Need help with itenerary in Las Vegas? -

Husband and I are staying there Dec 17-20 at MGM. So far I have Thur night Pure and Pussycat Dolls. Fri night Studio 54 Sat night Jubilee and Draiz.Throughout the day lion habitat at MGM...I need some other stuff to do at MGM for day or restaurants to go to. Forum shops...is it worth going over there or is something better? Eiffel tower and Madame Tussaudes. Pleeease let me know if anything I have planned is not worth doing I need suggestions for day stuff and eating.

Yes Forum Shops are cool with two free anatronic statute shows and a ceiling that changes from night to day over hours.Don t forget to go 101 stories atop Stratosphere to see the entire city, esp at sunset and there are 3 scarey rides plus a restaurantMadame Tussaudes is a great wax museum, you touch them, and go see Grand Canal Shops with the wandering entertainment and gondola ride. Oh, don t miss the entrance to Venetiain, the fantastic ceiling.Another great show would be one of the 6 ciruqes, esp Mystere or Love!!!And don t forget enjoying a long leisurely buffet. All you can eat from appetizers to desert and non-alcoholic beverages. Plus there is Shark Reef Aquarium (self guided tour) at Mandalay Bay plus Sigfried Roys Secret Garden (tigers, dolphin)Have fun

Jubilee is good-very classic vegas. I like Md Tussuad s too.Could check out the Lamborghini showroom in the Palazzo. Forum Shopes in Caesars is similar to the Shops in the Venetian-so you could do either/or, but in the Venetian you ve got the gondola rides. If you have time, you can go out to the Hoover damn, if you have a whole day you can go to the grand canyon (but it s like 4 hours away)Try to see a Cirque show if you can.Check out downtown Vegas-it s old sketchy but you might as well. They have deep fried twinkies and oreos! wayyyy too much of a good thing-aretery clogging! But try it once.Take the local bus to downtown to save some money.

The forum shops are pretty cool (I usually just browse and watch the animatronic shows, alot of the stores are entirely too expensive for me!) Madamme Tussaudes is definitely worth the visit!Eiffel Tower....eh.There is a restaurant that has a live mermaid show, also one whose entire staff are transvestites...haven t been to either yet, but I hear they re pretty cool. The shows throughout the day in front of Treasure Island are pretty sweet, as is the fountain display in front of the Bellagio. The Shark Reef aquarium at Mandalay Bay is a good stop. We usually just spend a lot of our free time walking the strip, checking out the different casinos and shops, and people watching :)Oh, don t forget to see a light show at night on Freemont Street. Old school Vegas cheesy, but totally awesome! If you like touristy restaurants, there is a Planet Hollywood in the Forum Shops, and a Hark Rock cafe in the Hard Rock casino a few blocks off the strip.

I just answered your other Vegas question! Yes, the Forum Shops are definitely worth going to. There s tons of great shopping in Las Vegas. The site I m working with, VisitLasVegas.com, has a great shopping directory: http://www.visitlasvegas.com/vegas/play/Definitely check it out if you re in the mood for shopping! I think it will be helpful.

The Strip is similar to New York = you walk and people watch and end up places. You don t need to be so scheduled.

Weather wise... It doesn t matter in San francisco... *_~ So glad that you re considering San Francisco for your vacation.Try to stay in Union Square. http://www.unionsquareshop.com/ When you arrive at the airport, take the SFO air train that goes around the airport, then youll get off when you see Bart, take Bart to Powell Station (should be about $6-9 and it takes 20 mins ) thats Union Square. http://www.bart.gov/ for schedule..I just love the weather and the diverse culture here!! Traffic can be hectic but still bearable. Public transport is great! You can always take Bart, ferries, bus, taxi or cable car etc. However, if you dont have much time or want to travel beyond the city C I think a car would help a lot. Yes, you have to pay for parking, but save you time to go more places faster.. Try the City Sightseeing Open Top Bus Tour which is about $30. This unique open-topped bus tour of San Francisco includes four different routes, the Downtown Loop, the Golden Gate Loop, the Park Loop, and the Night Loop. You re free to hop on and off as often as you want on the downtown loop.Embarcadero is wicked nice, and it s not THAT far, so you could really just walk down it to the Ferry Building. http://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/ On Saturdays they do a nice farmer s market and you can get lots of good stuff. Walk down to Pier 39.GET THE San Franciso POPOUT Maps I loves these POPOUT map- you get to see where you are- =) No Thinking required, especially on vacation. There s plenty to do in San Francisco any time of year. Some great attractions are Alcatraz, Chinatown (visit the Fortune Cookie Factory), Golden Gate Park (head to the S.F. Botanical Gardens and Buffalo Paddock), Cable Car Museum, The San Francisco Zoo, Coit Tower, Fisherman s Wharf, Pier 39, The Embarcadero, ride down the crookedest street in the world (Lombard St), drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. Also, visit Muir Woods just north of the city. It s very scenic and a beautiful nature walk.

Trackstar,Take a look at our San Francisco Events Calendar. It s full of things to do in San Francisco. We maintain listings of all kinds of fun and interesting events going on in the San Francisco area. You can sort it by category and by date. New events are being added all the time so make sure you check back before your trip.Enjoy the trip!

Golly, downtown SF during the holidays is a really beautiful place. All those elaborate shop windows. They really do an incredible job at some of those swanky retail stores. Union Square is the logical center for this sort of thing.I d also check into special events at Grace Cathedral. There are organ concerts and often these are staged with elaborate decorations and sometimes with performers (dancers possibly). Some are free admission. I have included the link to Grace s events calendar below. By the way, Grace is a really beautiful place to visit even when there is no service or concert going on. The interior of this neo-Gothic building is spirit-lifting, a wonderful inspiration for anyone who has a heart of gold. Also, Chinatown will all its color and exotic stores, would be a fantastic place to look for inexpensive gifts. And for that matter, so would Japantown (which is west of downtown off Geary Street near Fillmore).
