Downtown, the South Street Seaport is a fun spot. lots of stores and interesting architecture if you re drinking there are 4am bars like Fresh Salt or Paris cafe. Besides the obvious nautical related things to look at, you can google your own walking tours of downtown. Theres a good on on Edgar Allan Poes job search that ends in the South St Seaport (seaport area is the closest you will ever get to seeing what Manhattan looked like in the 1800s) Lower East Side has a lot of cool stuff going on shops and cafes. Me and my friend need to find a few regular, relaxed place to go to in NYC? -
My friend is visiting me from Staten Island. I live in Coney Island and I dont think theres much to do here. If there is, I ve done it all. Where around NYC (brooklyn and manhattan) can me and my friend go to just relax for a few hours. We travel mostly by train and we dont need any high priority spots like the Empire State Building or central park. Just some small, regular hang-out spots we can travel to and enjoy ourselves. Fun places. Places to eat etc. Anything come to mind? I m interested in any answer...
