I grew up in Alabama, and yeah, the sun here is much stronger, even though South Carolina gets more uncomfortably hot and humid in the summer (love your mountains and beach, though, hafta say). If you use sunscreen every day and try to stay out of the sun between 9 AM and 3 PM, you ll be OK.

What Las Vegas Hotel offers you the most by staying there? -
Treasure Island e.g. but also other hotels offer coupons and freebies if you book your hotel room directly with their website. Hotels have various promotions available which give you some extras. Keep an eye on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com - it has the latest promotions from many Las Vegas hotels available.
Right now NY NY is offering $39 weekend rooms . . . plus they give you a coupon for 2 free drinks and 1/2 off one meal inside the hotel. You really cant beat that. Plus if you gamble you are almost guaranteed to get free room offers in the mail for your next trip (just use your players card)
All hotels offer a little something but not freebies, just discounts. That is unless you are a very repeat customer or a known whale, high gambler
On the strip probably Sahara Hotel and Casino
Check out this site, it will answer all of your questions.http://www.cheapovegas.com

Columbus, Cleveland Weather in December 2009? -
You may get some snow in Cleveland, but usually no more than a few inches (most snow storms don t hit till January). The temperature can be anywhere from 0 or below to 40+. December weather can vary greatly from year to year...Generally its around 30 s. Columbus probably won t see much snow, if any. In my opinion Columbus can seem colder because it tends to be windier than Cleveland...Christmas events in the area, there are probably Christmas plays or concerts, Check ticketmaster or cleveland orchestra website. There s always zoolights at the cleveland or columbus zoo.
We had some snow yesterday, but it was very light. Today was sunny and 48 degrees around 3PM, but it felt nice until you got downtown. Downtown it s always freezing.Last year it did not snow in December. Same for the year before that. It s been colder this year than the last two so it might snow, but I don t know. According to the Weather Channel, for the next week the temperature will be from 30-45 degrees and mostly rain.. =] Hope this helps.
Don t miss our FREE Christmas Light show. It s at Ghostly Manor Thrill Center 3319 Milan Rd. Sandusky, OH You sit in your car and listen to 5 Christmas songs that dance to over 75,000 lights. (Channel 99.7) for more info call 419-626-4467.As for the weather, it changes everyday and some times from minute to minute. Like today it s 38 degrees in the morning but it s sunny and feels nice. Tomorrow it s going to rain, so it will be bone chilling. I suggest layer. :)
Im moving to Houston and im thing bout Sugarland or Sharpstown are they bad areas? -
Sugarland is a good area, but Sharpstown is not.
Sugarland is a very desirable town to live in. Friendswood and Pearland aren t bad either. West University Place and Bellaire are great and in the middle of Houston (more or less). Where you should live depends on where you will work. Try to find a place close to your workplace. Spending one hour on the road each way is no fun. If you pay attention to the local news, you will notice that there is a shooting every few days in the part of the city called the southwest.
You have heard correctly. A lot of my friends live out there there s always crap going on with the pigs. Sugarland is a very nice suburb of Houston with great schools but can be a little pricey when it comes to buying a house. In short:Sugarland: NICE, nice parks, schools, etcSharpstown: BAD: gangs, drive by shootings, GHETTO!
Sharpstown is being overtaken by Houston s inner city sprawl, Sugarland is better IMOhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharpstown,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sugar_Land,Even better would be, Katy or The Woodlands
They are very different locations very different neighborhoods. Sugarland is further out but a MUCH better community. There are occasional shootings at Sharpstown Mall.
Sugarland is alot better, but still not the best place outside the city. But, if I had to decide between the 2, i would say Sugarland definitely.
Do not move to the Sharpstown area. Sugar Land is much better.http://houstoncrimemaps.com/neighborhood
sharpstown is basically the hood lol
sugarland is much safer than sharpstown
no, Sugar land is the BEST.Try lo live in the first colony area of sugar land, sweetwater area...its great here:)
Another vote for Sugar Land definately!!
I ve lived near Sharpstown but not that close and yes it is a BAD area to live . Sugarland is much safer
GIRL please do not move to sharpstown sugarland is way better,!!!!!!!
Wednesday before Thanksgiving leaving Manhattan? -
Suggestion: Have her meet you at 100th street, W. side (you re already uptown), then take the George. No having to drive downtown fighting traffic. 80W begins a few feet from the George. That traffic getting to, and near the Linc. will probably be brutal, no matter what time (especially with every carrier bus you can name coming out of Port Auth., and trucks). It s the biggest travel day of the year. If you go through the Linc., you ll deal with 3W (relatively short), then 46W, then the 46-23-80 Junction-tricky navagation if you ve never done it before-you have to really pay attention to the overhead signs and get in the correct lane, otherwise you could end up on the wrong route. From the George, it s straight out to 80W. Be careful around Paterson if you re going that far. Lots of merging and exiting.Happy Turkey Day!
I would suggest telling the passenger to either wait in Times Square or meet the car somewhere near the tunnel. You can pick up the passenger near the tunnel, go through it and once in New Jersey, just take 3 west until you meet up with 80. It really doesn t pay for the car to come all the way down from 100 street then turn around and go back up to the bridge. One o clock should be early enough to beat the rush coming out of the city. Good luck and have a nice holiday.
PROJECT! hotel average price? for a week in Phoenix? -
you have the internet, look it up yourself.
If you are coming now it will be around $1000. If you come during MLB spring training it will be about $1500. That s for a nice safe place.Off beat places that are OK will be around $700. That s truck stop hotels where deisel engines run all night, but no one gets killed and the pool is heated, plus there is a continental breakfast of donuts and coffee in the morning.
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Where is the best place to stay in New York City? -
Well, if price is REALLY not a barrier, then I would suggest staying in one of the luxury hotels along Central Park South (see link to map, below), like the Plaza or the Ritz-Carlton, or the Essex House, etc. , and be sure to get a room with a Central Park view, it ll be spectacular! On the other hand, they are VERY expensive, so, if price turns out to be a problem after all, then why not stay at one of the affordable hotels offered by the NY Inns Hotel Group (see link, below). They have three very nice hotels right in Manhattan, in the Murray Hill (near Times Square), Union Square (near the East and West Village) and Upper West Side (near Lincoln Center and Central Park) neighborhoods, and the rooms are nice, the service is good, and they re affordable, too! Check out the link below to see their webpage, and, no, I don t work for them or anything like that, I m just a fan.Happy Birthday, good luck, and welcome to the Big Apple!!

