Is club Paris in Jacksonville FL still open? -
Do texas still have prison rodeo ? -
No. They stopped doing that back in the 80 shttp://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/onlin
The last prison rodeo in Huntsville, Texas was in October 1986.I went to a few back in 1980 and 1981 (I was dating a girl who went to Sam Houston State U). It was a bit surreal but I wound up enjoying myself. I had to ask her, So you go to school here, right near a prison? Weird.
No the closest place I know of is Angola in Louisiana. They had there s for 2009 already and it was sold out
Im going to San Fransisco what should we do? -
Haight street is just that a street. It has shops, restaurants and bars. It is gritty and there will be lots of people out on the street. Most of the other posters have given you the tourist low down. But without knowing what interests you it is nigh on impossible to give you any suggestions.
Silvermist covered about everything. I also want to include a ride on a cable car, driving across the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, driving down Lombard Street (also known as the crookedest street in the world), The Cable Car Museum, and Golden Gate Park (the S.F. Botanical Gardens and Buffalo Paddock are very nice places to visit in the park). In addition, if you go to Chinatown, which I highly recommend, visit the Fortune Cookie Factory. They have a very interesting and fun tour and you ll get some fortune cookies.
*_~ So glad that you re considering San Francisco for your vacation.Try to stay in Union Square. http://www.unionsquareshop.com/ When you arrive at the airport, take the SFO air train that goes around the airport, then youll get off when you see Bart, take Bart to Powell Station (should be about $6-9 and it takes 20 mins ) thats Union Square. http://www.bart.gov/ for schedule..I just love the weather and the diverse culture here!! Traffic can be hectic but still bearable. Public transport is great! You can always take Bart, ferries, bus, taxi or cable car etc. However, if you dont have much time or want to travel beyond the city C I think a car would help a lot. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but save you time to go more places faster.. Try the City Sightseeing Open Top Bus Tour which is about $30. This unique open-topped bus tour of San Francisco includes four different routes, the Downtown Loop, the Golden Gate Loop, the Park Loop, and the Night Loop. You re free to hop on and off as often as you want on the downtown loop.Embarcadero is wicked nice, and it s not THAT far, so you could really just walk down it to the Ferry Building. http://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/ On Saturdays they do a nice farmer s market and you can get lots of good stuff. I need to find a hotel in the LA area, that has reasonably priced 2 room quot;suitesquot;? -
An average 1-room hotel in a decent area runs about $125 per night during the summer season, so it really depends on when you are going. You might be able to find a suite in that range during the off-season, but figure the price to be double in the summer. In Anaheim, I would start by looking at the Howard Johnson. You can also try the Hyatt Regency Anaheim (Garden Grove, actually), or the Desert Palms. Just go to Travelocity.com and look for hotels in the areas that you mentioned. I prefer Anaheim because the prices are more competitive.
http://www.palosverdesinn.com/This is the place I recommend to my friends that are coming to LA who are looking for something cheap like you are. You re not gonna get a suite anywhere for what you want to pay but you could get additional regular rooms and spend the same amount if you stay at the Palos Verdes Inn. It s in a good area (Redondo Beach). You can walk to the beach, it s a five minute drive from the largest mall in L.A. (Del Amo), there are tons of restaurants and bars nearby (walking distance), the rooms are decent, they have an ocean view (on the upper floors) and it s centrally located between Anaheim and West Hollywood. They also run packages on and off that are good like buy 2 nights, get the 3rd night free and that sort of stuff.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
to tell you the truth go get a hotel room in anaheim and if you can drive a lil farther get a room in corona or norco lot cheaper just look around your just 20 mins away from anaheim from these cities
nobody listens to me But Go to the auto club (AAA) and get their brochure on hotels/motels in the Los Angeles area.. Not only does it give the prices but gives ratings and reviews.
Where should we go for dinner on Christmas Eve? -
Try the Old Homestead or the Hideaway on 34th st.Good luck.
Is it possib if my parents would buy a hotel room over the phone and then I go check in (Im 17) I just need? -
Nope, you have to be 18 and over (21 at some hotels) in order to check-in to a hotel in NYC. This means your parents will have to check you in.Good luck
New town? New place? /: Help!!!!!!? -
Don t feel terrified at all. It will all become normal in a few weeks. Think of it as an adventure, you get to see how it s like living in Washington. Many people move each day, some from Texas to Florida, others from Florida to Illinois, Others from Illinois to Washington. It happens always. Many people wish to move. Think of yourself lucky, you get to have large mountains nearby to visit, and hopefully snow close by. A typical Floridian would love to live in Washington, that s where they all travel for vacation. The same is vice-versa with all places. Just go to school with like you did in Texas and it will be all fine. Instead of thinking about worries, think about what good view you may find out of your classroom window. Good Luck
Be yourself and you will be just fine. You will make friends within a few days. You will adapt just fine
