21st birthday in NYC with Open Bar? -
I m turning 21 in January and I have no idea where to go to celebrate with my friends! I live on the east end of Long Island and I really wanted to go into the city with friends. Is there anywhere anyone recommends? Preferably with open bar, but if not it s not a big deal
Open bars a legal in NYS only for private functions ... which means it could be done for your birthday party but only by contacting the bar management and making that arrangement. you can use UPS guaranteed 3-day delivery and it will be there within 3-days. I sent a few packages myself for $10 each this way and they all arrived on time.
If you pay for Wxpress...it is overnite. if you pay for priority, it is 2 to 3 days. if you pay for first class...it may be too late. when you take the package to the pist office, ASK.

Have you ever been in Gypsum, Colorado? -
I m going to stay there for a couple of weeks. I already know this town is very small, but, what kind of funny things can I do there? Are there bars, clubs, good reataurants and/or any recreational activities?I m worrying about getting fatalistically bored there.
I went to High School in Gypsum. It is a very small town and when i was there it was even smaller. It is pretty close to Eagle, Vail, or Glenwood Springs. I am not sure you will find a lot of things to do there. When I was there I played basketball and was on the cross country and track teams, and I was pretty busy, but it doesn t sound like you would like those things.
Well Gypsum doesn t have much, but in Eagle there is the state park and a bowling alley. Glenwood Springs is nearby and they have good restaurants and they have the hot springs swimming pool. They have skiing there, but if you want more of a nightlife go to Vail or Beaver Creek because they have really restaurants and the nights there are pretty good.
You know, I have lived in CO for 21 years and never heard of Gypsum...that being said, I was curious about the town as well after reading your question, here is the towns website...http://www.townofgypsum.com/index.aspxhowever I didn t find too much info. I have to assume that there is at least on bar there, I would say they most likely isn t any clubs , there s bound to be good restaurants and rec activities...just ask a local when you get there, that the best way to find out what to do. It looks like its not too far from Beaver Creek (30 minutes by car) if you have transportation and want to ski/snowboard.

We just got back from NYC about 2 months ago and I m definitely going back! Actually this would be a great place to go alone, so much to see,, We were there for 3 days, but I think 5 days should be enough. Hotel wise, book early. We stayed in Chinatown (Hotel 91) but it s clean and fairly cheap- though you can heard the subway at night, it didn;t bother us. Becareful of big and cheap hotel, I heard it s not clean,, The last thing you want is to bring home some bed bugs.Broadway Show: If Wicked was too expensive ( it was for us), so we went to see Fuerza Bruta , we got a coupon online and pay half price =) so check online! .. Actually, I heard Asia has the best seat in the house for the meteor shower, but Texas should be able to see some of it as well. However, close to San Antonio the light pollution is going to make it hard to see any meteors. You will need to head out of town, as far from the city lights as possible, to really see much of anything.Good luck!
You should see a flash or two as some of the larger ones burn up. You ll do better outside of town.