Staten Island or Brooklyn. Brooklyn is rich in culture and Staten Island is the most suburban part, really quiet, calm, but still exotic. Of course, if you want to full NYC experience, I recommend Brooklyn or Manhattan.
There are plenty of hotels in Times Square. Depending on your budget, may I recommend the link below.Good luckNative New Yorker
My house i ts next to a dumpster bin and its full of all the luxuary you want Ive a map of times square and theres a starbucks around the corner ah sure youll be grand.Lady we cant have it all..

Is it faster to buy concert tickets from the seller in person, or to buy them on line? -
On-line and pick them up at WILL CALL. Sometimes the lines at the show location are really much toooooo long....and you have to make a special trip over there to get them...needless hassle...
Because of fake tickets I personally would buy thru the hotel on line or in person when you arrive.
Whats a good, cheap, warm, state I could move to? -
Arizona or Texas. Texas is really cheap. You can compare here: http://www.cityrating.com/costofliving.a
Virginia is man cheap and quite hot.It has good high schools, Virginia Beach and Alexandria are in the top ten lists to live in.It is the closest to the capital and also has the 2nd oldest university in usa.(William and Mary)It was also the best state of the year in buisness matters.
Arizona
Catalina Island located near California.
The southern half of Texas should qualify. If you do not mind 107F in May. El Paso is quite cheap to live in.
I want to work at the Seattle International Airport, HELP PLEASE? -
Commonly known as Sea Tac ...The Port of Seattle is the governing government agency. You also might want to check Highline Community College which has programs which train you for a variety of airport careers.
Check all the shops (restaurants, newsstand, etc.), airlines, airline vendors (like food service and janitorial companies). Also if you have a commercial driver s license, the rental car and shared van services. Also check the TSA and air traffic control (ATC). ATC makes a lot of money and only needs a high school diploma and willingness to go to Oklahoma City for training. There s a little bit of checking to make sure terrorists don t apply but not much.
What is New Orleans like? -
New Orleans is one of the world s special places and remains so even after Katrina devastated the city in 2005.To specifically answer your questions:Crime? New Orleans has a high murder rate because drug dealers are killing each other and the still-reduced population caused the rate to skyrocket (rate = population divided by crimes). It s a lot like the violence within the Yardie community in the UK. However, other crime is at or below the average for cities. Use very basic common sense + stay away from people who buy/sell/use crack cocaine and your chances of being the victim of anything worse than a parking ticket or hangover are very low.Social Divisions? African Americans are still disadvantaged but New Orleans was never as bad as most of the South and there has been enormous progress since the civil rights acts of the 1960s. In many ways, the Black/White conflict today is the self-serving belief among some community leaders that Blacks should now be able to discriminate against Whites. Basically a return to segregation, but with Blacks in charge. The rhetoric can be found in the public discussions regarding who should be the next Mayor (election next February). This is the New Orleans daily newspaper: http://www.nola.com/Good food? Oh, yeah - and all types. Bad restaurants simply don t survive in New Orleans.Sports? Mostly American. Baseball, basketball, US football. There are sports bars with multiple screens that will show European football on request - if you can deal with the time difference. An example near Tulane is Cooter Brown s: http://www.cooterbrowns.com/main.html If you mean personal sports, there is hunting, fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, etc. nearby. Job Opportunities?New Orleans was not hit as badly by the current recession as many cities. International students can legally work, and you should be able to find a job. However, talk to the university about options and make sure you don t violate the visa requirements. Quality of Life? The city and metro area are still recovering from Katrina, and the process will take more years. Realize that Katrina was the worst natural disaster in US history and turned 90,000 square miles (an area larger than the UK) into a rubbish heap overnight. More buildings were destroyed in New Orleans alone (a small part of the disaster area) on the morning of August 29, 2005 than were destroyed in London by German bombs/rockets during all of WWII (the death toll in London was of course far, far higher). Fortunately, the historic parts of the city were all built on high ground and didn t flood. There has also been huge progress in the past 4 years and most of the metro area now looks like Katrina never happened. In practical terms, the city metro area are operating normally. Utilities like electricity/water/phone and city services like police/fire/ems/sanitation were all problematic in 2005-2006 but are back to normal. The area s entertainment industry has also recovered. The weather may be a factor for you. New Orleans has mild winters and the city stays green all year most years (rarely freezes and almost never snows). We pay for the nice winters with brutally hot humid summers (May to October). Most people love New Orleans but not all. I hope you like it!
