Has anyone been through Tooele, Utah? -

I might go see my g-ma down there.

Tooele is a town about 20 min. west of Salt Lake City. Most of the people that live there commute to SLC to work. It has been a while sense I was last there, but I know they have a WalMart and fast food restaurants like Wendy s and McDonald s, but I don t know what else. It s not a bad place to visit, but I wouldn t live there, but that s just my opinion.

Sure, I ve been through Tooele many times. But here s a question for you. Have you ever hearda Erda?

small town about 30 miles from SLC... expect snow

Where can I buy a New Orleans Saints sweater? -

Its getting chilly up here in Miami so I need a good sweater (for men) and I decided I want a Saints sweater.

http://www.saintsshop.com/saints/home.ph

Go to either Football Fanatics or Saints Shop to buy a Saints sweater, or any Saints merchandise in general. Whatever you do, do not shop at the NFL s official shop, because they charge way too much. Football Fanatics and Saints Shop have much more variety, and much better prices.

People who has a permanent visa in Japan needs an american visa to visit US? -

actually i m a student in US and my dad lives in Japan as a permanent resident!he wants to come to visit me.Will he need an american visa to get in US?

It solely depends on the (unknown) citizenship of your father. The Japanese residence permit has no relevance. Unless he is a citizen of one of the 35 countries participating on the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) he will need a B-2 tourist visa [fee: $131]. Asian/Pacific countries whose citizens may use the VWP are Australia, Brunei Darrussalam, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea; all others need a visa.http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/withou ..http://tokyo.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa- ..Edit: Based on your previous question asked in Portuguese:citizens of Portugal don t need visa; citizens of Brazil need to apply for it.

Whats a nice place to sit at early in the morning in Austin, TX? -

I like to sit out near Town Lake early in the morning (around 7:30a). It s free and I can take some time drawing, reading, or just quietly sitting and taking in the city. However, as it begins to get colder and rainier, I find it harder to concentrate on just relaxing. Is there any other free public space in town where a person could go that might be more dry or warm. Inside or outside is fine. Thanks.

I love Town Lake also........great place to take your dogs and enjoy everything. Why don t you go to the Capitoll and look at all the beautiful history there? When it is raining, you need to be inside I guess..................

forgive me if I steer you wrong, but when I lived in Austin a year ago I often went to Book People on West 6th (near Lamar) and would sit at the cafe there and read. It was a nice atmosphere and they had coffee and baked items. There are also places to sit inside Whole Foods across the street, but it would be up to you to determine if that store is too crowded or noisy. It can be an interesting place to watch people if it is not too busy.

Lodging in Chicago, help :)? -

So over the summer i am planning on attending College program for highschoolers, the program is through Columbia College. The only problem is it is in Chicago and i live in Appleton area of WI. I dont know anyone in Chicago to stay with, and they are non-residential.So i need to find a place to stay for five weeks and idont know what to do cuz a hotel would be really expensive and well I dont know..Any suggestions please?also every now and then I would drive home on the weekend.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I would try the local Craigslist for furnished rooms for rent:http://chicago.craigslist.org/roo/You can also try through the school since they might assume students will be coming in from out of the area and need places to stay. They might provide screened, approved places to stay.Hello from CA, I have some relatives in Oshkosh.

Commute to Times Square from LaGuardia in New York? -

I am going to times square for new years eve and Ive been trying to find a decent hotel for a good price in Midtown but everything is either sold out or bad hotel. Can anyone either recommend a hotel in Midtown or let me know if it s a good idea to find a nice cheap hotel closer to the airport or a surrounding suburb? I m from Georgia and first timer to NY so I have no idea how far everything is from everything!

You have lots of options. Since LaGuardia is in Queens, you ll have to take a subway (or two) to get to Times Square. But, that is the beauty of it. You can get around by subway all over NYC. I d stay where you can afford it (even across the George Washington Bridge in Ft Lee, NJ). Good luck and watch out for the pickpockets.

The problem is most hotels in Midtown are booked for New Years. Therefore, you will have to settle with booking a hotel room in Queens or near LGA. You will be still be able to travel to Times Square, by taking public transit. Depending on your budget, may I recommend the link below.http://www.hotels-rates.com/Queens/NY/usGood luck

The link below can help u. Good luck!note: to change the time and date go to show options

Pick a Howard Johnson.http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-351176-tTheir rates are reasonable around New Years and a few of their locations have airport shuttle/bus that will pick you up for the airport.

