First, you have to realize when you want to go, there are more expensive and less expensive seasons. I would suggest to stay at Disney value resort because you will save on transportation from/to airport and will have access to Extra hours in parks and great transportation to parks. This will eliminate renting a car and paying for parking at both hotel and park. Disney constantly running some specials, right now it is 4/3, 5/2 meaning for value you will pay for 5 nights but will get 7. Explore Disney.com Sign for mousesaver.com letter(free), they will send you special offers as well. Explore Allears.net, tons of useful information. You will need to use child swap to be able to ride adult rides, you will learn more on sites I gave you. On mousesaver.com you will find contact info of travel agency that will help you to book your dream vacation. Your kids will remember and enjoy the trip, it is very good age for Disney trips. Also sign at Disboards.com(free). You will be able to read lots of info and be able to post your questions, we are very friendly there. Also we have budget board there, people have some amazing ideas on savings. For ticket prices go to Undercovertourist.com, it is official reseller, tickets are little bit cheaper there and they have free shipping (not sure about Canada however, you will learn on site). Never buy at street booths or at Ebay, Disney tickets use biometrics(finger print) and the first time someone use ticket, he is the only person who can use it, with unauthorised sellers you never know what you will get.Good luck!
When do you plan on going? WDW runs specials during the slower seasons such as fall and late winter. Today is the last day you can book a 7 day package for the price of 4 if traveling before the end of March: http://www.mousesavers.com/packages.html
any travel agent could show u packages and costs. at 3 and 5 years the kids will not remember the trip and dragging them along to do baby rides, well one of the adults would have to stay on the ground while the other rides if u want to do any of the adult rides. personally i would wait til they can enjoy the rides and remember the trip. but if u want to go there are lots of cheaper hotels on the strip outside of disney. call orbitz or one of those for the cheapest hotel around since u will only be there to sleep. top classy hotels will only take all the money u planned to spend on fun. u can go to disney.com directly and see what offers they have. middle of winter is their busy season tho as everyone wants to escape the cold weather. if u go u want to go on tues thru thurs to beat the lines those are the less busy days. if i were u i would look at t he possibility of leaving the kids with grandma and just the adults go. more fun, less worry. oh u have to pay parking each day into the park so add that into your expenses. think entrance is about $100 for each adult and parking was 10/car / day. i don t know what ages are free for children but if they are old enough to ride the kiddy rides - only 10 or so they charge at least half the adult fare for them, if u go down and buy 1/2 price tickets from one of the many road shops, u have to sit in on a timeshare meeting that can take up to noon to get out of. which wastes 1/2 the day. good luck and have fun
