn hotel!

if you happen to be at the airport when the sun is rising you can get some cool pictures of the luxor pyramid with the sun comming up on it

The Siegfried and Roy statue!

My class is going on a field trip to Faneuil Hall monday so how much money should i bring? -

i ve been there before but im not going to be with my parents so i don t want to end up bringing not enough money

$20-30 if you want to get something to eat, for a day trip to Faneuil Hall.

On a class field trip you will be busy and have little need for money. If you are to buy lunch you will be told before the trip. Other than that , save the money and stay out of temptation to spend it.

You will need at least 20-30$ luch will cost you almost 8$ and the rest could be for spending. Good Luck! :)

Me and my friend need to find a few regular, relaxed place to go to in NYC? -

My friend is visiting me from Staten Island. I live in Coney Island and I dont think theres much to do here. If there is, I ve done it all. Where around NYC (brooklyn and manhattan) can me and my friend go to just relax for a few hours. We travel mostly by train and we dont need any high priority spots like the Empire State Building or central park. Just some small, regular hang-out spots we can travel to and enjoy ourselves. Fun places. Places to eat etc. Anything come to mind? I m interested in any answer...

Downtown, the South Street Seaport is a fun spot. lots of stores and interesting architecture if you re drinking there are 4am bars like Fresh Salt or Paris cafe. Besides the obvious nautical related things to look at, you can google your own walking tours of downtown. Theres a good on on Edgar Allan Poes job search that ends in the South St Seaport (seaport area is the closest you will ever get to seeing what Manhattan looked like in the 1800s) Lower East Side has a lot of cool stuff going on shops and cafes. My favorite spot to eat there is Zucco: Le French Diner on Orchard Street near Houston or The Wall, on Orchard street near Grand st
