Cruise around Alaska...how...when? -

Ok so my husband has always wanted to take a cruise around alaska. How do I find out prices? like is there a site I can look at prices?Would July/August be a good time to go?Thanks for your thoughts

yes you can google it and you will have some links that will tell you about the price to go to alaska. CHECK THIS OUT:http://www.alaskaair.com/

Don t think there ARE any cruises AROUND Alaska. There are cruises that go to Anchorage [actually Seward] from Vancouver or Seattle.Go to VacationsToGo.com [or any of the other usual travel websites] and put in Alaska as your destination. July and August are probably the best [warmest] times to cruise in Alaska, but also the busiest and most expensive. May and September are less-crowded and less-expensive. Be aware that unless you do a round-trip cruise - or back-to-back cruise - you will have the added, sometimes hefty, expense of non-round-trip flights. This is one time it might be a good idea to use cruise air.

take some acid and pretend you are on a cruise

Photo camera at rollins amp; millbrae, Millbrae Ca.? -

I received 2 citations within a couple of days for not coming to complete stops before turning right onto millbrae (towards us 101) from rollins road. At @ 6:00 am. $464 per citation, nice

Right now, many cities need cash badly, so they turn eyes on every driver, and installed cameras everywhere and issued citations a lot, people complaint or protest, but you can t do anything.

So what is your question?

Which hotel or resort would you recommend in Orlando for a second honeymoon? -

We re interested in spending a week there. With a few days at the park. I was leaning towards the animal kingdom resort but some bad reviews have made me nervous. We will be going in October and are interested in nice restaurants and a relaxing atmosphere.

Since you mention just spending a few days at the park, why not consider renting a vacation home? There are plenty in that area with many of them having a pool and hot tub, etc. which could be really romantic. And after spending time at the park you could come home to your own place which would be private and might be a nice feeling after being around crowds all day. Plus you re not just in the park and can still easily enjoy other things in the area like going to the beach, etc. I ve done vacation rentals in the past with great success, and although I haven t yet in Orlando I was just looking into it and was finding lots of great choices by googling various phrases like Orlando area vacation rentals etc. (and have had success in the past using vrbo.com which comes up in that search). And although the last thing I want to do on a trip (especially a honeymoon) is to cook at least you have a full kitchen for preparing some easy meals to splurge a little more on the ones out. And most of the ones I m seeing are even cheaper than area hotels (especially Disney ones!) which for me means I can put the savings toward other aspects of my trip. Have a great time no matter what you decide!

Animal Kingdom is a great choice, just make sure you have a room with a good view. The bad reviews are from people who either have ridiculously high standards or bad room placement, at that resort it is worth it to pay extra for a good view.Another great romantic resort is the Boardwalk, or any resort in the Epcot resort area. They are all walking distance to great restaurants, have a great moonlit boardwalk to walk on, and late at night you can watch the Epcot fireworks on a bridge over a sparkling lake. So romantic.hope this helps :)

The Epcot area resorts are going to give you the most restaurant options located closely together and I think the whole area has a really relaxing atmosphere. You can also easily walk to both Epcot and Disney s Hollywood Studios. You have a lot of choices for hotels. If you want to stay at a Disney-owned resort in this area you could choose from Disney s Yacht Club Resort, Disney s Beach Club Resort and Villas or Disney s BoardWalk Inn and Villas. There are also the Swan and Dolphin resorts which include many of the Disney benefits (extra magic hours, transportation within the world , package delivery from the parks), but are part of the Starwood group of hotels. Of the two, the Swan is probably a bit more intimate and suited for a couple on a second honeymoon. You also won t be lacking for nice restaurants. Here are a few ideas. the Dolphin has Todd English s Blue Zoo and Shula s Steak House. There s also the new restaurant at the Boardwalk - Kouzzina by Cat Cora.

Well there are many places , you ca go for .. to name a few Hotel Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando Hotel Airport Marriott, Orlando and more can be found at cheap priceshttp://www.hotels2stay.net/orlando-hotel

hello and an early congratsI think great place would be the Waldorf historia hotel in Orlando. its a brand new resort just off of Disney property.another suggestion would be the Dolphin hotel. they have some great rooms there as well. feel free to contact me thru my profile if you have any more questions. I live in orlando area and work in the disney area

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

I d go with the Polynesian Resort! You ll enjoy this site! It s an unofficial fan site for the Polynesian Resort.http://www.tikimanpages.com/tiki/This site does help with honeymoon s too.http://www.mouseweddings.com/

Family vacations....Where to go? -

Other than Disney and Theme Parks what are some good vacation destinations for a family that has a 4 and 6 year old?

Our kids love riding on excursion trains. For little kids it s a good balance of active and passive activity. My favorite of the ones we ve been on is Cass Scenic Railroad in West Virginia. Some other ones we ve been on are the Grand Canyon Railroad, Potomac Eagle, Strasburg, Gettysburg,.... Some of the ones that are on my to do list are the Western Maryland Scenic RR, Durango Silverton RR, Verde Canyon RR, and Boone Scenic Valley RR. There are a lot of them around the country so you should be able to find one nearby no matter where you are located.

How about destin Florida? It has the whitest sand in the U.S.A? plus the holiday inn that I stayed at had movies playing in the main room, has a party every day in the main room, has a 3-6 feet pool in the main room, a kids area on the second floor of the main room, it has free movie rentals at the hotel for night guests, free popcorn and ices for kids every hour or so.. Also it has an outdoor kitty pool, a big outdoor pool[3-12 feet] and the coolest beach Ive ever been to in my whole life. My room also had a beautiful view and you could hear the waves at night. If you don t believe all of this, that i would suggest looking it up on the internet. My kids had a blast, and cried when we had to leave.

