I don t want to say it but it is absolutely a stupid idea. Now let me explain, while you may think it is a good idea to bring water with you on the flight, you run into some considerations. First, if your water breaks open because the baggage handlers aren t careful, there goes your water. Secondly, water is very heavy to transport and so while you might save yourself some money at the hotel, you might get charged for having the water with you and being overweight. Here is my advice. I have been to the Disney and Sea World parks and can say that while you are staying at the park hotel, there are MANY shop nearby. You can easily walk to the local grocery stores or fast food places and buy bottled water there at a fraction of the price of transporting it on the plane or buying it in the hotel. When I was at the Doubletree, lunch was so expensive so I just walked across the street and there was a Burger King and a McDonalds and I ate there for so much less than what was charged at the hotel. Just relax, pack your bags normally and when you get to your hotel, just ask about the local stores and how to get to them. If you need to, there is a bus system and it passes by all of the local hotels and stores and you will be in good shape. Then you will be able to buy any snacks, drinks and anything else you might want to buy.Have fun in Orlando.
where the heck did you find out its $7 for a bottle of water? cuz ITS NOT!!!its more like $2.50 which i realize is still kinda up there but $7 is just being sarcastic.i would advise you to bring some bottled water, snacks, and something for breakfast like pop tarts but eat your lunch and dinner there. if you are going to the universal theme parks while you are there then get the meal deal wristband. its worth the money.here s a direct link to the meal deal page:http://www.universalorlando.com/Theme_Pa
It s easier just to stop at a store in Orlando and pick up what you need. considering the weight of water you might get charged extra for the checked bag or it might get ruptured during the flight and you end up with a soggy suitcase.
helloright outside of universal is a wallgreens drug store. you can buy cases of water all types of snack foods and more very cheep. if you walked there and took a taxi back it would be no more then a 5.00 ride.
We ve been to WDW 13 times. This is what we do to save money. We each bring an empty water bottle. If you are staying onsite, any of the food courts sell mugs that you can refill throughout your stay. Every morning we go to the food court fill our mugs at the drink station with water, lemonade or iced tea, pour it into our water bottles. If you re not staying on site, just fill your mugs in your room before you leave. We bring mini muffins, cereal bars, granola bars, english muffins, bags of fruit nut mixture snacks. The food courts have toasters microwaves, so we also bring microwave popcorn. We bring cookies, for an evening snack get hot chocolate in our mugs. There are fast food places in all the parks that have reasonable prices. Just check the WDW website. Have Fun!
Go to convenience store outside of WDW. Good Luck.
