I have my sister visiting me who s lived in LA for several years, and she says that Torrance is a fine place to live--there isn t a lot of crime, but the traffic is fairly heavy, as it is in a lot of that area.
Life around the University is ok. You really have to be careful at Mountain View though, Fair View, and around Muldoon - those are where the thugs hang out and do crazy stuff. Those places are where most of the shootings happen, ugh. They give the nickname Los Anchorage to Anchorage.Be careful of Tudor traffic, heavy!I think you ll do good, just be careful. Check out adn.com for Anchorage news!
I would say west coast born and raised in Southern California a lot of diversity
Personally, I like girls with a vagina better.
I like fair skinned redheads. I don t care where they come from.
Lake Okeechobee is enclosed by a large earthen levee which prevents the shallow lake from spilling over in the event of hurricanes. The top of the levee has a good hiking and biking path. The big lake is probably the best in the country for freshwater trophy bass and speckled perch fishing. Casual boating is very popular with many access points. The lake is also linked to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf Of Mexico by a canal that allow easy access for larger yachts. Duck, deer, and wild turkey hunting are popular, especially on the west and south sides. Many decent RV and trailer communities are located on both the west and north sides of the lake, and little fish camps are scattered everywhere. Large cattle ranches occupy the outlying land to the north and west of the lake, while agriculture fills the south and east sides. Sugar cane is the major crop. The focus of tourism is in the town of Okeechobee, with a mix of private homes, hotels, apartments, RV parks, and trailer communities. The better towns are Okeechobee, Taylor Creek, Moore Haven, Clewiston, and Buckhead Ridge, but none of these can be considered upscale. Poverty-levels are far above the norms in the communities of Pahokee, Belle Glade, Canal Point, and South Bay All of the communities have a distinct country flavor to them. Life is slow and casual. . It s hotter than hell in the summer with highs in the upper 90 s, frequent thunderstorms, and humidity levels that can leave you soaking wet in no time. The winter is near perfect when the areas on the north side are busy with snowbird tourists.
Lots of recreation: fishing small boating. The towns are small, agricultural generally economically depressed.
Unicorns.
Maybe Six Flags Great Adventures in New Jersey, 2 hours away
