Well, I m 18 and i m moving to Chicago by myself to start school. I ve lived in Chicago before, but only when i was like five, then we moved back down to the south. I kinda feel lost, anything that you guys can think of to help?

You won t meet anyone that way. Also taking classes is a good way to meet people with similar interests but as you say you re going to school there so I am assuming you are going to be taking classes. Chicago is great. Spread out - plenty of different neighborhoods. Plenty of industry. Living conditions: good in some areas, not so good in other areas. Get hold of a Chicago mass transit map. Traveling via mass transit in Chicago is easy and cheap. Good Luck.

I think Lincoln Park is a great location for your age. It s not as congested as wrigleyville (which means parking is better). You want to pick a place that is close to public transportation (the CTA) so you can hop on that vs always having to use a car.

What are you asking? You will get here, feel uncomfortable, awkward maybe lonely, then you meet people at school, and go out and enjoy the city with them and you won t feel lost anymore.

Well, if you don t already have a distant relative that lives there and if you re not going down there with a huge wad of cash, maybe consider finding a room to rent for a while until you can get work, save a bit, and then select a good area to move.

What awful answers you have gotten so far!First of all, all public schools in NYC have the same calendar! It does NOT vary from school to school. The school calendar for the NYC public schools can be found at:http://schools.nyc.gov/NR/rdonlyres/F5C4��There you will find the school calendar for this school year (2009 - 2010). In that calendar it clearly states the following:March 29 - April 6, Monday through Tuesday --- Spring Recess (including Good Friday, Easter and Passover); students return to school on Wednesday, April 7. It is ridiculous that people who do not know anything about the public schools insist on trying to answer questions when they have no idea what the answers are! No, the public schools in New Jersey do NOT follow the same calendar as New York City. And no, each school does NOT have a different calendar! Also, it is quite common for individual schools not to share the days off with students till they get closer to a vacation. (I know that this is pretty silly, but it is really common at every school I ve worked at in NYC. They SHOULD give out a school year calendar at the beginning of the year, but most don t.)

I can t judge as I was not on the jury, but from what I ve read the DNA evidence was not strong, she could be innocent.

I think the general feeling is don t underestimate your right to a speedy trial, and to being considered innocent unless proven guilty BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT. If she d been on trial in the USA, she would be free because there clearly is reasonable doubt. But, let this be a lesson, kids, you do NOT have rights when you are in a foreign country! It s a sad case all around, for everyone involved. Whether she is guilty or not? Who knows? The only ones who know for sure are Amanda, Raffaele, Meredith and whoever killed her.

Don t feel terrified at all. It will all become normal in a few weeks. Think of it as an adventure, you get to see how it s like living in Washington. Many people move each day, some from Texas to Florida, others from Florida to Illinois, Others from Illinois to Washington. It happens always. Many people wish to move. Think of yourself lucky, you get to have large mountains nearby to visit, and hopefully snow close by. A typical Floridian would love to live in Washington, that s where they all travel for vacation. The same is vice-versa with all places. Just go to school with like you did in Texas and it will be all fine. Instead of thinking about worries, think about what good view you may find out of your classroom window. Good Luck

Island of adventure and epcot HELP!? -

Okay i am 13 years old and next weekend i am going to island of adventure and epcot in orlando. We are will be there from dec. 18-21 and i am the only one who likes scary rides please tell me how to get fast passes and if they cost $ and what rides are scary and how long the single rider lines are. I know of a few rides like mission space in epcot and hulk in iture. about how long would lines be on the dates i am going???

Epcot doesnt have many scary rides. fastpasses free but you only get a limited amount. Single rider lines on many rides.Islands of adventure tons of scary rides. 50$ fast passes. only some rides have single rider.. few.single rider is usually about 1/2 the time of the usual wait time

I just returned from those two parks. Epcot is much busier than Islands but only an extra 5-10 minutes wait. You re probably going to be expecting about 30 minute lines wait compared to the 10 minutes I did.Epcot offers fast passes for free while Universal Orlando you have to pay for them. Some rides in Epcot (I think) don t have single riders. It would be best to do single rider for Islands. You are basically doing the same amount as Express pass. If you do decide to do express pass for only Islands will cost you $19.99 + tax. I wouldn t do it because you will be the only one. Single riders wait no more than 15-20 minutes.There isn t many scary rides to do in Epcot. Only Mission Space but they even have a Mild version for you to do with your family and the line is half as long as the extreme one. Try doing Soarin early it isn t scary but the lines are always full 45 minutes when I went. test Track isn t scary and good for the family. Epcot only has a few rides. With your maingate ticket you go to the front of the ride and there will be this machine to get fast passes and it prints one out for you with the times for you to return.Islands has the Hulk, Dueling Dragons, and Doctor s Doom s Fearfall (i think that s the name). DD is usually the shortest waiting time of the three. There was no wait time. Dueling Dragons has a LONG queue line but you basically just jump on when you get to the coasters. The hulk is a bit busier of the three even with express pass, but the waiting time isn t really long. It was 5 minutes on a Wednesday and 10 on a Saturday. You can get your express pass for for the park online or at the gate.Good luck and have fun!!!

Universal has some discounts available for purchasing online. Disney does not, but you will save time and won t have to stand in line. There s nothing you are going to find when you get there - possibly a buck or two off at the visitor s center.Just FYI, MGM Studios is called Hollywood Studios now, and Animal Kingdom is a Disney park. Personally, I don t think Animal Kingdom is all that great. But since it appears you are spending 5 days at Disney, you might want to give it a try. It s a smaller park and doesn t take as long to do, so you might want to do it in the middle of your visit and take part of the day off for a rest. You have got an action-packed trip planned, and a rest will most likely be welcomed by that time. So maybe Tuesday or Wednesday, spend the morning at Animal Kingdom, then go back and rest for a while.
