cheapest way to get from phoenix to chicago? car, plane, train, bus? please include sites.
Check out www.allegiantair.com If you can plan a little you can fly from Mesa to Rockford, Ill. for as little as $89. From there you can take the Coach-USA bus to Union Station for $19. You will have to figure a cab ride from the Rockford airport to the Clock Tower Inn to catch the bus. They leave for Chicago hourly on the hour. The flight is non-stop. The bus is supposed to be, but who knows with traffic conditions.
well cheapest is the bus, greyhound will take you anywhere in the country for $99, but the stations are usually located in seedier parts of town and if you re looking for comfort and little travel time then the bus is not how you would want to go.plane, you would want to fly US Air or United because PHX is US Air s hub and ORD is United hub so you can fly non-stop on those two carriers, will run you around 300-700 depending on the time of yearI really don t know about trains, they aren t very common place anymore and the reduced passenger loads has driven up costs to cover the fuel expensesI think car might be the best because it wil be cheaper then flying but more comfortable then the bus.
Generally, If you re traveling alone and you want to leave soon, the bus is the cheapest way. There are 4 daily buses with travel time from 1 day, 15 hrs to 1 day, 18hrs, 40 min. by car if you want to share the driving and fuel costs with people (plus hotel stays), by plane if you need to get there quickly, by bus if don t have the money for a plane and don t mind traveling with different people. Not too many people take the train anymore.
by air would be quickest and cheapest, southwest could be as cheap as $134 bus is $167.