Bostonians wearing chains? -

I have noticed in a good amount of movies set in Boston or New england(gone baby gone, the departed) they show at least a couple of the characters wearing chains with crosses or sometimes saint pendants. i am from the boston area and wear a thin chain with a cross, but i dont really notice too many people wearng them. is there a reputation we have or something or for those of you that visit from out of state, do we actually wear this stuff alot?

I hadn t noticed this, but I can make a guess at what it might indicate. The East Coast / New England area has a very high concentration of Catholics, compared to the rest of the country which tends to lean much more toward the various Protestant sects. Some East Coast states are nearly 50% Catholic, while in some areas of the deep South there might be only around 5%!So to a filmmaker, things like cross pendants, saints images, and references to Mary can be ways of creating a sort of movie shorthand that says You re in Catholic country now, folks - with whatever correct or incorrect assumptions that might rouse in the viewer. :)(Yeah, Protestants do wear crosses sometimes, but much less than Catholics, because of differing interpretations of the idea of idolatry .)

theres alot of ridiculous stereotypes about us in boston, but gone baby gone was the affleck brothers who are from here so i dont know

we just like wearing crosses ummmm know its just the movies like alot of east mass. people are christian but really isnt nothing

How much would an economy trip for a family of 4 to Disney World in Orland Florida cost? -

looking to take 2 kids; 3 and 5 years old and 2 adults. we don t need fancy accommodations, just as long as they are clean and nice, and then there would be the cost of admission to the park. are there packages that include flight, hotel and admission? if someone could point me to a good travel site, it would be appreciated. i m from Toronto, Canada.

First, you have to realize when you want to go, there are more expensive and less expensive seasons. I would suggest to stay at Disney value resort because you will save on transportation from/to airport and will have access to Extra hours in parks and great transportation to parks. This will eliminate renting a car and paying for parking at both hotel and park. Disney constantly running some specials, right now it is 4/3, 5/2 meaning for value you will pay for 5 nights but will get 7. Explore Disney.com Sign for mousesaver.com letter(free), they will send you special offers as well. Explore Allears.net, tons of useful information. You will need to use child swap to be able to ride adult rides, you will learn more on sites I gave you. On mousesaver.com you will find contact info of travel agency that will help you to book your dream vacation. Your kids will remember and enjoy the trip, it is very good age for Disney trips. Also sign at Disboards.com(free). You will be able to read lots of info and be able to post your questions, we are very friendly there. Also we have budget board there, people have some amazing ideas on savings. For ticket prices go to Undercovertourist.com, it is official reseller, tickets are little bit cheaper there and they have free shipping (not sure about Canada however, you will learn on site). Never buy at street booths or at Ebay, Disney tickets use biometrics(finger print) and the first time someone use ticket, he is the only person who can use it, with unauthorised sellers you never know what you will get.Good luck!

When do you plan on going? WDW runs specials during the slower seasons such as fall and late winter. Today is the last day you can book a 7 day package for the price of 4 if traveling before the end of March: http://www.mousesavers.com/packages.html

any travel agent could show u packages and costs. at 3 and 5 years the kids will not remember the trip and dragging them along to do baby rides, well one of the adults would have to stay on the ground while the other rides if u want to do any of the adult rides. personally i would wait til they can enjoy the rides and remember the trip. but if u want to go there are lots of cheaper hotels on the strip outside of disney. call orbitz or one of those for the cheapest hotel around since u will only be there to sleep. top classy hotels will only take all the money u planned to spend on fun. u can go to disney.com directly and see what offers they have. middle of winter is their busy season tho as everyone wants to escape the cold weather. if u go u want to go on tues thru thurs to beat the lines those are the less busy days. if i were u i would look at t he possibility of leaving the kids with grandma and just the adults go. more fun, less worry. oh u have to pay parking each day into the park so add that into your expenses. think entrance is about $100 for each adult and parking was 10/car / day. i don t know what ages are free for children but if they are old enough to ride the kiddy rides - only 10 or so they charge at least half the adult fare for them, if u go down and buy 1/2 price tickets from one of the many road shops, u have to sit in on a timeshare meeting that can take up to noon to get out of. which wastes 1/2 the day. good luck and have fun

Where exactly is T-Rex Restaurant Downtown Disney? -

I checked the DTD map on the Disney site and on All Ears. Neither one has been updated with the location of T Rex. We have ADR s for Dec 1 and I am trying plan out our day.TIA

It s in the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney, close to McDonald s, which is almost right next to the World of Disney.

It s VERY easy to find since there s a huge T-rex skeleton out front. I walked past it heading back to the parking lot from the Portabello Restaurant. It was our right so just look for Portabello and its just before that.Downtown Disney isn t that huge that you can t just park anywhere and find it.