San Diego is one of the nicest cities in the country. It s a major tourist destination and they know how to treat visitors right.Mission and Pacific Beach are your best bet for fun in the sun. Belmont Park has a vintage wooden roller coaster as well as other rides.http://www.missionbeachonline.com/http://www.belmontpark.com/Some must see attractions are the world famous Zoo, Sea World, and Balboa Park. Balboa Park is the largest urban cultural park in the country. You can get a park passport which allows you entry to a dozen museums as well as the zoo.http://www.balboapark.org/info/passport.http://www.sandiegozoo.org/zoo/index.phpMy favorite museum is the San Diego Model Railroad Museum where kids get in free.http://www.sdmrm.org/North County San Diego is home to the Zoo s Wild Animal Park. There are multi acre enclosures where herds of wild animals roam plus lots of hiking trails.http://www.sandiegozoo.org/wap/index.htmLegoland is in Carlsbadhttp://www.legoland.com/The Old Point Loma Lighthouse at the Cabrillo National Monument offers great views of the dowtown skyline, San Diego Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. On a clear day you can see all the way to Mexico.http://www.nps.gov/cabr/La Jolla offers great views, great food, and shopping.Check out the surfers at historic Windansea Beach. At low tide you can walk out onto the tide pools. Walk along the Cove and check out the caves. Visit the Museum of Contemporary Art. Take a stroll on Prospect St and check out the shops, galleries, and have some authentic Mexican food and Alfonso s. Then head to the Birch Aquarium at The Scripps Institution of Oceanography. It has a spectacular view of the bluffs over the Pacific Ocean.http://www.dreamlajolla.com/http://www.mcasd.org/http://www.alfonsosoflajolla.com/http://aquarium.ucsd.edu/Old Town has a state park that recreates life in the Mexican and early American periods of 1821 to 1872. http://www.oldtownsandiegoguide.com/Check out this site for discount coupons and other infohttp://www.sandiego.org/nav/Visitors

A lot of kids like beaches so try those in Southeast Asia, Boracay in the Philippines, Bali Indonesia, or the beautiful Thailand. How about South America? http://www.learnaboutperu.com/

Im an Alaskan thinking of moving to Detroit.? -

What should I know? I live in a town of 3000 and I am about to graduate and thinking of moving to Detroit to become a body piercer. I want to know about the city.

i think you should find another place. while cities like detroit, ferndale, royal oak, and the suburban areas are good areas for that type of career, the michigan economy is one of the worse in the nation. i m moving out of here within the next year, and going to arizona because its bad here.if you do want to go for it....well, good for you. detroit rock city would be an ideal place for that kind of profession...there are probably thousands of tattoo/piercing shops here.

3000 people eh? Wow that s a small population. Not really sure why you would want to move here of all places but okay. It is a city of extreme negatives and positives that really only a native Detroiter can truly appreciate and respect. Depending on which news report you read on the internet, we have the 2nd or 3rd highest crime rate in the country per capita, the city is broke financially, the government is one of the most corrupt in the country, the school districts are in shambles, unemployment rate is through the roof, abandoned buildings are a very common sight as are the homeless bums and drug addicts that inhabit them, and most people prefer to live on the outskirts because of all the decay within the city itself. On the flipside the downtown area is still a vibrant jewel, a diamond in the rough, with its many hot bars and clubs, awesome restaurants, three casinos, professional sports venues, refurbished riverfront park area, shopping districts, theatres, museums and a population that reflects the diversity of the planet.

Do not go to Detroit! Body piercing there is generally down by knives and guns. The center city was renewed by the auto makers years ago,but it failed due to the violence of its citizens. If you need clientele, you need a high population density,so move to CA or NJ.

Well we have a bit more then 3000 people here.In Detroit you do have to be careful what part you go in there are homeless and other odd people but every city has those. There are a lot of sports events held here, our main teams are the red wings, tigers, and lions. The Fox theater is also in Detroit as well as the MGM grant casino and other casinos=/.um right now Michigan in general is doing so well because we where the motor city and everyone knows the car companies are doing really bad so that market isn t good.If you have kids I wouldn t live in Detroit maybe by it like Dearborn,or something.Good luck:)

It is in Michigan, by the great lakes. It is cold in the winter. It rains there. There are people there and some drive cars. If you come upon a person who has not taken a shower in a while he or she may stink.

Don t know why you would want to move here, but if you must try Royal Oak if you want to do the Body Piercing thing.

Does anyone know week end getaways for me and my boy friend around NYC? -

Some thing like 1 hour drive or so from New york city. some places like sight seeing to just enjoy our time together. any suggestions?

on long island, there are the north and south forks, the south fork has montauk and the hamptons along with some outlet shopping, while the north fork has vineyards and small towns, both places have farms.theres also the jersey shore with places such as point plesant, atlantic city, cape may, sandy hook etc,and bucks county pa with doylestown, new hope and peddlers villageand in upstate new york and connecticut there may be some nice spots as well.

Well, it s a long-ish drive from NYC, 200 miles/3 hours, but I absolutely adore Lake George, which is a really fun vacation destination for young and old alike.Last year we took one of their famous historic steam-powered paddle-wheel ferries out onto the lake just in time to watch the July 4th fireworks and it was fun and unforgettable.Check out the link below for more info, you won t be sorry, and, like me, you ll probably go back again and again...

you ll probably have to drive more than an hour if you really want to feel like you got away, especially if you re going for a whole weekend...that said, lake placid in the adirondacksburlington, vermontthe catskillssaratoga springs, ny..all of the above are within 3-4 hours of nyc, more than worthwhile for a weekend getaway

The link below can help u. Good luck!

You could go to The...Statue of LibertyEmpire State BuildingOr just go out to lunch or dinner and watch the sunset
