I need to book a cheap hotel near the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia? -

Hi I need to book a cheap hotel near the University of Pennsylvania. Price range around $50 or $60 per night, I m staying 3 nights. I wouldn t mind suggestion outside of the University area. I ll be using public transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the University, so the closer the better.Thank you

Your price range is totally not going to happen in Philadelphia, especially on weekdays. Even the lower priced hotels out by the airport are in the $80-$90 range. And the University City area is one of the more expensive areas of town. You re going to see if you can luck out and get Priceline to accept a rate that low. It s been known to happen on rare occasions.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

You could try Priceline or Hotwire.com. That sounds like an awfully low rate for anything in a city, so you d probably have to use one of those sites or something similar. You can go to TripAdvisor.com for a list of hotels and comments from past guests, which can help you make a decision.

Cheap, not so easy for this location, but the University says:The Hilton Inn at Penn and the Sheraton University City Hotel are offering special discounts during the months of July and August for Penn affiliated patrons. During those two months, the Penn rate will be decreased to $189 (from $209) for the Hilton and to $150 (from $180) for the Sheraton. Effective Sept. 1 the rates will return to FY09 levels with no increase in Fiscal Year FY10. The Penn Tower rate will remain $145.For individual reservations, please contact the hotels directly and request the University of Pennsylvania rate*Penn Preferred Hotels in PhiladelphiaThe Inn at Penn - A Hilton Hotel At the heart of Penn s campus, a 238-room, 4-diamond boutique hotel in the European tradition. WDW: Entering MK late at night? -

On Sunday Dec 27th, MK is open until 2am.We are thinking of going in at around 10pm just to walk around and take pictures. Is it going to be impossible to get in because of peak season, or is this workable? Thanks!

well i don t see why you would want to waste the money and day on your ticket to only go for a couple of hours in the first place. and there is no way you will get in even at 10pm cuz between dec 21st and jan 1st is the busiest time of the entire year and many days especially from xmas day thru new years eve the parks fill to capacity buy noon at the latest and everyone plans on staying the entire day since it is open so late. if you want to go to magic kingdom on the 27th you will need to get there before the park opens to ensure that you get in.

the reason that the park is opened so late is because December 27th is right in the middle of the busiest week of the year. If you arrive at ten I can almost guarantee that the park will have reached its full capacity which means you can t get in unless your staying at a disney resort (unless they changed the rule)

The parks take turns having late night hours during the year but this is ONLY for guests of the Disney hotels.. My husband anddaughter would take me and the younger kids back to the room then go to whatever park was open late for a daddy daughter date.

Usually around that time they either have fireworks or a parade on Main St which in past years around that time is very packed. Some people go home after the fireworks or parade so if you can come after would probably be better.

Scottsdale Arizona - nice place to live? -

I m thinking of moving to Scottsdale Arizona. Are there any big negatives (other than the heat)? Are the people nice?

Scottsdale aka snottsdale has a reputation that everyone there is rich and plastic.its kinda like the beverley hills of arizona.i live 45 minutes from it, but never met anyone from there =Pso i dont wanna assume anything about the people who live there.but its a richy neighborhood, so look forward to snooty people.there are also celebrities who live there, just so you know...

I love Scottsdale, it s a really nice and a pretty city with plenty to do. There s a lot of neat mountain views and parks there. And there s also tons of upscale shopping districts and restaurants. As for the snobby people. I m sure there are snobby people there, but I ve never experienced this. I live in a different suburb, but visit Scottsdale often. But, another negative about Scottsdale is that it s more expensive to live there than in other suburbs. But, it s the nicest suburb of Phoenix, so I d say that it s worth it.

no one here is rich. at least no one REALLY rich would want to. most people here just like to pretend they are.. definately fake. pretend nice. some jealous trailer-trash girls like to call it snottsdale or snobbsdale BUT there s really no difference in the quality of people wherever you go in arizona. they re all the same. and you should know that scottsdale has been named most miserable place on earth by south park..... (look it up) the creators must have had and EXTREMELY bad time here once.. hahh.....other than that there s nothing unique about scottsdale.. the desert landscape is ugly (in my opinion), it s littered with the same retail chains you ll find everywhere else in the world 3 except for a few remaining mom/pop shops who sell the same over-priced garbage turquoise indian jewelry (made in china) to tourists.the only thing good about it is that it s a lot cleaner than LA.. but that s not saying much..... the nightlife is terrible.. the clubs SUCK and you ll always run into the same group of annoying trampy girls (or gay guys.. don t ask) who scoot around from bar to bar every night.Let me put it this way, if you LOVE shopping malls, cheap quality food, unnecessarily bitchy elderly women, pot-head bosses and suckers w/ scorpions in them.. you ll be in heaven.....OH and did i forget to mention it s the self-proclaimed cougar capital of the country?? ..(NOT a good thing)..... sun-burnt, plastic-surgery nightmare bitches.............

I live in Scottsdale. I m still a nice girl from the midwest though. Yes, the night life has a lot of the fake, plastic girls and spray tanned, tight tshirt guys. IT s hit and miss though for the night life. Some spots are real chill, you just gotta feel it out. While yes there are some people here like that, not everyone is like that. Most people here were not born here, lots of people move to Scottsdale form other places. I would recommend to not move to south Scottsdale, it s not as nice. Just like any big city there will be rich snobs and normal people. It s a great place to live. The weather is perfect.

A lot of snowbirds live in Scottsdale during the winter. A lot of retired people. I lived there 10 years ago. It is a nice community. Scottsdale and Paradise Valley are two best areas. Don t understand the fake part except there is a lot of money there. I am an older person so my point of view is different from yours. The scenery and the desert landscaping are beautiful if you buy a house. Home prices are half of California prices. Everyone drives pretty fast on the streets except the seniors who drive too slow. The Airport is very nice too. The Indian culture is interesting.

yes Arizona people Scottsdale people are fake.My ex in laws live there and they have lots of money and think everything is about them and they are perfect people and Arizona is very dry and it sucks.Sorry to be rude but I don t like Arizona.I love my home in Indiana!!!!
